Accidentally Slept With The Ruthless Billionaire

Chapter 436: I’m Telling The Truth

Chapter 436: I’m Telling The Truth

Diana narrowed her eyes, noticing Bianca’s reluctance to confront Dave. If Bianca didn’t act, then she would do it for her.

An idea lit up in Diana’s mind. With a sly smile, she said, "Mr. Evans, considering your status, simple punishments feel too dull. How about this instead? Call your fiancée and tell her you despise her and have no intention of marrying her!"

She shot Bianca a playful wink. After everything Dave had done to her best friend, she wasn’t about to let him or his fiancée off easily.

"Is that all?" Dave chuckled softly. Quickly, he pulled out his phone.

Diana froze, completely stunned.

Did he really just agree?

She instinctively glanced at Bianca, but Bianca remained still, her expression unreadable, eyes fixed ahead, ignoring Diana’s shocked look.

Meanwhile, at Evans Villa

Skylar carefully tended to the flowers and her hands moved carefully.

Whenever Lucas was expected, she made sure everything was perfect, keeping herself busy with every little detail.

Suddenly, her phone rang, shattering the silence.

She quickly put down the watering can and grabbed her phone. Her heart pounded heavily when she saw Dave’s name on the screen. Excitement rushed through her.

She answered eagerly. "Hey, Dave! How can I help you at this hour?”

In the club room, Dave held his phone and spoke calmly. "I'm calling you late, not because it's important, but because I just felt like saying something."

Skylar's heart skipped a beat. "Dave, what do you want to say?"

She braced herself, but his answer shattered her.

"Skylar, I can't stand you, and I will never marry you. Let go of that idea."

Without another word, Dave hung up.

Skylar stood frozen, stunned. She had hoped for kindness, never expecting him to call just to hurt her.

But why would he do this?

Was it because of Bianca?

It had to be. Bianca must have influenced him to call her and hurt her on purpose.

Tears welled in Skylar’s eyes, a mix of pain and anger. She realized Lucas no longer cared about her connection to Dave. Talking about it around Lucas only made her feel like a failure as if she could never win Dave’s heart.

Skylar ran to a quiet corner on the balcony and called Reece.

The moment he picked up, she broke into tears.

Reece, fresh out of the shower, heard Skylar's uncontrollable sobs.

At first, he couldn't understand what she was saying.

Worried, he asked, "Skylar, what happened? Who hurt you?"

Through her tears, she struggled to speak. "It's Bianca... She made Dave call me just to humiliate me. You wouldn’t believe how cruel his words were! Reece, I’ve never had a problem with her, but she’s the one keeping me and Dave apart, stopping our marriage. Why is she doing this to me? Why?”

Reece’s anger grew deeper as he listened to Skylar's words.

Bianca kept causing trouble for Skylar, using her charm to manipulate Dave and interfere with Skylar’s love life. She acted kind on the surface, but underneath, she was ruthless.

"Skylar, stop crying. I’ll make sure she regrets this!"

"Really?" Skylar’s voice trembled.

"I’ll make sure she loses this lawsuit so badly that she won’t even be able to run her business anymore! She’ll have no choice but to beg for your forgiveness!" Reece declared, driven by his feelings for her.

"Reece, thank you. I’ve always known you were the best person in my life. I’ll find a way to repay you.”

"Don't mention it, Skylar. I promised to take care of you."

After ending the call, Skylar wiped her tears. A sly smile formed on her lips, and a cold glint appeared in her eyes.

"Bianca, I’ll ruin your reputation and make sure you can never face Dave again. And I have all the time in the world to do it," she muttered with a sneer.

Meanwhile, after hanging up, Dave turned to Diana and Bianca with a blank expression.

Diana frowned, casting a questioning glance at Bianca as if to ask, Did Dave really say that so bluntly? Isn't he afraid his fiancée will lose control? Does he not care about her feelings at all?

It didn’t seem like he cherished his fiancée. Instead, he treated her as if she were the person he despised the most.

Diana couldn't help but wonder—did Dave love no one? Was he simply a master at playing with hearts?

Bianca stared at Dave’s sharp features, confused by his words. How could he speak so harshly to Skylar without considering her emotions?

But then, he was the CEO of Phoenix Alliance Group, a man above many others.

Even though he was engaged to Skylar, did he ever truly consider her feelings?

Bianca lowered her eyes and her smile was filled with mockery.

Wealthy men were known for their cold hearts. That was why she had never imagined marrying into wealth.

She had once seen Dave as the perfect husband. But now, he felt distant and unreadable. She wondered if he even had a heart at all.

“Well, this game isn’t very entertaining. We’re all exhausted. How about a trip to the spa to relax?” Brandon suggested.

No one could predict how the game would end.

“Okay. I’m pretty tired too…” Diana sighed, massaging her shoulders before grabbing Bianca’s arm. “Come on, Bianc.”

“Okay.” Bianca stood up and followed her.

Dave watched Bianca leave but said nothing.

Meanwhile, Michael dragged Sophia out of the private room and into an empty one. He shoved her inside and locked the door.

Sophia stumbled but quickly regained her balance.

Turning around, she faced Michael. His expression was intense.

"Michael, what is this about?" She wasn’t afraid of him. She looked directly into his eyes and demanded, "Who are you to me? Why are you so angry?”

Michael struggled to contain his emotions. He gently placed his hands on Sophia’s shoulders and said, “Sophia, I’ve told you—I want to marry you.”

Sophia stared at him, shocked.

“Do you need a moment to think? Or have you completely lost your mind?”

“I’m telling the truth!” Michael’s voice rose, unable to hold back.

Lately, he had been overseas, pushing himself to complete international projects. To move things faster, he barely slept more than five hours a night. Every time exhaustion hit, thoughts of Sophia kept him going.

Thinking about everything he owed her, Sophia was the reason he kept going.

Michael’s promise to marry her wasn’t a joke. He wanted to prove that he was no longer the careless playboy from a wealthy family. He had become a man she could rely on.

He was no longer the timid son who lived under his mother’s control.

Now, he had the courage to fight against his mother, either winning her approval or using his influence to make his mom accept Sophia.

He was ready to face any struggle with Sophia. But the thought of Sophia kissing someone else behind his back annoyed him.
