Seduced By My Billionaire Boss

Chapter 52: HIS OBSESSION

Chapter 52: HIS OBSESSION

Inside the sunny town of Rhonda, Leon stood gazing out into the river, in his hands were a handful of corn which he used in feeding the Pigeon which perched around him searching for food that only he could give them.

He smiled as he watched two fights for the last meal on his hands. He liked it. He liked the way they stared at him, begging him to feed them a little more and he liked the way he always refused which was what he was doing right now as he folded the paper bag in his hands.

The pigeons soon noticing their pleas fell on deaf eyes all flew off probably to search for another meal somewhere else.

Leon scoffed to himself as he watched them leave one after another. The last one left and the smirk was soon replaced by anger as he kicked a stone to the shore "Stupid creatures!" He cursed in anger.

"Ungrateful little flies. If I didn't feed them, they would have died of hunger" Leon lamented to the animals as he glared at them.

Everyone dragged their children away from him as soon as they noticed him talking to himself but that didn't bother him. He was used to it. That's how humans behave. Show them a side of you you've never shown anyone else, they diagnosed you with mental problems. Why couldn't they understand, he wasn't obsessed, he just wanted her. She was his woman! He made her what she was now! He made her into a woman.

"Are you sure he's alright?" A voice to his right caught his attention as he turned to see a little crowd had gathered to watch him.

"I don't think so. Don't you see his dress, it looks like it has seen more than enough lifetime" Another reply as he pointed to his cloth.

Leon snorted as he reassessed his cloth to see what the vile comment was about? His blue denim pants had turned darker since Leon couldn't remember the last time it was placed in water. And his white Polo top, well that was the colour when he had bought it some years ago but now it was brownish with some stains of food. Leon couldn't remember the last time he washed them but he was glad. If for anything, he loved their colours now and no one was going to put him down because of it...

"What are you looking at, huh?" Leon shouted at them as they all scramble away in fear while they mumble to themselves.

"I'll need to see the authority, they shouldn't have allowed a mad man entry," A woman said as she clutched her five years old son tightly in her hands, she went in the direction of the security office

Leon wasn't in any bit bothered by her words. Contrary to what everyone thinks, he wasn't crazy. His mind and body were only connected to a woman. He lives for her; he can think unless he's with her.

Leon jolted out of his thoughts as soon as he noticed a figure rushing to his place beside the beach. No, make that three__ Leon corrected himself as soon as he noticed three security men were coming over to him.

"Fuck! That stupid woman has reported me. I don't know what's wrong with humans. Why can't they just mind their business? I wasn't disrupting their business for heaven's sake" Leon lamented bitterly as he pulled a drag of the cigarette in his hands which he had forgotten in his monologue.

The securities soon got to his place, they paused as they kept some distance between them. Their blue trouser and white shirt uniform shine under the sunny cloud, their wide and long batons could send shivers down the spine of anyone but it wasn't Leon. He glared at the men, his eyes void of fears.

"What do you want?" Leon glared at them as he pulled another drag of his cigarette. He knew they couldn't have him arrested. As far as he knows, he wasn't violent. He was just minding his business.

The first security gulped nervously, his step forward, he seemed to be the eldest among them. Leon guessed he was the boss "I___ Mr.___ can__ you come with us" The security stammered as he tried to get Leon to come with them.

"Why?" Leon asked, the cigarette still on his lips, he pulled a drag and turned to exhale the fume into the face of the security "Like that?" He asked the security again. He burst into laughter as soon as he glimpsed the fears in the security's face.

The boss was trembling with fear, he was so ashamed of himself. How can an insane man make him feel like this? He commands a force; the security couldn't put a name to.

To save face, he turned to his subordinate and barked orders at them "Seize him now" While he stepped aside to watch them carry it out.

The men all charged after Leon, they faltered a little before they grabbed him. Leon, who was still laughing, followed them after throwing the little remains of his cigarette into the river.

"So, where are you taking me?" Leon asked after some time of walking in silence as they all trekked around the property. He was losing patience; he had an appointment with his doctor today at Five p.m.

"Shut up!" The boss screamed; he suddenly regained his authority as he opened the door to his office which reads "The C.S. O's Office"

Leon snorted at the lettering on the door before he was thrown into the room. He turned to glare at the two men who had thrown him, he saw the relief in their eyes as they turned back glad to be free from him. He wanted to beat but decided that was for another day.

"Have a seat" Leon turned to see the boss was already seated, he motioned him into the seat in front of him.

Leon sank down while grumbling "I can't stay long" Leon told him as he rested his hands on the table just as his eyes got the clock on the wall to see that it was three pm

"I wouldn't want you to, anyway" The boss replies as he bends to search for something underneath his table.

"I just need to sign this undertaking then you'll be free to go" The man continued as he shuffled through files on the floor, probably searching for the undertaking files.

Noticing the unusual silence from the man across from him, the boss raises his eyes. He fringed as soon as he noticed the murderous look on the man's face.

He stood up and stepped back with fear in his eyes while wondering what he could have said to warrant the anger in his eyes "Please, don't hurt me. I have two kids. The last one is just two years old, please" The boss pleaded, as beads of sweat perched on his brows and forehead.

Leon raises his eyes from the magazine in front of him. He gazed at the boss in confusion wondering why he was begging him. His gaze soon returned to the magazine in front of him as he became drawn to the photo that had grabbed his attention. He turned to the boss and pointed to the magazine "Can I have this?" He asked him, the murderous look was still in his eyes, it became harsher as he saw the photo.

