The Lost Alpha Queen: Heaven and Hell Bound

Chapter 94

Chapter 94

Katrina’s POV

She was fighting.

I heard the shaman’s voice in my ear, distant but clear. “Stay still. Watch.”

I didn’t understand, but I did as she asked. I watched my mother fight, her powers swirling around her in a chaotic dance. I counted them as she fought with her powers.

First of all, she had immense strength, stronger than anything I had ever felt. Secondly, she had the ability to refuel her energy, a power I had never known existed. Thirdly, she could heal, just like I could, but with an intensity I hadn’t thought possible.

Fourthly, she controlled water with her right hand and fire with her left. The elements bowed to her will. The fifth power was that she could do wonders with her spit, a strange power I didn’t fully understand. The sixth was she could make people or entire households invisible to enemies.

And finally, she could reverse time.

I gasped as the realization hit me like a ton of bricks. My mother, Luna, had powers that surpassed even what I thought was possible. She was a force of nature, and I... I had inherited her abilities.

Before I could process the overwhelming surge of emotions, I felt myself being pulled out of the trance.

The world around me flickered back into view, and I blinked, trying to make sense of what I had just witnessed.

The shaman was watching me, a small smile on her face. “Your mother was a powerful woman, Katrina,” she said softly. “You have much of her strength within you. But you need to learn how to harness it.”

I stood up abruptly, my mind racing. “I have to save him. I have to heal Adolphus.”

The shaman didn’t say anything else, she didn’t need to. I knew what I had to do now.

I rushed out of the room without another word, my heart pounding in my chest. I had no idea if the powers I had seen in the vision would work for Adolphus and Cassandra, but I wasn’t going to give up. Not now. Not when I could feel the weight of my mother’s legacy within me.

I ran back to the clinic, but when I arrived, I saw no sign of Adolphus or Cassandra. The room was eerily quiet, and my pulse quickened. Where were they? The pack doctor was gone too.

I spun around, my breath coming in quick, shallow gasps. Please, I thought, please don’t let anything happen to them.

And then I saw him.

Adolphus was sitting up in bed, his eyes fluttering open as if he had just woken from a long sleep. I froze, my breath catching in my throat.

“Adolphus?” I whispered, my voice trembling.

He looked at me, and a smile tugged at the corners of his lips. “Katrina,” he said softly, his voice rough but full of warmth. “You saved me again.”

Without thinking, I rushed to him, throwing my arms around his neck, pulling him close. I didn’t care about anything else. Just that he was alive. He was here.

He pulled away just slightly, his hands cupping my face as he kissed me gently, a kiss that felt like home. And for the first time in what felt like forever, I allowed myself to believe that everything was going to be okay.

“You saved me,” he repeated, his voice filled with wonder.

I smiled, my heart full. “We saved each other.”
