Bonus Chapter 21
Bonus Chapter 21
Elizabeth
Princeton wanted us to meet up. He would kill Iris if I didn't agree, so here I was, in the middle of nowhere, waiting for my fiancé.
Thirty minutes later, an SUV pulled up in the middle of the road, and a tall man hopped out. He opened the door to the passenger seat quietly.
" Where's Princeton?" I asked. He stayed silent. Sighing in defeat, I got in the car, and he started to drive. We were headed somewhere I was unfamiliar with.
We arrived at a nice house on the outskirts of the city. Vampire guards were securing the perimeter. I opened the door urgently and followed the driver inside.
Once I reach the living area, my fiancé is sitting on a tall chair comfortably. It makes him look like some king. My eyes roamed around, looking for Iris.
" Where is she?" I demanded.
" Eliza, you're here," he beamed, taking a drag of his cigarette. He jumped down from his high seat and stood in front of me, smiling. He leaned in to kiss my cheek, but I moved my head away in disgust.
He sighed and snapped his fingers to signal a guard inside.
" Elizabeth!"
I turned my head, and my heart hurt to see Iris. It was obvious that she was crying. Her luscious curly hair was messy, too, and two guards held her. She was physically unharmed.
" Let her go," I ordered the guards. Of course, they didn't listen until the bastard signaled them to release her. Iris ran to me, hugging me tightly, her little body shaking in my arms.
" Sweetie, I'm sorry about this," I apologized. He only got her because he knew I wouldn't go with him. It was my fault. I brought trouble in the Chasia household.
" Elizabeth, I don't know how I ended up here. But this man says he's your fiancé, and he will only let me go when you go with him," she cried. I wiped her tears away and kissed her forehead.
" He's a crazy man. However, you will go home to your parents, okay? I will make sure of that," I promised her. I turned to Princeton, my eyes burning with rage.
" You have me, here, now, let her go, now," He looks like he's enjoying this.
“ I saw they kicked you to the curb," he grinned, " My brilliant plan worked."
" You lied, how could you do?"
His face suddenly darkened, " How could I? I asked you nicely to end whatever shit you had with that alpha, but did you listen? No!" he shouted, throwing the glass that was on the small table across the wall. Iris jumped into my arms.
" Now, I have to resort to such lowly schemes. It's beneath me," he grimaced, glaring at Iris.
" What do you even gain by forcing me to go home with you?" I asked, frustrated. This man was mad and obsessional.
" You, my dear," his mood is now pleasant.
“Please, take the little dog back to her room,” Princeton ordered, frowning.
" I want to go with her... Please," I said, my eyes begging. Princeton nodded in agreement, thank goodness.
I held Iris' hand and followed the guards upstairs to a room. It was a fully furnished bedroom with a huge TV across the bed. Iris wrapped her arms around me again, and I held her tenderly. I kissed her hair and pulled away from her.
" I'll get you out of here, okay?"
" Okay," she looked tired, so I asked her to get some sleep. However, I could tell she was still awake. She missed her family. They must be so worried about her.
I didn't sleep a wink last night. I was trying to look for a way out of here. But the security was tight. I would have to fight the guards if we were to escape.
I was lying in bed, cradling the little princess when suddenly the door barged open, and Princeton walked in. I sprang out of bed, and went to him, hoping Iris wouldn't wake up. Unfortunately, she did.
" What do you want?" I asked, glaring at me. He smiled charmingly at me.
" Don't be like that, sweetheart. You have been too mean to me," he pouted. His eyes traveled behind me, and he raised his hand to wave at Iris. Iris only growled at him, it was deep and powerful. Both Princeton and I were shocked.
" W- when are you letting her go?" I asked. His smile turned into a frown, and then he shrugged his shoulders.
" I don't know. Didn't think that far ahead, so unlike me, but she stays for now until you are tucked away safely in my manor,"
" No, Princeton, you got me, you have to take her back!"
" I'm not leaving you with this madman, Elizabeth," Iris growls. She came to my side.
" I'll be fine, princess," I told her, but she shook her head.
" Well," Princeton clapped. " Enough with the sentiments. None of you have a choice here. My princess, tonight we will dine together."
