Chapter 122 Heroes Reunite with Two Sisters
Chapter 122 Heroes Reunite with Two Sisters
Chapter 123 Heroes Reunite with Two Sisters (Old and New)
Picking up where we left off, Dumbledore was truly terrified when he heard Harry's question.
Just knowing that Sirius betrayed his parents had already filled him with such hatred. If he were to find out who leaked the prophecy, Snape probably wouldn't even live to see the start of the new school year.
"I'm sorry, Harry, I can't tell you." Dumbledore took a breath. "It's not the right time yet."
Harry was suspicious. "Professor, stop making excuses. Why is it such a bad time? Are you trying to fool me with some lies?"
Dumbledore opened his mouth to argue, but it was as if his throat was blocked with sticky rice, and he couldn't utter a single word for a long time. Just as he hesitated, he suddenly saw Harry turn around abruptly and stride out of the cemetery.
"Enough! Enough! The professor would rather refuse outright than deceive us with this Sirius Black information. He is truly honest and straightforward. I will simply leave it at that!"
Dumbledore breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. "Thank you, Harry."
The two men and the snake left the cemetery, and Dumbledore was about to cast a spell to teleport the apparition back to Diagon Alley.
Suddenly, a figure appeared in the distance, waving his arms and calling out, "Hey! Professor Dumbledore!"
"How did you get here—Harry?!"
The group looked closely and saw that the newcomer was Lockhart, dressed in a purple robe embroidered with gold and carrying an oil paper bag.
Harry was seething with rage and had nowhere to vent it. Seeing this guy was like a spark hitting a powder keg, and he exploded instantly.
He lunged forward, grabbed Lockhart by the collar, and shouted:
"You shameless scoundrel! How I warned you before? If you dare to fabricate those deceitful and fraudulent books again, I will not spare you!"
"And now you've written something like 'Hogwarts and the Chamber of Secrets,' are you just ignoring my words?!"
When Lockhart saw Harry's menacing approach, he assumed that Harry had come specifically to question him about the crime of writing the book, and Lockhart was so frightened that he was terrified.
The paper bag fell to the ground with a thud, and the fruits and vegetables rolled in dust.
He knew that his year of teaching had already revealed his true colors to Dumbledore, and that there was no point in trying to cover it up. He hurriedly begged for forgiveness:
"Wait a minute! Harry, I went down into the Chamber of Secrets too. The contents of my book... are indeed based on my personal experience!"
Harry sneered, "You're just pretending to be dead underwater, do I really have to expose you in public?"
"Besides, since you claim it's your own experience, why does the book contain so much about me?"
Nagini stuck out his tongue, "This violates your right to reputation."
"That's right! You scoundrel, do you even realize you've taken advantage of my reputation!"
Lockhart was horrified when he heard this.
He actually read my book?
They came prepared!
Lockhart began to tremble violently. He said, trembling, "Harry, you're right."
"Actually, I planned to split the profits from this book 50/50 with you, but I don't have your contact information, so I'm planning to wait until the semester starts..."
Dumbledore shook his head and suddenly spoke, "Giddleau, every professor has a book of students' home addresses."
"Really? Haha, this is the first time I've ever heard of that..."
Harry smiled knowingly and said, "If I hadn't asked, would you really have come looking for a share of the profits?"
Lockhart, though his heart was pounding with guilt, gritted his teeth and said, "I guarantee you'll receive the royalties before Christmas this year."
Hearing this, Harry finally released his grip. "Since you say so, I'll spare your life! But if you dare to deceive me, I'll teach you a lesson you won't forget!"
Seeing that the fellow had gone far away, Harry snorted and turned to Dumbledore, saying:
"How could the professor have been so blind to talent, allowing such a sycophant to infiltrate the school? Did he not even have a proper selection process when hiring?"
Dumbledore shook his head and sighed, "I thought his fame, coupled with his grand ideals, would make the students clearly aware of the dangers of Voldemort's ideology."
"In hindsight, this has had no effect."
"But rest assured, I have dismissed him and found a more suitable new professor."
"Ha! Hopefully, the professor will be more careful this time and avoid attracting any more strange or embarrassing people."
Dumbledore pondered for a moment, but remained silent. He then used Apparition, and the surrounding scenery suddenly distorted, and in an instant he was standing in front of the Leaky Cauldron.
"From now on, every weekend night, I'll come to the Leaky Cauldron to teach you how to control your thoughts, okay?"
Harry cupped his hands in a gesture of respect and said, "I'll leave it to the professor's discretion."
Having said that, he turned and slammed a bag of gallons on the counter, loudly proclaiming, "Bartender, are you here? Get me another superior room, the cleanest one imaginable!"
Dumbledore asked in confusion, "Harry, didn't you already rent a room?"
Harry clapped his hands and laughed, "Professor, how could you forget? This room was originally prepared for Sister Nagini!"
An ancient saying goes: boys and girls should not sit together after the age of seven. Although Nagini is temporarily in the body of a snake, she is still a pure and innocent girl. Wouldn't it be against propriety for her to share a room with Harry?
Nagini wagged her tail at this and said, "It's alright, Harry, just treat me like a pet."
"Oh dear! What are you saying, sister! If word gets out that I, Harry Potter, am keeping a mistress, what will the heroes of the martial world think?"
Nagini paused for a moment, then said strangely, "Okay, thank you, Harry."
Enough of this digression. Now, let's talk about Harry settling into the Leaky Cauldron, where he spends his days drinking and chatting with the Aurors who act as his guards, showering them with money, and secretly gathering information about Sirius Black.
Dumbledore would also visit every weekend to teach the way of holding fast to one's mind.
This path is easier said than done. Harry knew the blade was real, and trying to deceive himself was like burying his head in the sand. Whenever he tried to concentrate, he felt a hundred thoughts surging within him, making it even more difficult than learning Occlumency.
Time flies, and a month is almost up. Suddenly one day, a commotion was heard downstairs, and Ron and Hermione came rushing in, looking travel-worn and weathered.
"Harry!"
Hermione dropped her baggage and rushed forward to hug Harry.
Ron also beamed with joy, first moving the Scabbers mouse from his arms to his side pocket before he and Harry put their arms around each other.
Harry was overjoyed to see his two sworn brothers and immediately called to the bartender, "Bring three bottles of fine brandy and ten pounds of cooked beef! We're going to drink three hundred cups tonight!"
Once the three were seated, Harry scrutinized the other two closely and remarked with a puzzled look, "How strange! Both my sister and brother are traveling, yet only my sister seems to be exposed to the full sun?"
When you look at Hermione, her honey-colored skin glows like freshly milled wheat; she wears a T-shirt and khaki shorts, which accentuate her shapely figure.
With muscular arms and a slender waist, his every move exudes a wildness honed by wind and sand.
Even a burly man like Ron now appears as a pale-faced scholar in comparison.
Ron grinned and said, "We spend most of our time inside the pyramids, and my parents even cast a sunshade spell on me."
Hermione tossed her curly hair back, rested her chin on her hand, and chuckled, "Harry, have you been staying at the Leaky Cauldron all this time?"
"Indeed. Although there's not much to do, I'm fortunate to have Professor Dumbledore and Sister Nagini with me, so I'm not too lonely."
Ron was so startled by this that he choked on his drink and coughed, "Dumbledore, does Professor Dumbledore come here often?"
Hermione frowned slightly, tapping her fingers lightly on the table. "Sister?"
The story unfolds: the siblings reunite, drinking and chatting; they reminisce about the past, and Harry is found to have company. There was already an eldest sister, so why is there a new one now? To find out what happens next, stay tuned for the next chapter.
