Accidentally Slept With The Ruthless Billionaire

Chapter 484: Does Reese Know He’s Sick?

Chapter 484: Does Reese Know He’s Sick?

Before 4 P.M., reporters had already gathered outside the hotel where Emerald Artists Agency was holding the press conference.

They set up their cameras and found the best spots for the livestream.

As soon as it started, viewers poured in.

At the same time, someone posted online that they were at Reese’s aunt’s house. They planned to livestream interviews with her family and friends.

The news spread fast and triggered chaos online.

Viewers quickly left the press conference stream and switched to the new livestream.

In the video, the host stepped into a small, run-down apartment on the outskirts of town. The walls were cracked and peeling, with cobwebs in the corners. The table looked old and stained.

Homes like this were rare in a busy city like Edenfield.

Just as the interview was about to start, the comment section exploded.

“Reese’s aunt and uncle-in-law must’ve worked so hard to raise her. I feel bad for them.”

“Reese spent so much money on her career, but didn’t help her own family? That’s cold-hearted.”

“Why do people still support her? She should quit showbiz right now!”

As the backlash grew louder, Reese’s aunt and uncle-in-law appeared on camera. Their clothes were worn out. Their faces looked tired and full of sadness.

The host handed them the microphone. “Are you Reese’s aunt and uncle-in-law?”

“Yes, we are,” they answered.

“Can you tell us more about Reese?” the host asked.

Her aunt gave a slow nod. Her voice trembled with emotion. “Reese’s parents left her when she was little. We quickly brought her to our home because we felt sorry for her. We didn’t have much, but we used all our savings to make sure she didn’t suffer. We even put her needs before our own son’s.”

Tears filled her eyes. She wiped them with her sleeve.

“She used to be overweight. We spent everything to help her get treatment. But she never saw how much we cared. She started hanging out with the wrong people, stopped going to school, and worked random jobs. Every day, my husband and I searched for her and begged her to come home. But she refused. She even said hurtful things to us. Right before the college entrance exams, she finally came back. We paid for tutors and were so happy when she got into college.”

Her voice shook more as she went on. “After she graduated, I thought she’d show some mercy to us. But once she left for school, she totally ignored us. She never came home again. We didn’t expect anything from her. We just wanted to know she was doing okay.”

Tears ran down her face as she added, “If my husband hadn’t gotten sick... if we hadn’t used all our money on her... if we weren’t drowning in debts because of her... we wouldn’t have asked her for help.”

“What’s your husband sick with?” the host asked gently.

Still crying, Reese’s aunt reached into her pocket and pulled out a folded paper. She handed it to him with shaky hands.

The host read it carefully, then turned it toward the camera. The words “Early Stage Lung Cancer” stood out clearly.

Just then, Reese’s uncle-in-law began coughing hard and his face turned red.

The host looked back at them. “Does Reese know he’s sick?”

Tears fell down Reese’s aunt’s cheeks as she spoke. “Of course, she knows. But she says it’s hopeless. She thinks he’s going to die anyway, so there’s no point spending money. She said the treatment costs too much and refused to help us.”

Her words hit hard. The crowd in the room reacted with shock and anger. Online, people exploded with rage.

“Unbelievable! Early-stage cancer can be treated. How could she say that? That’s heartless.”

“I can’t believe she’s like this. I used to like her. I was so wrong.”

“They raised her, gave her everything. And now she turns her back on them? She’s ungrateful and cold.”

“She acts all sweet, but she’s just a dropout who wasted her life. It’s sickening.”

“People like her shouldn’t be in the spotlight. She needs to be boycotted!”

More and more comments like these filled the internet. The backlash was growing fast.

At the press conference, reporters were buzzing with excitement. They couldn’t wait to see how Bianca would respond to this sudden storm.

Watching the livestream, Natalie smiled to herself.

She wondered if Bianca now realized the trap she had set. Natalie hadn’t just used Reese’s relatives—she had also paid off people from her past. She was sure Bianca had no way out.

Still, Natalie hoped Bianca wouldn’t back down too quickly. The real show was just getting started.

After speaking with Reese’s aunt and uncle-in-law, the host interviewed other nearby relatives. Their stories matched what the aunt had said, which only made the public angrier.

Then the host looked at the camera and said, “Next, we’ll hear from Reese’s high school head teacher.”

A woman in her forties appeared on screen. Her hair had streaks of gray, and her eyes looked dull and distant.

“Hello,” the host began. “Did Reese drop out of school during high school?”

The teacher didn’t say anything at first. She gave a small nod.

“Do you know why she dropped out?”

She blinked slowly, then looked straight into the camera. Her voice was small. “I know a few reasons… but not everything.”

“Was Reese, like her aunt said, influenced by bad company and gave up on school because of it?” the host asked.

The head teacher’s lips trembled. It looked like she wanted to speak but stopped herself. She glanced down, paused for a moment, then slowly nodded.

In a hotel room, Reese was watching the livestream. She jumped to her feet and her eyes widened in shock. The woman on screen was her teacher she had trusted deeply but now her face looked cold and unfamiliar.

“Why? Why is she saying that? She was the teacher I admired the most!” Reese cried, her voice full of pain.

Diana rushed to her side, holding her by the shoulders to calm her down. Then, she turned and looked at Bianca.

“Bianc, what’s happening?” Diana asked, clearly shaken.

Sitting in her chair, Bianca remained composed as her eyes fixed on her phone. When she heard Diana’s voice, she turned it off, slipped it into her pocket, and stood up with quiet confidence.

Looking at the two shaken faces in front of her, she gave a slight, sly smile. “If you want to break someone, you start with their mind. Let’s go. The press conference is about to begin.”
