From Gamma to Luna

Chapter 64

Chapter 64

Erika’s POV

The stick was approaching me at a faster speed. I let go of the rope and jumped to the ground. However, I sprained my ankle the instant I jumped to the ground. Angel pulled me aside and we both fell to the ground.

Ralph began to throw other things from the window. Angel and I kept rolling on the ground to dodge them.

Ralph had thrown all the things at hand. At this time, I summoned a dart and threw it at him. However, he lowered his head and hid behind the wall. He was in a high position with a vantage point and it was not easy for us to attack him.

There was only one thing we could do, run!

Angel stood up and looked tipsy. But luckily, she was still conscious and she knew what to do. She shook her head to stay alert and moved with me.

We moved at a fast speed. She was slower than before, but still faster than ordinary guys. Ralph tried to catch up with a car.

Make many turns and get rid of him. I mind-linked Angel immediately. After all, I was quite experienced at escaping.

She nodded and began to make turns as told.

After the fourth turn, Ralph's car was nowhere to be seen.

To be safe, we still kept going for ten minutes. She couldn’t control her speed and she would speed up suddenly and then slow down. Therefore, we bumped into a lot of things.

When we finally stopped, there were pains all over my body and I felt sick.

We had gotten rid of Ralph. But another problem arose. I glanced around and discovered that we were in the middle of nowhere.

I was sure that I had never been to this place.

First thing first, we needed to figure out where I was.

I searched for my phone. But my bag was gone.

"We are not in our pack, right?" she asked with a frown.

No, we're in danger. I mind-linked her and shook my head. I just heard footsteps. It sounded like a bunch of well-trained warriors because their footsteps were concerted and punctuated by a sharp voice that gave orders from time to time. It seemed that they were patrolling at night.

Angel's face changed. She also heard footsteps.

We crouched down immediately and hid in the weeds. The warriors were coming in our direction. I clenched my fists.

I peeped at the warriors. It surprised me that the warriors took all kinds of weapons with them. Some carried swords and I knew that they were really good swords. Some had daggers around their waist. There were also some weapons that I had never seen before.

My eyes widened. I tried to mind-link Derek and told him about it. However, I was alarmed to find that I couldn't contact him.

What was going on? I could still mind-link Angel.

Was it because I took in poisons that could break the mate bond between mates?

But I should've been immune to the poison. I could feel that our mate bond still existed. It was just blocked.

There must be something that I ignored.

Suddenly, it occurred to me that the guards might belong to the Lumiere pack, the mysterious pack that was good at wielding weapons. Their warriors were best at wielding weapons.

The Lumiere Pack was a mysterious one. It had always been isolated and it seemed that they didn't give care what was happening outside their pack. Despite the complicated and ever-changing relationship between different packs, the Lumiere Pack refused to contact other packs. After all, they were an old pack with a tradition of developing good weapons. They could stay out of these issues while being safe at the same time.

Now I knew why I couldn't contact Derek. We must be in their pack and there was something that blocked me from contacting my pack. Angel broke through the block and sent us here with her gift by accident.

Fine, I could only play it by ear now that I couldn't mind-link Derek and had no phone.

Derek had been trying to gather more information about the pack. And now we were in this pack by accident. Honestly, it was a good chance to know more about the pack. The only problem was that Angel was poisoned and she needed treatment.

I made decisions immediately. I knew it was risky, but I had made up my mind.

Angel, use your gift, go back to our pack, and ask Derek to come for me. You are poisoned and you need medical treatment. I'll cover for you. I mind-linked her.

What about you? She asked through mind-link.

I'll stay here and get more information so that I can know more about the pack. I mind-linked.

No, that's too dangerous. I'll stay with you. I won't leave you here alone. She mind-linked.

You must leave. If I guess it right, we are in the Lumiere Pack. Our connection with our pack has been blocked now. I need you to come back and ask for help. I'll stay here. It's the order! I mind-linked Angel. The warriors were approaching us and we needed to act quickly.

She hesitated for a while and finally nodded.

Good. I'll attract the guards' attention. You wait for a while and then run to the way we came here. Run as fast as you can and don't turn around no matter what you hear. Are you clear? I mind-linked her.

Yes!

I counted to three and jumped out of the weeds. As I jumped, I shifted into wolf form.