He said and turned on his heel, leaving the room.
I waited around, listening. I heard from the vampire guards that Princeton had left but would be back soon. It was time to take action. I looked back at Iris, she was reading a book quietly.
" Are you ready to leave?" I smiled at her. She closed the book and tilted her neck,
" How? There are so many guards!"
" Don't worry, I know a trick or two, you do as I say," I winked, and she smiled brightly, gosh, she was a pretty girl.
I slowly opened the bedroom door, with Iris following closely behind me.
As soon as I stepped outside the room, two vampires jumped at me. I pushed Iris back in and fought them. They were all on the floor, dead.
" Close your eyes, sweetie," I told her, holding her hand and leading her out to the living area where I found two more vampires. She hid behind a couch as I lunged at the two vampires. I grabbed one by the collar and threw him against the ceiling while I ripped the other one's heart. As the other charged at me, I grabbed his neck and separated his head from his neck. I dusted my hands and smiled. Iris looked up at me from the couch and smiled,
" You're a vampire," she said, and my heart stopped. However, all my fear evaporated when she smiled in approval, " Cool, I like it,"
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding on. We ran outside, but three more guards were following us. I couldn't outrun them, especially not with Iris here with me. I stopped fighting them.
" Get behind a tree," I whispered. She did as I told her to.
The three vampires surrounded me.
" Look, it doesn't have to get messy. Let me go, or I'll kill you," I gave them a choice. They sneered at me,
" It's three against one. You are outnumbered, Princess."
" And you're outmatched," I smirked, jumping at them and kicking them fast. I didn't know what Princeton was thinking about leaving low-level vampires as my guards. Or maybe he underestimated me. I was older than them, so faster and stronger. As I killed them, another group appeared. As I fought that new group, I heard someone say,
" Stop fighting, or I'll kill her," I stopped instantly. Iris stepped out from behind the tree she was hiding, a vampire was holding her roughly by the neck, his claw extended and ready to slit her throat. I felt anger surge in me,
" Let her go!" I growled. He smiled, showing me his fangs.
" Not so strong anymore, huh? Now-" Before he could finish, I felt a sting on my back, and I fell to my knees, he hit me with something.
" You fucking idiot, we are not supposed to hurt her!" the man holding Iris shouted.
" Now, we have to tell the boss," he was stressing. Iris's eyes flashed gold and used this chance to elbow him hard twice, using her inner Lycan's strength and kicking him repeatedly until he was on the ground. She had just fought a vampire! I was in awe. I quickly killed the one who hit me and went to the guy Iris was fighting to finish him off. She had already closed her eyes before I could tell her. I killed the vampire and threw his body away. I high-fived Iris,
" Good job!"
" Well, training with Uncle Marcus has come in handy," she said proudly.
" We should leave now before more come," I said. I doubted they would. I killed them all. I grabbed her hand and started to run, using the woods. I didn't want to use the roads because we might have met Princeton. He was way older and stronger than me.
We abruptly stopped in our tracks when we saw the duke casually leaning against a tree in a clearing, a few feet from us. He was smoking a cigar, and posing like he was in some magazine shot.
" I'm impressed, and disappointed, too," he said, coming towards us. I pushed Iris behind me.
" Why do you make it so difficult to love you?" he asked, genuinely seeming baffled.
" I don't want you to love me, and I don't want to love you, Princeton. Don't make this harder than it is," I barked, bracing myself for a fight.
Princeton raised his hand to hit me, but I dodged and hit his cheek. His head turned to the side at the impact.
" You seriously want to do this?" he asked. I glanced back at Iris. She was scared.
" No, but what choice do I have?"
" None," he gritted his teeth, his eyes glowing red.
" Actually, the vampire Princess will always have a choice," a smooth voice said. It's a voice I hadn't heard in quite a long time. It made Princeton so afraid, that he froze. Within a second, my dearest elder brother, Egon, appeared in front of Princeton. The duke was not bold anymore as he took a step away from the cold Prince. Princeton stopped and hit his back against my other brother, Zephir.
" Hello, sister,"
