Destined by One Night: The CEO's Pursuit

Chapter 90

Chapter 90

Malcolm would do anything for Marilyn.

As Marilyn walked away, Sergio glanced at Michelle, warning her in a cold tone, "Ms. Hamilton, it's too late. Stop making a fool of yourself. The person who asked you to provoke Marilyn was to blame."

After Sergio finished speaking, he left in a relaxed manner.

He stared at the setting sun. Only by enduring all the pain would one truly understand the fickleness of human nature.

Malcolm had been hurt a lot. That was why he never allowed anyone to hurt the people he cared about. To protect his friend, he could break a contract worth tens of millions without hesitation.

Michelle stood there in a daze for a while. She crossed her arms and slowly squatted on the ground, looking lonely and helpless.

The people passing by glanced at her and left in a hurry.

She looked painful. This terrible thing caught her off guard. She had thought her father was joking. It was just a glass of red wine. How could Malcolm terminate all the contracts with them?

But this morning, when Michelle was still asleep, her father woke her up and slapped her in the face.

She did not know what had happened.

But then her sister came in and told her everything in tears. Michelle got to realize how serious it was.

Her family went bankrupt overnight. It made her feel great pain.

She destroyed her family.

Sandra had encouraged Michelle to humiliate Marilyn.

Sandra always spoke ill of people behind their backs, and Michelle was easily fooled by her.

Michelle had realized her mistake.

She sat on the side of the road, crying miserably.

The whole day, she and her father were busy looking for help. Unfortunately, no one was willing to help them.

Instead, they humiliated her. Only then did she understand the fickleness of human nature.

Marilyn went home and got down to business. Her son would come tomorrow. She was pressed for time.

After she got everything prepared, she made herself dinner. After that, she sat next to the computer with a cup of coffee, thinking about the topic that Natasha talked about.

She knew that Natasha was famous in the fashion world and had a high reputation.

If she could become Natasha's apprentice, she would be famous, too.

Marilyn was trying to know more about Natasha.

She had found a lot of information about Natasha online.

Natasha had never been married. When Natasha was young, she had been in a relationship. However, her boyfriend betrayed her. From then on, she had lived alone.

Beyond that, her life was quite perfect. She knew what she wanted to do, and she had been striving for her goal all her life.

Marilyn glanced over all kinds of information about Natasha. Finally, she found one of the posts on Natasha's Twitter.

There was a beautiful picture of Natasha with four lines of words written on it.

"People who live muddle-headed are easy to be happy, while people who live sober are easy to get worried."

These few words seemed to have described Natasha's entire life.

Marilyn gently stroked her chin and quietly stared at the words.

Sometimes, the things lost in life never really belonged to you.

Love wouldn't last.

The biggest regret of Natasha's life was her romantic relationship.

But why was the topic "Autumn"?

Marilyn continued to search for information about Natasha.

It was already ten o'clock in the evening, but she hadn't found anything special.

Marilyn leaned back on the back of the chair with a strawberry lollipop in her mouth. She sorted out the information she had gathered in her mind.

She decided to keep trying tomorrow.

Suddenly, her phone rang.

It was from her mother. Marilyn quickly picked it up. "Hello! Mom."

"Lynn, I've packed all of Dominic's things. He will come over tomorrow morning. I will get back after Laverne's art exhibition is over.

"Laverne's two paintings were chosen by the exhibition. When Laverne grows a little older, she can organize her own art exhibition. An art teacher takes a fancy to Laverne's work. Laverne has been very happy these past few days."

Marilyn was also very happy, "Mom, thank you. The house is great. It only needs a little renovation.

"We can move into our new home soon."

Marilyn was overjoyed when she thought of the house.

"Okay! I will send our things there little by little. Give me the address later.

"I've applied for plane service for Dominic. Don't worry."

"Okay, Mom." Marilyn smiled happily. With her mother and children around, she was always full of energy.

"Lynn, Dominic wants to speak to you."

"Alright!"

"Mom!" Dominic said on the other side of the line.

"Dominic," Marilyn smiled and replied, "I will pick you up at the airport on time tomorrow."

"Okay, Mom, good night," Dominic said affectionately.

"Good night, baby." Marilyn smiled.

She hung up the phone.

She turned off the computer happily and got ready to sleep.

The next day, Marilyn arrived at the company on time.

Malcolm and Julian hadn't come back.

Only Sergio was there.

Marilyn walked over and smiled, "Good morning, Sergio!"

"Good morning, Ms. Chapman." Sergio smiled at Marilyn.

Marilyn smiled back politely. "Sergio, I will finish my work this morning, and I want to ask for half a day off."

Malcolm was not here, so she had to tell Sergio.

"Alright!" Sergio readily agreed. Looking at Marilyn's smiling face, he smiled, too.

Malcolm and Julian would come back today.

"Thank you!" Marilyn smiled and nodded.

"Wow! I've never been here. Velma, this place is really luxurious!"

An excited voice came from behind Sergio and Marilyn.

They both turned around.
