Destined by One Night: The CEO's Pursuit

Chapter 117

Chapter 117

Malcolm suddenly laughed. "Dominic, you just said that you didn't know where your father was. So your mother is single now. How is she a married woman?"

The corners of Dominic's mouth twitched. He had forgotten about that.

"Anyway, I still need more consideration about it." As soon as Dominic finished speaking, he walked forward.

As for their father...

Well...

God would know where he was.

Malcolm felt helpless when he looked at the little boy in front of him. He didn't expect that Dominic would change his mind.

Malcolm followed Dominic.

Marilyn followed Velma into an alley and found that it was the back door of the Warren's.

She took out the phone and was about to call Denise.

But suddenly she saw Denise coming out from the corner and standing in front of Velma. She quickly stopped and looked at them.

Velma crossed her arms around her chest and looked at Denise overwhelmingly.

Marilyn started videotaping this. Velma had come with ill intentions, so Marilyn wanted to record it as evidence!

"Who are you?" Denise looked at Velma. She did not know Velma.

"You don't have to know that. I am just warning you to stay away from my brother Otherwise, I'll make you sorry for that!"

"Your brother?" Denise frowned slightly. Her heart suddenly ached and she sneered, "Are you Jacob's sister?"

"Yes. If you continue to disturb him, our family won't let you go. He asked me to tell you this." Velma became increasingly contemptuous when she saw Denise's cheap clothes.

Her words saddened Denise. She had not called Jacob again recently, as she had made up her mind to stop seeing him.

"Don't worry. We've already cut off our ties. It won't affect the reputation of your family. You can leave now."

Denise looked sad and was about to turn around when Velma suddenly slapped her in the face.

Marilyn suddenly widened her eyes and wanted to rush over, but Malcolm stopped her.

Marilyn frowned and looked at him in confusion. Why was he here?

"Why are you stopping me?"

Malcolm looked at her and said, "Lynn, you will make it even worse if you go."

She sneered and said, "Mr. Lowe, you really have a good fiancée!"

When Malcolm heard this, a look of disgust flashed across his deep eyes. "Who told you that she is my fiancée?"

"She told me that she was the wife of our future president on the first day I went to work. Isn't she your fiancée?" Marilyn rolled her eyes at him. Didn't she ask them to buy drinks?

Why did they follow her?

"But I didn't say it's true." Malcolm immediately felt that he was wronged.

"Why did you slap me? I told you that I didn't see your bother anymore. You're going too far." As Denise's angry voice came, Malcolm and Marilyn looked over again.

Dominic stood behind them with his hands folded. He never liked to join in the fun, nor did he like to meddle in other people's business.

"If I don't slap you, will you be able to learn your lesson? You better remember this. You're not the girl who could match our family. It's best if you give up completely. If you still dare to see Arturo, I won't let you go.

"This is my first warning. But if I know that you call Arturo again and make my parents sad, I'm sure that you won't find a job here." Velma had a vicious smile on her face and her tone was harsh.

Marilyn looked at Velma. She was completely different from the seemingly gentle girl that Marilyn had met for the first time.

What a difference!

"I told you that I wouldn't call Arturo anymore. You can leave. I don't want to see anyone from your family." After Denise finished speaking, she turned around and left.

But Velma's voice sounded behind her again. "Wait!"

Denise stopped and turned to look at Velma, her eyes red as she was trying to hold back her tears.

She could face things without much fluctuation now that things had become like this. She wouldn't shed tears for anyone, including Jacob, her beloved man.

"What else do you want?" she snapped.

Velma took out 1,600 dollars from her limited-edition bag and waved her hand with a smile.

"This is for you. Just treat it as a break-up fee!"

That mocking smile seemed to tell Denise that it was the price of their love.

Denise felt humiliated and heartbroken when seeing the cash.

But she still told herself that she was now a mother. She must protect her baby.

She sneered and said, "Alright, I will take your kindness. But things from your family are dirty. So I won't take the money.

"Now I'll give it to you. You can buy some snacks! But remember to get something light. Your mouth smells so bad after you eat expensive meats."

With that, Denise gave her a confident smile before turning around. She straightened her back and left with composure.

"Wow!" Marilyn stood in the same place and looked at Denise's confident back, making a "victory" gesture.

"Denise, well done!" As long as she learned to fight back, no one else could hurt her.

Velma stood there in a daze, angry. Looking at Denise's confident back, she was at a loss, and angrier.

She was here to humiliate Denise, but now she was the one being humiliated.

Velma stood where she was and sneered. She would definitely humiliate Denise even more in the future.

"Denise, wait and see." With that, she turned and left.

Marilyn smiled at Velma who looked helpless and angry. She looked up and suddenly met Malcolm's smiling eyes. There was a faint smile in his deep eyes, which shone with brilliant light.

Unconsciously, he got a lot closer to her, and his imposing power had reached Marilyn's heart. Now Marilyn found herself flustered.

Her expression turned serious as she glanced at Malcolm. He still looked noble.

Malcolm watched her with a wider smile. Deep in his eyes were unfathomable emotions.

The smile at the corner of Marilyn's mouth gradually froze. She had forgotten that Malcolm was just beside her.

Thinking of her behavior just now, she was embarrassed.

Malcolm's beautiful lips curved slightly. This was Lynn's nature. When she was happy, she would jump up and down and put on an innocent smile.

"Mom, do you know that woman?" Dominic asked.

Marilyn looked up slightly and saw Velma walk towards them.

"Let's go, Dominic. We need to leave this place." She quickly turned around, pulled Malcolm and Dominic, and walked deeper into the alley.
