Alex’s POV

I have to say, when Jenny suggested we skip dessert and head upstairs back to our suite, I almost carried her in my arms and raced back to our room.

“I know, but….we weren’t married for love Alex. And up until a week ago, we hated each other. It’s so sudden, no one will expect us to come back holding hands and looking adoringly into each other’s eyes. Especially after the way you forced me into coming here with you”

“I don’t care what everyone thinks of this. The only one I care about regarding this matter is you. And I know you’re okay with us being together, am I wrong?” I asked firmly.

We closed our eyes and drifted to sleep after that.

Nothing felt good as that moment.
