Chapter 474: I Really Want To Meet You
Chapter 474: I Really Want To Meet You
Bianca told herself that even if Dave chose someone else one day, she would still treasure this time with him.
Dave noticed she hadn’t replied for a while. He let out a soft sigh.
He wondered if she had started to doubt him—maybe she thought his words were just a trick. But deep down, he had meant every word.
With a quiet breath, Dave set his phone aside and turned his attention back to the pile of documents on his desk.
Then, another message appeared on the screen.
It was from Bianca.
Her words were simple. “I really want to meet you.”
Dave’s eyes lit up with surprise. He looked at his phone again and again. Once he was sure it was really from Bianca, excitement rushed through him.
He quickly typed, “Let’s meet up. Where are you now?”
Bianca answered right away. “I’ll meet you at Waterfront Apartments.”
After reading her reply, Dave stood up fast, grabbed his coat, and left the office without delay.
Worried she might hesitate to go in once she got there, he rushed to Waterfront Apartments.
When the elevator doors opened, he saw a beautiful figure standing there.
“Bianc,” Dave called out softly.
Bianca turned and saw him—the tall, handsome man she knew. But he looked tired.
Her heart ached. She ran straight into his arms.
Dave held her tightly, like she was something he had lost and finally found again.
With her face against his chest, Bianca felt comfort in the steady beat of his heart.
“I’ve missed you so much, Dave,” she whispered, resting her head on him.
Dave slowly pulled back and held her by the shoulders. He looked into her eyes. “What did you just call me?”
Bianca bit her lower lip and said softly, “Dave.”
She had stopped calling him "Mr. Evans"—and gone back to calling him by name.
Dave felt his heart melt with joy. He gently lifted Bianca by the waist, his face full of happiness.
“What are you doing? Someone might see us!” Bianca said, startled.
Dave gave a playful grin. “Let’s go home.”
He opened the door and led her inside. After turning on the lights, he brought her to the sofa.
He knelt down, took off her shoes, and put on her slippers. Then he rested his head against her legs and looked up at her.
“What’s with that look?” Bianca asked, blushing under his stare.
Dave said softly, “I’m afraid this might be a dream. That when I wake up, you won’t be here.”
Bianca’s heart softened. She smiled sweetly, held his face in her hands, and gently kissed him.
“Does it still feel like a dream?” she whispered.
Dave looked into her eyes, full of love. “Do you know what this means for us?” he asked gently.
Bianca’s face showed confusion as Dave stood and leaned over her, gently pressing her back against the sofa. His warm breath brushed her ear, sending a wave of chills down her spine.
“I can’t resist you,” he whispered.
Bianca blushed and rested her head on his chest, her eyes twinkling with mischief. “You haven’t changed at all,” she teased.
“Oh?” Dave raised a brow. “How so?”
Bianca pouted playfully, then smiled. After staring into his eyes for a moment, she whispered, “Still as lustful as ever.”
Surprise flashed in Dave’s eyes, then softened into deep emotion. He gently brushed her hair back and gave her a warm smile. “Everything I feel is for you.”
Moved by his words, Bianca leaned in and kissed him before he could say more.
Dave kissed her back, full of passion, and one hand cradled her head as they sat close on the sofa.
After a moment, he pulled away and lifted her into his arms, carrying her to the bedroom.
For hours, the room was filled with passionate moans from them.
Feeling content, Dave held Bianca close as they rested on the bed.
Bianca glanced at the bedside lamp and noticed it had been on since she arrived.
Curious, she looked up and asked, “How long has the lamp been on?”
Dave answered, “It’s been on the whole time.”
“All this time? Did you move back here recently?” Bianca asked, surprised.
“Nope.”
“Then why did you leave it on?”
Dave glanced at her and gave a small smile. “I didn’t want you to be scared of the dark if you ever came back.”
His words hit her heart. Tears quietly filled Bianca’s eyes.
Bianca turned her face away, trying to hide her embarrassment from Dave.
Noticing her furrowed brow, Dave asked gently, “Did I say something wrong?”
Bianca wiped the tears from her eyes. When she looked at Dave, she laughed.
“You’re silly. I haven’t been afraid of the dark in a long time.”
Ever since Dave lit the lanterns for her, she stopped being scared. He was the one who made her feel safe again.
Dave held her closer. His voice was rough. “Why did you come today? Are you ready to forgive me for lying? Or are you just here on a whim?”
Bianca hugged him tighter. “I’m not forgiving you that easily. You have to try harder and say sorry first. Maybe then I’ll think about it.”
Dave reached out and pinched her cheek. “Then I’ll just try harder in bed. How about that?”
“Naughty!” Bianca gave his chest a light tap.
For the first time in a while, Dave felt sure the old Bianca was back.
“I’ve been thinking,” Bianca said softly, resting her head on his shoulder and looking up. “You lied, but you said sorry. Holding on to the past only makes things worse. I’m not ready to forgive you, but I want us to have a chance to fix things. As for what’s ahead, I don’t want to stress about it. Let’s just focus on now. Even if you marry someone else someday, at least I’ll know I did my part.”
Her voice faded as she finished speaking.
Dave held her tightly in his arms, not wanting to let go.
Pressed against his chest, Bianca started to cry. Holding on to him, she whispered, “Please don’t make me your mistress. When you marry someone else, I’ll leave. Can you promise to forget me by then? We should go our separate ways.”
“I’m sorry, but I can’t do that,” Dave said softly above her head. “I can’t forget you. That’s why I won’t marry anyone else.”
