Soon to be Lycan Princess

Welcome to Nightshade

Welcome to Nightshade

He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck as if weighing his next words carefully. “For now, we have more important things to deal with.”

“Like what?” I demanded, still reeling from everything he had already told me.

“Like where you’re going next,” he replied matter-of-factly.

I frowned, taken aback. “Where I’m going?”

Sam’s golden eyes locked onto mine, unwavering. “To your pack. You’ll get your things and move to mine.”

I gaped at him, his words taking a moment to fully register. “Move to yours?”

“Yes.” His tone was so steady, so certain, it left no room for argument.

“You can’t just decide that!” I exclaimed, throwing my hands up.

“I just did,” he said, his lips twitching into the faintest of smirks. “You’re my mate, Eva. That’s all the reason I need.”

I shook my head, my frustration mixing with disbelief. “This isn’t how it works. I don’t belong in Nightshade. I don’t even belong here.”

Sam’s expression softened, his tone losing some of its edge. “You belong with me. That’s all that matters.”

His words lingered in the air between us, their sincerity cutting through my doubts. For a brief moment, I almost believed him. But the wounds from Jason’s rejection were still raw, and trusting another mate—especially one as overwhelming as Sam—felt impossible.

“You have to pack your things, Eva, or you can come with me and I'll buy you all the new things you need," he said, his voice firm again. “We leave tonight.”

I was hesitant. And he could feel it.

Sam asked, "Would you rather spend your life in a pack where you're mocked and insulted? That pushes you to end your life?"

I looked at him and said, "Fine. But let me say goodbye to my best friend."
