Chapter 489: Something Was About To Happen
Chapter 489: Something Was About To Happen
“How much did Bianca’s sugar daddy pay you to sell your soul?”
“Is Glory Pictures going bankrupt? Why would you take dirty money? Gross! Did your CEO sleep with her too?”
Whether it was from public pressure or something else, Glory Pictures didn’t stay silent for long.
They quickly put out a statement.
They ended their deal with Emerald Artists Agency and asked Bianca to pay for all the losses.
The amount was huge.
Just the fine alone could shut her agency down.
Diana rushed over, her face pale.
“Bianc, what do we do now?” she whispered.
Bianca's brows furrowed deeply.
Since the car show, she hasn’t been able to reach Dave. He hadn’t returned her calls, and he wasn’t around to explain anything.
She hoped Wyatt might help clear things up.
She quickly called him, but the phone just kept ringing. No answer.
The pressure from the public was getting worse.
Bianca looked up. Natalie was staring at her with a smug grin.
She walked over, laughing with joy.
“Remember how you embarrassed me before?” Natalie said. “Now it’s my turn.”
She leaned closer.
“How do you like my little surprise? Look at the mess you’re in. By tomorrow, your agency will be done.”
Natalie tilted her head and smirked.
“But I’m not that cruel. If you kneel and beg me, maybe I’ll help you out. What do you say?”
“Natalie King, you should be ashamed!” Diana shouted, pointing right at her.
Natalie didn’t get mad.
She just laughed out loud.
“Me? I’m nothing compared to Bianca—the real queen of shameless! If she doesn’t kneel today, her agency will be gone by tomorrow!”
Right as her voice echoed through the room, the doors burst open with a loud bang.
The noise cut through the tension.
Everyone was shocked.
Natalie turned to look and her eyes went wide in shock.
Dave entered with a commanding presence.
He wore a sharp black suit. His face looked cold and unreadable.
Everyone gasped, and the room went still.
But what shocked them even more was the man walking behind him.
It was the same rich man people had just been talking about.
The one they claimed was backing Bianca in secret.
Now, seeing him walk in behind Dave left everyone stunned.
A wave of confusion swept through the crowd.
Reporters looked at each other, unsure of what to say.
No one dared to speak first.
Online viewers were just as confused.
Their screens lit up with nonstop comments.
“Isn’t that the CEO of Phoenix Alliance Group? Why did he show up out of nowhere?”
“Wait—wasn’t that the guy Natalie said was Bianca’s other man? What’s going on?”
“This is getting weird. Something big is about to happen!”
Diana, still in shock, gently pulled on Bianca’s sleeve.
She glanced at Bianca and noticed something had changed.
Bianca didn’t look scared anymore.
She stared straight at Dave like she had been waiting for this moment.
Natalie was utterly bewildered while looking at the scene in front of her. She couldn’t understand how that older man was connected to Dave.
The crowd moved aside as Dave walked in. He didn’t even look at Natalie. He just walked straight past her and headed toward Bianca.
Bianca stood still. Her face didn’t show any emotion.
Dave stopped in front of her. A small smile appeared on his face as he spoke in a calm voice, “Sorry I’m late.”
Bianca couldn’t help but smile. His words brought back memories of her engagement to Haris—when he showed up just in time, like a light in the dark when she needed someone the most.
Back then, Dave had said almost the same thing. His voice had been calm and gentle.
But Bianca wasn’t the same woman anymore. She had grown into a strong and confident woman—someone who could handle anything.
“You showed up just in time,” Bianca smiled at him gently.
Dave gave her a quick smile, then turned smoothly to face the crowd. His dominant and distant look was back.
He could feel their shock and confusion. So, he spoke up instantly to explain everything.
“Bianca is my girlfriend. Of course, I gave her the car,” he said. “As for that rich man you all think she’s involved with…”
Dave looked over at Wyatt and scoffed. “He’s just one of my employees. I was too busy to attend the luxury car show myself, so I asked him to go with Bianca. Don’t twist the story just to ruin her name.”
As he said this, he shot a sharp glare at Natalie.
Natalie's eyes widened, and her body trembled. She had imagined many things—but not this one.
The reporters and the crowd fell silent for a moment, stunned by what Dave had just said. None of them saw this coming. They had all gotten Bianca wrong.
As the shock wore off, all eyes turned to the real troublemaker—Natalie.
Natalie’s face went pale. With the cameras on her and thousands watching the livestream, she wanted nothing more than to disappear. The pressure in the room felt heavy.
She forced a shaky smile toward Bianca and Dave. “I guess I misunderstood Miss Scott. I apologize,” she said, trying to hide her nervousness. “But can you still answer the question I asked earlier?”
To her, Dave’s sudden appearance was the perfect chance to trigger things up. She wanted to use it to make Bianca look bad.
While planning her next move in her head, Dave stepped forward. His cold stare made the room feel even tenser.
“Is that what you're calling it?” he asked sharply.
“A misunderstanding?” His voice was sharp, cutting through the silence like a blade.
Natalie was stunned. Her confidence started to crack.
Dave’s voice was sharp and mocking. “Was it a misunderstanding when you paid Reese’s relatives to speak badly about her? Or when you teamed up with the Star Search staff to create drama? What about secretly following Bianca and taking her pictures at the car show? If all of that was just a misunderstanding, maybe your question doesn’t deserve a real answer either.”
Gasps filled the room. The crowd buzzed with shock, and every whisper seemed to tear down Natalie’s image.
Her face twisted with anger and fear, but she forced a stiff smile. “Mr. Evans, even if you’re trying to protect Bianca, you can’t blame everything on me unless you have proof. Do you?”
Dave glanced at Wyatt, who understood immediately and walked toward Natalie.
Wyatt gave her a cold smile. “If you want proof, Miss King, maybe check the internet.”
