The world was spinning and my heart almost stumbled out of my chest as the girl cried out with each thrust of his powerful hips. Athena would be as mortified as I was. She did not approve of us getting here and with each drink, her voice got quieter until I couldn’t hear her anymore. I was frozen in place, unable to drag my eyes from the scene in front of me.

Jason groaned with desire as he looked up at his reflection and I was caught in his gaze. His glowing eyes locked on me and darkened as he continued thrusting into the woman on the counter. His canines extended and his head lowered as his tongue came out and ran along his bottom lip. The woman cried out as her orgasm ripped through her.

“Oh, fuck!” she moaned in ecstasy.

“That’s right,” he growled, “give it to me.” He continued driving into her until he grunted his release. His eyes never left me as he emptied into her, thrusting a few more times. He took a step back and she dropped down; her heels clicked on the floor. “That was fun. If you want—”

“Get out,” he growled. The woman was speechless, she stood still a moment before she pulled her dress down and dusted herself off. She pursed her lips before turning on her heel and heading out of the bathroom. His eyes were still on the stall and he remained quiet until the door slammed behind her. It felt like everything stood still as I waited for him to leave. “Are you going to stay in there all night, Luna?” He asked, his voice low.

I swallowed. I don’t know if I was shocked by the fact he knew it was me or shocked by the fact that he kept screwing her after he knew I was in here. How long had he known I was in here? I flushed the toilet and stood. My hands trembled as I reached for the lock. My fingers fumbled with it until the door slowly swung open. I was left standing across from Jason as he looked down at me intensely. He fixed himself and buttoned his pants. I bit my lip nervously and his eyes zeroed in on the movement.

“Hi,” I said. I laughed nervously and tried my best at an enthusiastic smile.

“Do you insist on tempting me?” He growled. He cursed and ran his hand through his hair. “Did you enjoy the show?” He snarled.

I gulped.

“I-I,” I stuttered.

“You what?” He said.

“I-,” I said as I fought to stay standing. He took a step toward me and I fought the urge to step back. The world was still spinning and I swayed. Jason’s brow furrowed and he reached out to grab me. His hand wrapped around mine and I swear by the Goddess his features flickered. For a second, I saw Viktor but I knew that wasn’t right. I was in the bathroom with Jake-Jason.

“Jake is trying hard to stay away from you and yet you watched us fuck?” Jake-Jason said.

“If I recall correctly,” I said quietly, “I was in here first.” I tried to pull my arm away but Jason held tightly. “This is the women’s restroom.”

“You could have made a noise or said anything at any time that we came in,” he said.

“I wasn’t sure what to do,” I mumbled.

“I think you were sure,” he said as he stepped into my personal space. “I think you wanted to see what was going to happen and I think,” he said as he lowered his lips to my ear. “You enjoyed every minute of it.”

I swallowed. “No,” I said. “That’s not what happened.” I meant to sound firm but instead, my voice didn’t sound like my own. “I think I need to get back to Jamie,” I mumbled. I turned from him but jerked to a stop. I turned my head to find his hand still firmly on my arm.

“I’ll take you,” he said.

I nodded and he took the lead. I stumbled behind him until he growled and dragged me to his side. His smell engulfed my senses and I blinked to try and pull myself from my thoughts. When we reached the table, it was empty and Jason pushed me into the seat before sitting beside me. There were a few shots on the table and I threw them back. I don’t know where my thoughts were going but they saw full shot glasses and knew they needed to be empty. Jason was facing the other way staring out at the dance floor.

“I’ve fought to take control all week and now that I’ve got it I’m stuck babysitting the one woman I can’t—Hey!” He said, snatching the now-empty shot glass from my hand. “What do you think you’re doing?!” He growled.

I giggled. “We’re at a club, Jake! I’m drinking of course.” My face was warm and my eyelids grew heavier by the minute. I looked up at the man next to me and his eyes flickered.

“You’ve had enough,” he said in a low voice.

I leaned my head against his muscular shoulder. “Oh, don’t be like that!” I pleaded. “This is my first night out with friends!” I dropped my hand and I felt the firm lines of his muscular chest. “Ooh,” I marveled. “Someone’s got muscles!” I squealed.

He grabbed the last shot glass and threw it back. When he slammed it to the table, he grabbed my hand and removed it from his chest. “We need to leave,” he said in a low voice. “You’re pissed drunk.”

“Am I?” I slurred. “Yes, and I need to save you before you do something you’ll regret,” he said.

“I don’t think I aaamm. What am I? A damsel in distress?” I pouted. His eyes roamed down my body before meeting mine again. “I definitely see some distress,” he mocked. I rolled my eyes as he got to his feet. “Let’s go, Princess.” He pulled me to my feet and wrapped me under his arm.

“I don’t need saving,” I slurred as I swayed.
