Chapter 416: Do You Want To Be With Bianca?
Chapter 416: Do You Want To Be With Bianca?
This powerful story not only touched his fans but also earned Blake respect from the public.
Anticipation built as people wondered how he would perform in the upcoming show.
The press conference took over several trending searches, creating a buzz that even Bianca hadn’t expected.
For Emerald Artists Agency, this was both a great opportunity and a growing crisis.
The good part was the boost in popularity and the attention they were getting.
As long as Blake and Reese kept performing well, their popularity would stay strong, even if they didn’t win the championship.
However, the increased visibility also brought a lot of risks.
The higher you rise, the more you’re noticed, and rival companies are surely watching, ready to take advantage of any mistake.
Bianca called Reese to Blake’s hospital room. There, she carefully explained the benefits and risks to them.
Even Blake hadn’t expected his car accident to cause so much attention, and the pressure made him more anxious.
Since the car accident, Blake’s confidence had been slowly fading.
Noticing his discomfort, Bianca gave him a reassuring smile. “Blake, don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Your skills are already better than those of your competitors. Just perform well; no matter what happens, I’ll always be proud of you.”
Looking at him, Reese gently added, “Don’t worry, Blake. Your voice is your greatest strength. Everything will be fine.”
Encouraged by their words, Blake felt slightly relieved.
“By the way, Reese, has Leonel told you the exact date for the launch of the obesity medication?” Bianca asked, as a thought crossed her mind.
Reese shook her head and replied, “Not yet.”
Bianca frowned slightly. “Didn’t he say it would be around this time?”
“Maybe there’s been a delay,” Reese suggested.
Bianca nodded, thinking about it, and decided to let it go for now.
After giving her advice, Bianca had to leave, feeling overwhelmed by the mountain of work waiting for her.
Though Blake hated to see her go, he knew it was an important time for her. “Bianc, if you’re busy, there’s no need for daily visits. I’ll be focused on my practice and don’t want to be interrupted.”
“Okay. Call me if you need anything,” Bianca replied, visibly relieved. “By the way, when is your caregiver coming back?”
Paige had arranged a caregiver for Blake.
Just earlier, the caregiver had stepped out when Bianca and Reese arrived.
“He should be back soon.” Seeing Bianca’s concern, Blake reassured her, “Don’t worry about me. I can manage on my own.”
“Really?”
Noticing Bianca’s anxiety, Reese quickly offered. “Bianca, go ahead and take care of your work. I have the afternoon free, so I’ll stay with Blake until the caregiver returns.”
Bianca felt relieved after hearing Reese’s suggestion. She smiled at her, “Okay, thank you.”
After Bianca left, Reese sat on Blake’s bed.
It had been a long time since they were alone together, and an awkward silence filled the room.
Reese had spent the past few days carefully adjusting her feelings. She knew how deeply Blake cared for Bianca and realized that a future with him was a dream she could never have. She was trying to manage her expectations and maintain her distance.
But seeing Blake again, with his sad eyes, made her heart ache deeply.
Why was fate so cruel? Once the golden boy, Blake had fallen from his high place, changing from a bright, kind-hearted young man to someone overly cautious and sensitive.
Tears filled Reese’s eyes, but she quickly turned away. She got up and poured him a glass of water, not wanting Blake to see her pain.
She reminded herself that she wanted to help him regain his dreams and see him become the vibrant young man he used to be.
“Blake,” Reese called softly as she opened the lid of a kettle.
“What is it?” Blake looked up to look into her eyes.
Reese’s voice was soft, like a gentle breeze, as it reached his ears.
“Do you want to be with Bianca?”
Blake was surprised by Reese’s sudden question. He didn’t know how to respond.
“Why are you asking about this now?”
Reese gave him a glass of water, her eyes dark as she said, “I heard Bianca and her boyfriend broke up.”
Blake’s hand froze as he reached for the glass.
Did Bianca really end things with him?
He felt a rush of emotions but kept his face calm. “Who told you that?”
“It’s the talk of the office. Diana’s assistant overheard Diana scolding Bianca’s boyfriend, calling him a jerk. Someone even saw Bianca crying alone at work, and she hasn’t seemed like herself lately.” Reese said casually, but her eyes were fixed on Blake, watching his every reaction.
Blake took a careful sip of water, trying to hide his excitement, but a small smile appeared on his face. “Really? She hasn’t said anything to me. Maybe you’re overthinking it?”
“And what if it’s true?” Reese looked at him firmly. “Even if Bianca seems okay, she’s probably hurting and could use some comfort. This could be your chance to win her over.”
Blake set the glass down and met her gaze. “Why bring this up now?”
“I just want to help you,” Reese said, hesitating for a moment.
Then, her face lit up with a wide smile. “I just want the person I care about to be happy. That’s all.”
Blake’s heart skipped a beat, caught off guard by Reese’s bluntness.
He was speechless for a moment.
Reese smiled softly, and she gave him a deep stare. “Take the chance, Blake. If you ever need help, just ask me,” she said in a gentle tone.
Blake paused briefly, taking a moment to gather his thoughts. “I see... let me think about it.”

Later that night, in a private room at a club.
Reece stormed in, only to find Skylar had emptied the entire table of beers, still drinking them one after another.
It was the first time Reece had seen her drink so recklessly.
He rushed over, snatched the beer can from her hand, and slammed it down on the table. “Stop it! Why are you drinking like this?”
Skylar looked up at him, her eyes filled with tears blurring her vision. She even looked vulnerable and lost.
She tried to stand but wobbled, and with a sob, she whispered, “Reece, you’re here at last…”
Her words faded as she collapsed, feeling dizzy. Reece quickly caught her and held her arms gently.
