132: Eva's Wedding Disaster - Part 1

Susan returned to her apartment, waiting for Devon's instructions. She smiled ear to ear as she stood close to her bed, recalling everything Devon had told her. She had been a Moore all this while, and she didn't know. She had always wanted Devon to be her father since she was a child. She recalled what happened twelve years ago at the old Moore Family home.

Twelve Years back, Old Moore Family Home,

Two children were playing in a small room filled with toys.

"Let's play hide and seek," little Susan said.

"But we are not done arranging the lego?" replied little Bryce.

"Well, I am bored. I want to play hide-and-seek," little Susan said, getting up from the floor.

Little Susan folded her arms across her chest and frowned. She made a face and twisted her lips.

"Let's finish arranging the lego and we can play hide-and-seek," little Bryce said.

"My parents will come pick me up soon, and I won't get to play hide-and-seek," little Susan cried.

"Okay, I game and we will come back to the room," little Bryce said and little Susan smiled.

Little Susan rushed to Bryce and hugged him on the flow almost crushing him down.

"It's okay," Little Bryce said and stood up from the floor.

Susan also stood up, smiling.

"Okay, close your eyes and count to ten and I will hide," little Susan said and little Bryce just nodded.

"One, two, three,...."Little Bryce closed his eyes and began to count.

Little Susan went out of the room. Ensuring no one was looking, she went out the exit at the back of the house. Went around the house and ended up at the front of the house. She hid under one of the hedges.

Back in the room, little Bryce had finished counting and also went out of the room to look for little Susan. He looked everywhere and soon headed for the main down. From the side window, he saw something move outside, so he went out the front door.

Little Susan saw little Bryce exit the front door from where she was hiding. She noticed Bryce was looking around. Once Bryce was in front of her, she pushed him and he fell on the driveway. She left the place and ran back inside the house. She heard the crushing sound when she returned inside the house. One of the servants saw her enter through the back door and picked her up.

"Where did you go," the servant said and carried little Susan.

Later, she found out her parents had died.

Back to the present

"Sorry, mummy and daddy, I didn't mean to hurt you," Susan said. "But it was for the best," she added and her phone rang.

It was Eva. She quickly answered and they spoke for a while about her upcoming wedding. She didn't feel the need to tell Eva, that Devon was her biological father.

The day slowly passed and soon the next day was up.

At the Davis home, Martin approached Bryce with a brown envelope.

"Everything I found per your request," Martin said and handed the envelope to Bryce.

Bryce accepted it and opened it.
