Chapter 36 Alchemy Engine
Chapter 36 Alchemy Engine
"Malfoy, save me!"
As Paulanerella cried out, Malfoy, who was watching from the sidelines, suddenly shuddered.
He knew that staying in this place would lead to nothing but trouble. On one side was Kane, whose father had instructed him to befriend him, and on the other side was his identity as the eldest Slytherin.
As the youngest Slytherin with the best family background, the greatest talent, and the most human-like appearance, he naturally became the leader of this generation of Slytherins. Now that his younger brother had been attacked, if he, as the leader, didn't stand up for him, he probably wouldn't be able to continue being the leader.
However, if he chose to reprimand Paul Anreira for the sake of Kane and the others' friendship, the consequences would be even more serious. It would be like the younger brother eating the spoon for the older brother, but the older brother felt that the younger brother was not satisfied with eating the spoon, so he gave him a bowl instead.
If that's the case, let alone whether he can become the eldest brother, it's questionable whether he can even maintain his position in Slytherin.
"Ugh, I really don't want to take on this responsibility." Draco Malfoy muttered to himself in a voice only he could hear as he stood in front of Paulanera.
"Kane, Paul is my friend, and I hope you can give me some face," Draco Malfoy said, using his face-saving ability, which could be considered a firm statement.
"Just make him promise not to have any contact with me again, and to avoid me as much as possible." Kane didn't make any unreasonable demands, after all, all he really needed was a peaceful and stable life at Hogwarts.
Draco turned to look at Paul: "Can you do it?"
Paulanerella immediately nodded like a chick pecking at rice: "Of course! Of course!"
"And one more thing," Kane suddenly remembered something, "Mr. Enrella, how many Galleons do you have in your pocket right now?"
Polporella felt a sudden tightness in his purse: "What are you trying to do? Malfoy, help me! If this money gets stolen, I won't be able to call you 'big brother' anymore!"
Draco fell silent. This was another dilemma. If he asked Paulanerella to pay, his own position would be in jeopardy. But if he helped pay, that wouldn't be right either.
He could treat Kane to food and drinks for the sake of friendship, but in the current situation, giving Kane the money would be a complete surrender.
"Kane, didn't I tell you to give me some face?" Malfoy's voice slowly turned serious.
"Otherwise, why do you think I'm negotiating with him here? We were friends on the train, so I have no reason to target you. Just move aside," Kane said calmly.
Before enrolling, I built a scientific machine, but it could only perform tasks within the Eternal Realm. If I wanted to use Eternal Realm magic, I would have to continue advancing my technological skills and build an alchemy engine, which still required gold as a raw material...
It's quite a coincidence that the demand was made and then Mr. Paulanerella appeared right in front of us. Isn't he just a god of wealth?
After a moment's thought, Draco decided which side he should stand on.
Kane's friendship with the Anreira family, a family with whom the Malfoys have been close friends since the 17th century, is more important than that of a completely unrelated family.
"Of course not." Draco Malfoy pulled out his wand. He wasn't a fool like Paul, and he wouldn't be easily shoved against the wall by Kane.
Kane raised an eyebrow, and without the slightest hesitation, flicked his wand, sending out a blue beam that slammed Draco Malfoy against the wall.
Magic is so amazing; it can always turn the impossible into the possible.
The instant Kane made his move, Harry and Ron followed suit, their wands already in their hands.
On the other hand, Malfoy's two henchmen, Goyle and Crabbe, clearly lacked that kind of reaction ability.
Right before everyone's eyes, Kane stole nearly fifty Galleons from Paul Anreira's body.
Of course, Draco... spared his life because he treated him to Willy Wonka chocolates on the train.
After Kane and the others picked up the Galleons and left, Snape finally came out of the classroom and saw the mess in the corridor.
"So? You fought with Gryffindor and lost?" Snape naturally guessed what had happened and said with a gloomy face.
"Yes, Professor," Malfoy said, standing up from the wall and bowing his head.
"The potions written on the blackboard in class just now, everyone go back and copy them three times. Also, the Gryffindors who beat you all up like this, I need their names," Snape said.
"Kainheath," Draco replied.
"Anything else?"
"Only Kanehis."
Hearing this name that could drive anyone crazy, Snape couldn't help but pinch the bridge of his nose.
With so many Slytherins, getting into a conflict with just one person resulted in two of their own being pinned to the wall, almost unable to be pried off, while the other Slytherins just watched helplessly.
The instigator, much like Zhao Zilong, entered and exited seven times as if it were his own toilet...
"Copy it six times... no, nine times, nine times." After saying that, Snape left the corridor in a huff, leaving behind a huge pile of homework for Slytherins.
Meanwhile, in the Gryffindor common room.
"My dad said that Galleons contain fairy magic and aren't so easy to melt," Ron reminded him, looking at the neatly stacked Galleons in the small cauldron.
"Don't worry, I'm not using ordinary flames." Kane said, igniting his own shadow flames and then throwing the ball of shadow flames into the cauldron.
Ron's mouth instantly turned into an "O," and nearly fifty Galleons melted into liquid gold in an instant, just like ice cream in summer.
Harry then quickly picked up the crucible and poured the gold water into the mold in two batches.
Ron also used a rack to hold the mold and threw it directly into the basin of water next to him.
And so, after wasting two or three days at Hogwarts, he finally managed to scrape together two pieces of gold.
Kane quickly used his merciless iron hand to retrieve the two pieces of gold from the water, ran to the nearby scientific machine, sat on the ground, and flipped his hands like cat's cradle, instantly conjuring two long electronic components that looked like motors.
The most important thing has been taken care of. I had some leftover planks, and now all that's left to make the alchemy engine is stone bricks.
Unfortunately, it's getting late, and it's probably too late to go out and dig for stones now.
Fortunately...
Kane's eyes fell on the stone brick floor in the corner of the dormitory.
"Hogwarts, I love you."
Kane seemed to have some kind of peculiar fetish, doing things that harmed McDonald's while professing his love for it, and then casually tearing down a brick.
Harry and Ron were playing wizard chess when they suddenly heard a sound like construction work, so they looked up.
"What's this long, round machine that looks like it's made of old sheet metal for?" Harry asked quietly.
"This?" Kane patted the metal body of the large machine. "I call it the Alchemy Engine."
