Angelina’s POV

I was petrified to say the least.

Both by his words and his slight movement that made me very much aware of it only after he mentioned it.

I wasn’t hot and bothered like he insinuated because I was too scared and too angry to focus on anything else besides beating the shit out of him and blowing off all my bottled up anger on him.

He was right about one thing though, annoyingly right, my pussy is virgin. And maybe that’s exactly why his words combined with his hard erection pressing and pulsing against me scared me and frightened me more than it should had I possessed the slightest experience with anything sexual.

I’ve never even been kissed before can you believe that?

Never reached to any base like any normal eighteen year old.

It had something to do with what my mom had been through. It made me grasp to protecting myself and not give a piece of myself to just anyone who showed me the slightest interest. I was really careful when it came to boys.. No one even held my interest much. Well, except for the trainers at the martial art classes I’ve been taking for the last three years. These guys were ripped, muscled, and sexy as hell. But sadly for me, they were all already taken and claimed. So it left me with no chance to experience anything. Even my classmates were never that interesting to me, not enough to make me just give it to anyone in order to get rid of that V card.

We were staring silently at each other’s eyes. I tried to hide the fear within me, tried to not let him see how much he freaked me out, but it was too late. He was staring straight through my soul. He saw everything. And he did care about how he made me feel, because in the next two seconds, he was off me, standing up and staring down at me with a blank expression again. No anger, no hate, no coldness.

I couldn’t help it, I stayed right there where he left me, sprawled on the wet snowy ground as I sighed and closed my eyes, trying to get my heart beating at a regular rhythm again, not caring that the threat was pretty much still active and still looming over me.

“Did you get it all out of your system so we can have a normal conversation again?” I heard him say firmly.

I opened my eyes and saw him still staring at me the same way.

“Hardly” I said through gritted teeth.

And that got me a reaction, a provoking one of course.

He smirked at me “Wow, I must have really gotten on your nerves more than I thought”

I narrowed my eyes at him in bafflement.

How could he be so light now when not two minutes ago he was about ready to start torturing me?

When it comes to him, nothing should really make me that surprised anymore. I’d expect just about anything from him at this point.

Diana came over to me and helped me to stand up on my own two feet.

“Are you ok? Are you hurt anywhere?” she asked me with concern.

I heard Lucas scoff “You should be asking me that! Don’t worry, she’s perfectly fine, aren’t you Angel?”

And we’re back to square one again.

I glare venomously at him as I snap “I’ll be fine once you give me my ID and let me go”

He shook his head and said playfully “Never gonna happen. Don’t waste your breath on this. You’re not going anywhere” even though his tone was playful, I couldn’t miss the seriousness underneath it.

“So that’s it? You’re kidnapping me? Keeping me here against my will?” I asked him in a hard tone.

“Angelina, it’s not safe for you out there. Zade wants you, and if you go on your own, he will get you again” Diana said softly before Lucas could reply to me.

“Don’t you get it mom? That’s exactly what she wants. She wants to go to him, why else would she ask me to let that man take her and leave? She knew where he was taking her and she had no problems with it. She wants to be rescued. And all that nonsense about her being taken and handcuffed against her will, it was all a show in case we got to her. It was all a lie to make us believe she was innocent in all this. But you’re so far from that aren’t you…. Angel?” he said viciously.

I knew what he was doing. He was baiting me again. Provoking me to slip up and give him something, anything. But I wasn’t going to fall for that.

The words ‘fuck you’ were at the tip of my mouth, but I barely held myself as I registered Diana’s presence next to me.

The asshole was going to make me use that sentence again in less than three minutes from the last one. He was bad for me, so fucking bad for me. I need to do whatever I can to leave this place.

I turn around and start heading for the gate, screw my ID, I’m leaving, and the only way he’s going to stop me is if he shoots me, and I don’t fucking care anymore.

“Angelina?” I heard Diana call me but I kept walking.

I passed by David and Mathew, half expecting them to stand in my way, but they just stood there, staring at me with a bewildered expression. I don’t know if it was the fight scene, all that screaming, or the fact that I was attempting to leave despite the three men posted in front of the gate that had that look plastered on their faces.

I reached them and stood there, staring hard at them, waiting. Waiting for them to either shoot me or get out of my way.

They were looking behind me, probably at Lucas. Waiting for him to issue an order.

When nothing happened for ten more seconds, I spoke coldly “Move, or you won’t like what happens”

“Come on Angel, you can’t take off like that, it’s rude” I heard Lucas say sardonically from behind.

I don’t bother replying anymore. It was a losing battle either way.

I kept staring daggers at the three men instead.

“Do you even know where you’re going? Wait of course you do. You were lying about that too, weren’t you? You know exactly where they were taking you. If you want to go to him so bad, just give me the address and I’ll drive you myself, I promise” he said tauntingly.

I ball my hands into fists, each commentary squeezing the life out of my heart slowly.

I can’t take all those piercing accusations anymore.

I’m not the person he thinks I am and it’s taking everything within me to keep my mouth shut from screaming the truth at him, because I was one hundred percent sure that he will only hear one sentence while ignoring everything else I say. He will only hear ‘Zade’s daughter’ and nothing else will matter to him.

It won’t matter that I will tell him that I want nothing to do with that asshole. That I hate him more than he does. That I am ashamed of myself for even admitting my blood relation to him.

Because I was a liar from the start, and that will be seen as just another lie to him.

I thought lying was going to save me, but it ended up being the thing that will kill me.
