Destined by One Night: The CEO's Pursuit

Chapter 251

Chapter 251

He hit the tile with his hand so hard just now that he scratched the skin.

He glanced at Marilyn and turned to walk into the office.

"Mr. Lowe..." Seeing that Malcolm was about to leave, Margie subconsciously called out.

But Malcolm only left her a cold back.

Marilyn wanted to say no. Seeing Malcolm like this, she had no idea how to face him.

Malcolm had already entered the office. Under Sergio's gaze, Marilyn slowly walked in.

Margie didn't dare to stop Marilyn this time, since she was afraid of offending Marilyn due to her ignorance.

Sergio looked at Margie and her family. He said coldly, "Time for you to leave. The elevator is on the other side!"

After that, Sergio gracefully turned around and got back to his work.

Margie stomped her foot angrily, and the family of three left unwillingly.

Marilyn entered the office and saw Malcolm sitting on the sofa with his head slightly raised. His cold and stern outline made Marilyn realize that he was still angry.

Marilyn glanced at his bleeding palm again.

She frowned slightly and quickly walked in the direction that Sergio had mentioned. She soon found the first-aid kit in the cabinet per Sergio's instruction.

She carried the first-aid kit over and looked at the blood on the ground. She quickly opened the kit and treated Malcolm's wound.

Marilyn then saw that there was a long cut on the back of his hand. Blood was still flowing out ceaselessly.

Marilyn's heart suddenly tightened. She hurriedly helped him stop the bleeding and treat his wound!

Feeling a sharp pain in his hand, Malcolm lowered his head slightly and looked at Marilyn, who was seriously treating his wound.

He saw how obedient and serious she was. Soon, the rage in Malcolm's heart vanished a lot, and the coldness in his eyes finally faded.

He smiled and quietly looked at her.

Marilyn lowered her head to treat Malcolm's wound. Suddenly, she felt a dangerous aura coming from above her head. His fiery gaze made her lower her head a bit more. She knew that Malcolm was looking at her.

His eyes were so fiery that she felt like she had been burnt. She was even a bit uncomfortable.

She was afraid of an awkward situation like this.

She instantly tensed up, and she added a bit of strength to her hands.

Malcolm instantly frowned, his hand unconsciously shrinking.

Marilyn regained her senses at once, but she did not dare to look up at Malcolm.

Yet her hands became much gentler, and she quickly wiped off the blood on his wound. Then, she applied medicine to his hand and wrapped his wound with clean gauze.

Only then did she look up at him, and unexpectedly, she met his dark and gentle eyes. Marilyn couldn't help but blurt out, "Malcolm, what are you, stupid? Margie was talking about me. How come you became the angry one? You've got a deep cut. Go to the hospital to deal with it later. I don't want to see a scar on your hand."

Malcolm smiled, leaned over, and quickly held her in his arms.

Marilyn opened her eyes wide, and her mind went blank.

The heat from his palms was so obvious, and it spread to her skin. The scalding heat made her whole body suddenly tense up!

Malcolm closed his eyes slightly, enjoying the moment which was so rare.

He said in his heart, "You little fool. I got stupid because of you!"

Marilyn swallowed nervously and bit her lower lip hard to wake herself up. She then stammered, "Malcolm, you..."

"Lynn, I'm sorry!" Malcolm suddenly interrupted her and apologized.

Hearing his apology, Marilyn suddenly felt somewhat baffled!

She plucked up her courage to look up at Malcolm. The two of them were very close right now. As long as Malcolm lowered his head slightly, he could kiss her soft lips.

Marilyn suddenly realized such a fact. She wanted to lower her head quickly, but Malcolm beat her to it. She didn't stand a chance to lower her head. Instead, she was forced to look up at him and meet his eyes.

Malcolm couldn't help but chuckle when he saw she was putting on a show of calmness, though she was so frightened.

"Lynn, you are so cute!" he blurted out involuntarily.

His gentle and loving words came out of the blue, which shocked Marilyn instantly.

The words that she had been holding back almost came out.

The corners of Marilyn's lips trembled. "Malcolm, this is too far. Let ... let go of me."

She was here to treat his wounds, not to be taken advantage of.

"Lynn..."

Before Malcolm could finish his words, the office door was suddenly pushed open.

"What are you doing?" The angry roar made Malcolm and Marilyn know who it was.

Marilyn closed her eyes slightly. How did Debbie manage to bump into such a scene every time?

Malcolm was furious, but he did not let go of Marilyn. Instead, he looked sideways at Debbie's gloomy face. Velma was behind Debbie.

"Mrs. Remington, why are you here?" Malcolm secretly blamed Sergio for his incompetency. Couldn't Sergio even guard the door?

Yet Malcolm wronged Sergio since Sergio went to the bathroom and hadn't come back yet.

No one usually dared to go up to the twenty-fifth floor. Besides, Sergio had not expected Debbie to be here at this hour.

Debbie looked at Marilyn gloomily.

Marilyn struggled to get up from Malcolm's arms. She had just steadied herself when Debbie, who was rushing over, slapped her in the face.

Debbie acted so quickly that neither Marilyn nor Malcolm had time to react.

Marilyn felt dizzy instantly.

For some reason, she had an urge to cry.

Marilyn blinked, and her eyes were watery. In her vision, Debbie's elegant and graceful appearance gradually became blurred.

"Lynn... Lynn..." Malcolm quickly stood up from the sofa and shielded Marilyn behind him. Marilyn lowered her head, her face full of sadness.

Malcolm looked at Debbie coldly. "Mrs. Remington, who said you could be here? Get out!" Malcolm pointed angrily in the direction of the office door. He was so angry that his whole body trembled uncontrollably.

Debbie was stunned and looked at the furious Malcolm in a daze. Who gave him the courage to talk to her like this?

Hearing Malcolm's words, Velma stepped forward to defend Debbie. Now that Velma was not going to marry Malcolm, she didn't have to play soft in front of Malcolm anymore.

Right now, for Velma, protecting Debbie was the same as protecting her status!

Velma glared at Malcolm. "Mr. Lowe, please show some respect to my mother!"

Malcolm's cold gaze fell on Velma's face, and his eyes were full of disgust. He said word by word, "Piss off! You make me sick!"

He was disgusted by what Velma did.

Velma was nothing but malicious. If it weren't for Velma, he would have already made Marilyn and Debbie reunite.
