The Mafia's Pet

Chapter 66

Chapter 66

Diego

I glare at Denis with disdain as I slowly stir my coffee with his detached finger.

Sanitized, of course.

With Brian's advanced technology, we were able to locate the van using the street cameras. We suspect it was either two or three men who abducted Vanessa but were only able to obtain clear footage of the driver's face. It took longer than I wanted it to, but we tracked the motherfucker down, and now at 2am, we're in his bedroom. He's securely tied to a chair while his two children are occupied in another room with Leo.

I only brought Leo, Danny, and Leroy for this. The fewer men, the better since the house is located in the suburbs with other houses surrounding it.

When I demanded his wife to bring me a cup of coffee, she begged me to spare her husband, but he didn't show my wife any mercy. Why the fuck should I? After I sawed his fingers off right in front of her, her hysterical sobbing escalated into screams.

Danny taped her mouth closed, so I wouldn't kill her. It was a good call because I've barely slept in four fucking days, and I already have what feels like a permanent migraine.

"Denis Martinez, are you ready to talk now?" I ask, taking a sip of the bitter liquid. Seated in a chair, I cross my legs, musingly stroking my chin.

Next, should I saw off his hands or his dick?

Fury continues to obliterate my insides, consuming every part of my being. Two days ago, I watched Nathan force himself on my wife while she was naked and bleeding. Somehow, even throughout everything she had endured, she was still my feisty mama and fought back. He deserved so much more than her chomping down on his dick, but that's okay.

I'll be the one to deliver the final blow.

If she thinks she won't be able to survive without me, imagine how I feel right now. I brought her into my world, and she's become the very air that I breathe, the pulse in my veins, the reason my heart beats. If she truly believes I'm going to leave her there to suffer and die, she's out of her goddamn mind.

I'll never let her go.

Denis shakes his head, snot and tears dripping down his face. His hand, wrapped in a towel to stem the bleeding, serves as a reminder to him that he won't fucking die until I allow it.

"Denny, just tell them. Please!" the wife pleads against the tape.

"Your wife is a smart woman. I would start talking if you value her and your children's lives," I say callously. "I have zero fucks to give at the moment. One snap of my finger, and my Underboss will shoot them in their tiny heads. At least they will have a quick death, unlike yours. Of course, unless you want to tell me where my wife is."

He lifts his head, fire flashing in his eyes. "Los Hijos de la Venganza (The Sons of Revenge) will come for you, motherfucker," he snarls, his accent thicker than mine.

Fine. If he wants to play that game.

"Strip her," I command Leroy, my voice dripping with calm malice. With Danny holding her steady, Leroy obeys, tearing at the woman's clothes until she stands bare before us.

Approaching her, I rip the tape off her mouth, gently stroking her blonde hair as she sobs louder. Terror fills her eyes as she pleads, "Please don't do this. My kids and I had nothing to do with this," her trembling lips barely managing to whisper the words.

As I gaze at her, all I can see is my wife, tears streaming down her face as she begs for Celeste and Nathan to stop hurting her...to stop violating her, and the rage within me overflows.

I reach out and wrap my hands around her neck, watching her eyes bulge from their sockets. I turn us to face Denis, ensuring he sees the pain I inflict on his wife, mirroring the torment he indirectly brought upon mine.

"You know," I begin, my voice laced with bitter irony. "My wife is currently being assaulted and tortured while she's naked and defenseless, at the hands of my stepmother and half-brother." A humorless laugh escapes me. "And you're the one who brought her there. You ripped her away from me. So, tell me, why should I show your wife any mercy while mine continues to suffer at this very moment?"

"I won't betray them," he scoffs.

"Oh, you won't?" Raising an eyebrow, I retrieve my knife and press it against his wife's throat. She squeezes her eyes shut, a fresh set of tears streaking down her cheeks.
