102 Breakfast
102 Breakfast
Kacie
I was exhausted as Viktor turned me to face him before holding me in his arms. I heard the sound of a cap popping open followed by hands in my hair. Jake lathered my hear and I closed my eyes to the sensation of his fingers dragging along my scalp. Viktor grabbed a loofah and squeezed a considerate amount of body wash on it. The material pressed against my skin and I watched my mate as he washed my body.
They cleaned me up and took care of me. The act of them taking care of me brought tears to my eyes. I felt incredibly loved and cared for. My limps were jelly as I took turns leaning against them as they washed up. My hair smelled of mango and I fought the urge to fall asleep.
Jake held me as Viktor turned the water off and stepped out of the shower. He came back with a stack of towels. He passed Jake one and started to dry my body off. One second, Viktor wrapped me in a towel, and in the next, he picked me up. We stepped out of the bathroom and he set me on the bed.
Jake appeared with more towels in his hand. Viktor grabbed one and started to dry my hair. Jake knelt beside us and I watched as he squeezed lotion into his hands. Cold liquid touched my legs but Jake quickly massaged it over my skin. A moan left my lips as he started on my feet. His fingers slid between my toes as his thumb massaged the bottom of my foot. I needed this.
They took care of me and when I was all dry, I crawled into bed and lay on my side. Jake got in behind me and snuggled against my back. Viktor sat on the bed and pushed a strand of hair behind my ear. “You’ve done so well,” Viktor said. “I didn’t know what to expect when we arrived yesterday but this has been more than I could have hoped for.”
Jake threw his hand around my waist and Viktor lay down in front of me. He continued to touch my hair, my face, my cheek. “Today has been amazing,” Jake said from behind me. “Thank you,” he murmured. I reached down and squeezed his hand on my waist.
“I love you,” he said.
“I love you too,” I whispered.
“I was hoping to talk to you, little queen,” my mate murmured.
“Mmm,” I said, my eyes fluttering. “About what?” I asked.
“About us, about today, about yesterday, about the three of us,” he said.
“We can,” I said with a yawn.
He gave me a smile, leaned forward, pressed a kiss to my forehead, and kissed me gently. “I don’t think so. We can talk about it another day, get some rest, my love.” I didn’t have a defiant bone in my body. We lay in bed together for a few more minutes. Instead, I smiled, closed my eyes, and fell asleep.

Viktor
Jake trailed his hand along the wall as he walked down the stairs, the morning sun glowing around his hair like he was favored by the Goddess. His expression was one of satisfaction and content. He looked well-rested and I smiled when he noticed me.
“Good morning, Alpha,” he said.
“You don’t have to call me alpha here,” I said.
“Good morning, Viktor.” “Good morning, Jake,” I said.
I wanted to talk to him but I wanted to speak to Kacie first. I had the need to set rules and define what we are. Jake’s eyes softened as he walked across the room.
“Don’t do that,” Jake said.
“Don’t do what?” I asked.
“I can see right through you,” Jake said as sat in one of the stools on the other side of the counter from me. “You’re already trying to figure out how to put this in a box, where to draw our boundaries and define what we can and can’t do. Can’t you just enjoy this? Be in the here and now, don’t try and be a leader right now.”
The sudden urge to put him in his place for questioning me rose up but I quickly swallowed it down. I dropped my gaze to the counter before looking back up at him. “Is that a command, Beta?” I asked.
His eyes widened as he stared at me. A small smile spread across his lips and his eyes danced as he realized I was playing. “If that’s what it takes, Viktor,” he said.
“Come here,” I said.
He moves, hopping off the stood, moves around the counter, and cuts out the distance between us. I didn’t reach out and touch him and he didn’t either. I wanted to punish him for his sass but I didn’t.
“It still feels like we can’t,” Jake said.
It does. I know what he means. I haven’t touched or been with anyone else since Kacie and now that it’s the three of us. I don’t think my heart knows it’s okay.
“Where’s Kacie?” I asked instead.
“She’s still in bed,” Jake said with a smile.
“Is she okay?” I asked.
“She was asleep when I came down. You weren’t in bed,” he said and trailed off. “I wanted to come and find you. I also thought we could make our queen something to eat.”
“I woke up and the both of you were still asleep. She needed sleep after last night and I didn’t want to wake you. I slipped out and came downstairs,” I said. “As you can see,” I said nodding towards the counter. “I was trying to decide between omelets and pancakes.”
Jake looked over at the food I had splayed out; eggs, spinach, tomatoes, flour, and fruits. “I think we can divvy up on the cooking. You take the omelets and I’ll make the pancakes. She can have a bit of both,” Jake said.
I took a step towards him, reaching out, I touched his cheek.
“I love you, my little beta,” I said. His eyes widened and emotion flashed through his eyes. Before I could see too much, I turned away from him, moved to the sink, and started washing my hands.
