Accidentally Slept With The Ruthless Billionaire

Chapter 580: They’re Our Enemies

Chapter 580: They’re Our Enemies

Rupert’s face turned cold the moment he heard those two names. But he kept himself calm as he looked at Ashley.

“Ashley, I know what you and Stacey went through. I’ve been waiting for you to get out of prison.”

He reached out and gently pulled her into a hug. Her body shook as he held her.

“I didn’t just wait for you to be free. I waited so we could get revenge. Both of us. Against Dave and Bianca. They’re our enemies.”

“Wait… what?” Ashley looked up at him, shocked. “You too…?”

“Do you think I don’t want to claim you as my daughter?” Rupert said quietly. His eyes were filled with resentment. Stacey’s madness had left only his side of the story now. And he wasn’t planning to hide it any longer.

“Because of Dave and Bianca, I couldn’t see you. They tricked Lucas and locked me up here. That’s when I found out you were my daughter. But by then, you were already in prison.”

Everything suddenly made sense to Ashley. Rupert’s explanation seemed to fit. But it also made her furious.

“Bianca… I knew she’d ruin my life. What exactly did they do to you?” she asked, her voice shaking.

Rupert held her hand and sat with her on the sofa. He started telling her everything, twisting the story to make Dave and Bianca look like the villains.

Ashley’s jaw tightened. Her hands curled into fists as anger burned inside her.

“So, what now?” she asked. “After all they’ve done to us… we can’t just let them get away with it.”

“Scot-free? No way. They’ll pay for everything they’ve done. And I’ll make sure they spend the rest of their lives in misery,” Rupert said, his eyes filled with cold anger.

“From now on, you’re no longer Ashley Scott. You’re Ashley Evans, my daughter. I won’t let anyone hurt you again.”

Hearing that, Ashley nodded, her heart racing. Stacey might have lost her mind, but now she had a father far more powerful than Peter.

“Now, here’s what we need to do…” Rupert leaned in and whispered his plan in her ear.

Meanwhile, at the hospital’s rehab room…

For the first time since the accident, Blake managed to walk two meters without help. Sweat soaked his body, but his eyes stayed sharp and focused.

The doctor watched him, both shocked and amazed.

“This is unbelievable… What’s driving Mr. Lawson’s recovery? At this rate, he’ll make the fastest comeback I’ve ever seen.”

Brady’s former right-hand man now stood beside Blake. He stepped forward without hesitation, ready to serve his new boss.

“Congratulations, Mr. Lawson. You’re getting closer to returning to Edenfield. Everything’s prepared for you to take back the Lawson Group.”

Blake wiped the sweat from his forehead and calmly said, “Make a list of everyone in the Lawson Group who might have doubts about me taking over the company.”

“Understood,” the subordinate replied with a nod.

A major purge was coming.

Six months later.

Last month, Universal Pictures, the biggest film company in the world, announced they were looking for partners for their next blockbuster. Their first stop was Edenfield.

“It’s finally happening! I can’t believe it!” Bianca said, staring at the news on her laptop, her face full of excitement. Thinking back on the past six months of hard work, she felt it had all paid off.

In the talent agency world, Emerald Artists Agency was at the top, only Phoenix Entertainment came close.

Diana stood beside Bianca, just as excited. Her life had been all work for the past six months.

“We’re stronger than ever to win this time,” Diana said.

Bianca smiled and looked at her. “I’m sure the news is all over the internet by now.”

“Of course.”

Just then, Diana’s phone rang. It was Brandon. After a quick conversation, she turned to Bianca.

“Brandon wants me to treat him to dinner. He said we’ve been keeping secrets from him, and now he finally realized we’re aiming to work with Universal Pictures.”

“Go ahead,” Bianca said. “He’s helped us a lot.”

After Diana left, Bianca picked up her phone and scrolled through Twitter. The news about Universal Pictures had already shot to number two on the trending list and number one in entertainment, just moments after it was announced. People online were busy guessing which company and which artist would get picked.

“I wonder which agency will get this lucky. If they’re chosen, their artists will become superstars.”

“I heard from friends in the industry that everyone’s scrambling for attention. It’s a rare chance, but no one knows what Universal Pictures is looking for.”

“Isn’t it obvious? They’ll pick the agency with the best talent. Personally, I think Reese is the best.”

“Hey, I’m a big fan of Reese too. I think Emerald Artists Agency will win. They’ve been in the spotlight non-stop these past six months.”

“True, but honestly, I think Sophia is better.”

Since Bianca and Dave had gone public with their relationship, Phoenix Entertainment and Emerald Artists Agency had formed a strong partnership, pushing Gallop Entertainment out of the picture.

Even so, Bianca stayed focused on fair competition. Now, she found herself competing against her former company, Phoenix Entertainment. The thought left her with mixed feelings.

Meanwhile, Twitter was flooded with polls where fans voted for their favorite artists. As expected, Reese was leading—proof of the hard work Bianca had poured in over the last six months.

Bianca smiled as she scrolled through the tweets. “These people have good taste. The top three artists are all from Emerald Artists Agency.”

But she knew today’s success was mostly thanks to Dave. He had predicted Universal Pictures’ plans six months ago. If Bianca didn’t know he was the CEO of Phoenix Alliance Group, she might have thought he worked for Universal himself.

With more acting offers coming in, Reese now had a real shot at becoming a star. Her skills were solid, and she worked hard to improve. She had already helped several web dramas and online films become popular. Right now, she was the fastest-rising actress.

People were even saying she had been nominated for several film awards. Bianca hadn’t received any official word about that yet, but she didn’t feel the need to clear things up.

“Let them talk,” she said calmly. “It’s free publicity for Reese. There’s no harm in that.”

Bianca’s calm confidence was nothing like the panic spreading through other talent agencies. Many were now realizing how smart Emerald Artists Agency’s strategy had been, wishing they had acted sooner.

“Universal Pictures only made the announcement last month, but it looks like Emerald Artists Agency has been preparing for this for half a year.”
