Chapter 1075: Confidential
Chapter 1075: Confidential
Old Mr. Seymour suddenly clutched his chest, feeling a bit short of breath."Grandpa?" Charles Seymour stood up abruptly.
Old Mr. Seymour waved his hand and said, "I’m fine."
After he finished speaking, he let out a heavy sigh, then asked, "What did you just say? Sophie is..."
Charles observed Old Mr. Seymour’s expression carefully, making sure nothing was wrong, and then nodded and said, "Yes."
"Then when did Sophie have the baby? Why did she give the child to you?" The more Old Mr. Seymour spoke, the more he felt something wasn’t right. "How come Sophie has never asked about the child?"
"This matter involves secrets." Charles’ words left Old Mr. Seymour speechless. His great-grandchild’s identity involves secrets?
"I don’t care about secrets or whatever, I just want to know when my great-grandchild and granddaughter-in-law can be reunited." Old Mr. Seymour set aside his earlier shock and went straight to the core of the issue.
Charles remained silent.
"I’m asking you, say something!" Old Mr. Seymour urged. Was Charles deliberately trying to make him anxious by not speaking?
"Within a year." Charles pressed his thin lips tightly together, speaking the words heavily, reminding both Old Mr. Seymour and himself of the final deadline.
"Alright then." Old Mr. Seymour knew Charles wasn’t someone to act recklessly, and he sighed lightly, saying, "Go accompany Sophie."
"Okay." Charles got up to accompany Sophie.
Old Mr. Seymour pressed his forehead, thinking about what Charles was really doing outside back then.

"Hayley, you’ve been quite the dutiful wife and mother lately, actually coming to the supermarket to buy things. That wasn’t like you at all before." Charlotte Hart looked disdainfully at the surroundings.
Alright, this was an imported goods supermarket, more upscale than regular ones, but she hardly enjoyed shopping anyway.
She truly didn’t expect Hayley Cole to invite her to a place like this.
"Of course things are different now; I’m married now, aren’t I?" Hayley Cole happily put items into the shopping cart, "My husband James started his own company and is busy now. I have to take better care of him, buy him some things to nourish his body."
"Tsk, tsk, tsk... James Reed is really lucky to have married such a virtuous wife like you. You... what’s wrong?" Charlotte Hart was startled, looking at the sudden change in Hayley Cole’s expression. The items in her hands were crushed out of shape, and she was glaring fiercely in a certain direction.
Following Hayley Cole’s resentful gaze, Charlotte Hart’s eyes lit up with a spark of interest, "Sophie Wilson, huh? What’s she doing here?"
It looked like Sophie Wilson had finished her shopping and was pushing a cart to check out.
"Hayley, she’s leaving," Charlotte Hart reminded. If Sophie left, there would be no drama to watch.
To Charlotte Hart’s disappointment, Hayley Cole angrily tossed the items in her hand into the shopping cart and grumbled, "Let her go."
Just let it go like that?
Charlotte Hart was surprised at Hayley Cole. If she let it go like that, how could she cause trouble for the Cole Family?
Her eyes rolled as she smiled and said, "Well, now Sophie’s uncle is an engineer, and most people wouldn’t dare mess with her. Hayley, you know avoiding her is really wise."
"Who, who said I want to avoid her?" Being looked down upon by Charlotte Hart made Hayley Cole feel both ashamed and angry.
