Chapter 505 You're under arrest, Miss Hamilton
"what?"
Loila stared wide-eyed at the Aurors around her who had suddenly drawn their wands, momentarily stunned.
What does this mean?
I didn't come here—how did I suddenly become a suspect?
"What are you doing?" Lupin reacted much faster, or rather, he was much more vigilant. He swung his arm and drew his wand almost at the same time as the Aurors, but his lone wand seemed a bit powerless compared to the dozen or so wands around him.
"Miss Hamilton, I don't want this either," Andrew said, shaking his head slightly. "But it's Minister Fudge's order."
"No—no, no, no!" Loila quickly waved her hands and said, "That—that crime you just mentioned—has nothing to do with me."
“It’s not none of your business, Miss Hamilton,” Andrew said, frowning. “And it’s not something I should be thinking about.”
"We hope you can cooperate with our work—to avoid unnecessary casualties." He said, shaking his wand slightly, the threat quite obvious.
"Loila—" Lupin took a few steps back and stood in front of Loila: "If you get a chance, run away quickly."
"Then go find Headmaster Dumbledore immediately."
"Hmm————" Loila pursed her lips, looking at Lupin's back, and then looked at the wands around her.
It seems like... a peaceful resolution is impossible...
Thinking this, Loila nodded slightly.
Seeing her nod, Andrew continued, "Since you've chosen to cooperate, raise your hands high and then drop your wand on the ground."
"6
"Does nodding in England mean surrender?" Loila blinked at him.
"What do you mean by this?!"
Before Andrew could finish speaking, Loila flicked her right hand, unleashing a spell that immediately knocked down an Auror. Then, with a flick of her wrist, she sent two more Aurors flying before any of them could react.
"Expelliarmus!" Finally, an Auror reacted and instinctively swung his wand, but Loila dodged the spell with a sidestep.
His immediate response was the same disarming spell.
He collapsed to the ground, completely unconscious!
Three or four Aurors surrounded Loila, waving their wands at the same time. As the silver light attacked from all sides, Loila flicked the tip of her wand and deflected them all away.
Although she had just gotten out of bed, Loila felt in excellent condition. Perhaps it was because of her practice with Voldemort and herself, but she felt that her dueling skills had improved again.
After deflecting the spell, Loila immediately swept the tip of her wand, sending several Aurors flying. Then, she lightly flicked her wand, knocking over various roadside debris and knocking down several more Aurors.
In less than ten seconds, all the Aurors who had been surrounding Loila and Lupin fell to the ground, leaving only Andrew staring wide-eyed at the scene before him.
"Are you defying the Ministry of Magic, Miss Hamilton!" he said through gritted teeth, glaring at Loila. "This is a violation of—"
"Pop!" Before he could finish speaking, Loila snatched the wand from his hand with a flick of her wrist.
Therefore, he could only glare at Loila, who was holding his wand: "Resisting arrest is an even more serious offense!"
"I—I didn't resist arrest!" Loila said, pointing her wand at him. "I just—I just didn't want to go to Azkaban."
"And I haven't—I haven't broken the law!" Loila's rebuttal lacked power, but the magic wand in her hand was something else entirely.
Pointing the wand at her, Andrew, who was about to retort, didn't know what to say. He gritted his teeth and glared fiercely at Loira, saying, "This is the Ministry of Magic—"
"You can't escape."
"Why—why did I run away?" Loila muttered unconsciously.
"What?!" Andrew stared at her, his eyes wide.
"I—I didn't mean that!" Loila quickly explained, as if realizing something. "I meant—I'm innocent!"
"I need to see Minister Fauci!"
"This is Minister Fudge's order!" Andrew shouted, his voice making Loila's ears twitch as if she was quite disturbed.
"You audacious fool—"
"Enough, Mr. Andrew!" Seemingly realizing he couldn't win the argument with Royla, Lupin spoke up, "Royla defeated Voldemort and saved the wizarding world. Why is your Ministry of Magic suddenly taking action?"
"And was Headmaster Dumbledore aware of this? Was the Wizengamor Council aware of it?"
"Remus Lupin, mind your place!" Andrew clenched his fist and said, "Is the British wizarding world run by Minister Fudge or Dumbledore?"
"Is it the Ministry of Magic or Hogwarts that's in charge?"
Just as the three were arguing, a series of noisy footsteps came, and seven or eight Aurors rushed up from the road below.
Seeing the Aurors arrive, Andrew snapped out of his daze and immediately pointed at Loila, shouting, "She attacked the Aurors from the Ministry of Magic; she might be a dark wizard! Seize her immediately!"
As he spoke, the Aurors who were initially a bit confused all turned to look at Loila.
"Professor Hamilton?" An Auror pursed his lips, seemingly a little incredulous.
"Stop wasting time talking to them, just do it!" Andrew couldn't help but say, "They're dark wizards!"
Looking at the Aurors who had all raised their wands, Loila felt a subconscious headache.
This is bad—but—she glanced at Mr. Lupin, who was also gripping his wand tightly.
That's right—I'm not a criminal! You can't catch me! And Mr. Lupin too!
Thinking this, Loila gripped her wand even tighter.
"What's going on up there?"
In the main square of the Ministry of Magic, Parkinson asked casually while yawning. He was holding a cup of coffee in his hand, and even after taking another sip, he yawned again.
"I don't know." Another Auror shrugged. "But quite a few people have already gone up."
"How many people are there?" Parkinson scoffed. "And aren't you right here?"
"I just got up—and if something happened, it can't be anything serious—probably some dark wizard who was just imprisoned has escaped, right?" The Auror seemed quite nonchalant.
But Parkinson frowned at this moment.
"Is that dark wizard you're talking about really that powerful?"
"Um?"
Following Parkinson's gaze, the Aurors saw four or five Aurors fly down the steps and roll all the way to their feet.
"Oh dear, isn't this Mr. Andrew?" Seeing the man's face, Parkinson raised an eyebrow and smiled. "What a disheveled sight you've come to—"
"Damn Parkinson's!" Andrew cursed and shouted, "Grab Loila Hamilton!"
"What?" Parkinson dropped his coffee, which landed squarely on Andrew's head.
Ignoring the guy's shouting, Parkinson quickly ran upstairs.
However, as soon as he reached the top of the stairs, he saw the silver-haired girl carefully walking down from above.
Around her lay a dozen or so Aurors.
"Um—" Seemingly recognizing Parkinson's, the silver-haired girl blushed and pulled her hat brim slightly, calling out, "I—I'm innocent."
"They all fell down on their own!"
