His Voice Alone

Chapter 14

Chapter 14

Leia’s POV

I told myself I was in control. I lied, again.

The lecture hall was too warm. The professor’s voice faded into a low drone, like background static I couldn’t clear.

I tried to take notes, but my pen hovered uselessly over the page. The only thing I could focus on was the memory of Ezra’s mouth near my ear.

The way he didn’t speak, but still said everything. The pressure of his palm at my throat. My own breath hitching as I obeyed him without question.

Crossed my legs tighter beneath the desk, that didn’t help. My panties were already damp, sticking to me in the worst way. I shifted again, trying to suppress the growing ache. It only made it worse, my skin buzzed.

My heartbeat drowned out the lecture. I leaned toward the girl beside me. “I’m not feeling great,” I muttered.

She barely looked at me. “You okay?”

“Nausea. I’ll be fine,” I said quickly, standing before she could ask more.

I slipped out of the lecture hall, my steps fast and unsteady. The hallway was cooler, but it didn’t help. The air still felt too thick. I turned into the women’s restroom.

Empty, quiet, and cold. I walked to the farthest stall, locked the door, and sat down.

My hands moved before I could stop them. I hiked my skirt up, breathing unevenly. My fingers pushed past the edge of my underwear without hesitation.

The heat waiting for me there was unbearable. “Shit,” I whispered.

The image of him behind me burned in my brain. Ezra, pressing his chest against my back. His hand at my throat. His fingers brushing my lips as he signed one word.

Touch.

I moaned softly, biting the inside of my wrist. My fingers worked faster. I wasn’t shy, not anymore. Not with him inside my head like this.

Every second of last night replayed in vivid, sharp detail, the way he watched me without blinking. The way he made me feel like he owned every inch of my skin.

My thighs trembled, my breath came faster. I was already close, already right at the edge, when I heard something. A soft rustle.

I froze, a piece of paper slid under the stall door. My heart stopped. I stared at it, my breath hitched. I reached down and picked it up with shaky fingers. My hands were still slick.

The note was folded, crisp. I unfolded it slowly. ‘You're more noticeable than you think.’

I stopped breathing. I stood too fast, nearly stumbling. My skirt dropped, my underwear clung to me. I barely got the latch open without fumbling it completely.

I shoved the stall door open. Ezra was there.

He stood against the sink, arms crossed. Calm, silent, and amused. His hoodie was pushed back, curls falling loose around his face.

His eyes locked on mine, and the corner of his mouth twitched, not a smile. Something darker. Like he knew everything, like he always had.

I couldn’t move, my chest rose and fell in uneven bursts. I didn’t know if I was embarrassed or furious, maybe both.

“You were watching me?” My voice came out low, cracked.

Ezra didn’t answer, just tilted his head and raised one eyebrow, like he was waiting for me to catch up.

“You followed me all the way here,” I said. “From the lecture.”

Still nothing, but I didn’t need words. His eyes told me he had never left.

“You don’t say anything, but you always know. Is that it?” My hands were clenched at my sides. “You always know exactly where I am, what I’m doing-”

He stepped forward, and my mouth snapped shut. He raised one hand slowly and signed, “Yes”.

My stomach flipped.

I hated how fast my body responded, how badly I wanted him to reach for me again. I hated that I hadn’t even finished what I started in that stall. I didn’t look away.

And all I could think was: He knew. He always knows.