The trembling man moved forward a bit to throw the magazine at him "You can have it. And this," He paused to search his wallet for any available cash.

He smiled as soon as he found a couple of dollar bills "Here, please don't harm me"

Leon looked at him in shock wondering why he was giving him money but he collected it anyway and stood up "If that's all, I'll take my leave now" Leon told him as he stood up, his right hands went to pull his itching bears.

The boss wanted to protest and ask him to sign the undertaking but his eyes fell to his grip on the magazine___ He gulped as he nodded for him to leave. To hell with the undertaking, he would rather have him leave than stay a minute with him in the room.

Leon stepped out of the door, he closed the door, and looked at the cash in his hands, he shrugged and put it in his pocket while he turned to the magazine in his hands.

His glare came back in full force as he stared at the woman in the photo, he traced her face, lips, and neck before crumbling the paper in his hands while screaming "No! No!! No!!!"

He dropped the paper on the floor and walked away with a determined stride.

The boss hadn't heard the scream from his office, opening the door gently as he heard the receding footsteps. He took a peep before opening the door wider. He saw the man was no longer there but near his stand was the crumble magazine. The boss bent to pick it up and read aloud the headline of the photo.

"New York's Most Eligible Bachelor Engaged to His Assistant"

"Woah! Another office romance comes true. Well, I'm a fan of it. Congratulations, you both" The boss said with a smile as he noticed yet another headline on the same subject.

"Thompson's Second Heirs Set to Tie the Knot with His Secretary"

"Oh! Woah! This lovely" The man exclaimed with excitement, he traced the picture of the smiling girl in the photo "And she's such a pretty Angel. It's no wonder her boss couldn't resist her'' The man commented as he was suddenly drawn back to the man who had left.

"Why would a homeless man get angry from this?" The boss asked as he gazed down the lane where the homeless man had disappeared to.

Finding no answers to his questions, he shrugged and went back to his office with the magazine in his hands "Who cares, I'm glad he left my office for good"

Leon turned into an office building, judging from the happy face of the employees one could tell he frequented here.

"He's in his office," The receptionist told him without waiting for him to ask.

"Thanks, Clara" Leon replied as he smiled at her before stepping into the elevator which took him to the second floor.

He stepped out and knocked on the office. As soon as he heard the voice telling him to come in, Leon opened the door and walked in. He slumped onto the couch and turned to the man who had to pause to watch him in shock.

"You're early today. I see we're making progress" The Doctor commented as he closed the file in front of him and picked up another from the cabinet beside him.

"I'm leaving. Can we start already?" Leon groaned as he sat up on the couch. His hands knitted together in a nervous stance. In front of his doctor, he was vulnerable. He can't have him reading him.

"Leaving?" The doctor asked as Leon nodded, he waited for him to expand but Leon stared tight-lipped while watching him.

"Okay, let's start," The Doctor told him after seeing no explanation was coming. He stood up to sit beside him.

"So, tell me more about this woman?" The Doctor asked as he stared at the smiling face of a teenage girl.

"Her name is Skylar. She was my childhood friend before we started dating a few years ago" Leon repeated his words with a smile on his face. This had been their routine, the doctor asked him about Skylar and he told him everything without holding back but right now, he was impatient, he wanted to catch the first plane to New York.

"That's good, Mr. Rodriquez. Just like before I'll give you this advice_____"

"Try dating another lady or two and let's watch from there," Leon said, already on his feet as he cut the doctor off.

"I'm aware of your advice doctor, but I can't ever be with another woman. She's my life, I can't live without her" Leon said as he stepped to the door, he opened it.

"Where are you going? We are not through with today's sessio______"

The door slammed close loudly shutting the doctor off as he shrugged and went back to his desk. He took his telecom to put a call through to his secretary'' Send in the next patient. Thank you, Clara"

Leon rented the first car he saw at the airport and drove to Skylar's house after contacting his friend but unfortunately, she had moved.

He couldn't find Skylar's new address on the internet. He couldn't believe she had moved away from the house he bought for her and she had sold his car.

Leon got back to the car and drove to her mom's house where he parked the car and sneaked to the porch, hiding from her receptionist in the flower shop. His friend met him there.

"Leon, are you sure this is alright? I can't believe it the first time I'm seeing you in years, we'll be breaking into your ex-girlfriend's house" His friend voiced his protest but Leon wasn't listening to him. He got out his pocket knife and turned the lock with it, it clicked open as they both stepped in.

"It's empty. Thank God" His friend commented after searching through the house for any sign of Skylar's mom.

"Stop being so paranoid, Ty" Leon growled at his friend as he glared at him.

"I'm not being para______"

"Shush! Someone is coming" Leon told Ty who paused as he also noticed the sound of the approaching footsteps.

"Quick, switch off the light" Leon commanded, his voice now harsher as he peered out through the curtains to see Skylar speaking with someone. He stepped away soon as he saw her coming over. He turned to see Ty had switched off the light. They brace themselves for the sound of the doorknob.

Leon watched as Skylar stepped into the room. He stepped into the light where she could see him from the tiny stream of sunlight from the curtains.

He saw her eyes widen in shock before she gasped. He smiled. He was glad she could still recognize him.

He watched as she opened her mouth about to scream, he took out the gun from his pocket and pointed it on her chest which make her shut up in seconds before she fainted

"Welcome. I've been expecting you" He called to her as they both rush to her side
