I couldn't keep calm. I found my mate, and she was the most beautiful woman in the world. Her addictive vanilla scent still lingered in my mind.

' She's human,' my lycan reminded me. It was rare for lycans to be mated to humans. Usually, lycans, especially alphas, mate with someone who matches their strength.

' You don't plan to reject her because she's human, right?' Aire asked, defensive.

' No! I'd never. She is my mate, and I want her, whether she is human or not.' I wanted to be with her. The woman the moon mother made me. She was never wrong.

I paced around the private lecture room. Coswell was watching me like a bee that was about to sting him.

" You're making me dizzy. Can you sit down, please?" Alec said without looking at the laptop.

" That girl. In the outdoor garden," I started.

" The one you kept staring at like a creep?" Alec laughed.

" What's her name?"

" Beautiful, right?" Coswell sounded interested. I glared at him, jealousy burning inside me. My lycan growled at him in warning. I held him back.

" What's her name?" I asked coldly. Alec narrowed his gaze on me but brushed my reaction away. He pulled his mate and kissed her hard. I groaned and rolled my eyes.

" Her name is Elizabeth," Tonga answered.

" Elizabeth," I let her name caress my tongue. It was a beautiful name for an even more gorgeous girl.

" How come I have never seen her here?" I tried to sound calm with my questions. I didn't want my friends to know she was my mate until I spoke to her. It would be hard to accept me because of my heritage. We were worlds apart, yet two hearts meant to beat as one.

" I don't know. Maybe because we recently transferred here,"

" Why are you interested in her?" Coswell asked. They were all looking at me expectantly. I couldn't keep it to myself anymore, so I confessed,

" She's my mate."

They froze. Tonga was the first to exclaim in happiness. She hugged me. Alec pulled her back with a growl and wrapped his arms around her.

" Why didn't you do something in the garden?!"

" I don't know. I was so confused when I found out," I sighed. I should have done something. I should have pulled her to me and kissed her like my lycan was urging me to. However, like an idiot, I turned and walked away.

" She's human," I settled on that. Besides, I didn't know whether she was familiar with our world.

" If she is in this region, she surely is familiar with our world," Alec said, guessing my thoughts. Humans lived in this city, and we coexisted peacefully with them. They stayed out of our way, and so did we. I allowed a smile on my face. I found my mate. I was going to love her and never let her go.

" Let's go. I need to find her," I said. Alec and Tonga were smiling like fools while Coswell was frowning. He was feeling left out.

Harry's pov

These were the best three days of my life. I was looking at the pretty vampire princess, her eyes enchanting me. She was smiling at me. I leaned into her and kissed her. She placed her hand on my neck to deepen the kiss. I shoved my tongue in her mouth to explore her sweet mouth. I was getting turned on again.

I easily carried her on top of me, and she lowered herself onto my cock. She moved slowly in and out of me, pleasing me. I placed my hands on her waist, my fingers trailing on her pale skin. She fastened her movements until we both cum.

I was putting blood in a glass when I received a call from my daughter, Viana.

'' You seem happy,'' she commented. I was happy. I was back with my first love. Elizabeth and I ended our relationship when I found my mate. It was painful for both of us at the time. And when my beloved died, I was depressed for so long. I was only surviving for my little girl, but now that Elizabeth was with me, I wanted to live and not survive.

" I'm happy, but that's not why you called. Tell me what's happening to you."

Viana found her mate a few months ago, David Kofflin. He was a lycan alpha of a pack in another region. After being happy together, her vampire side is demanding blood, and she's craving his blood.

" Dad, I'm scared. David is beginning to suspect something is wrong," she cried in worry. Half-breeds didn't need as much blood as us, but they coveted blood sometimes. Usually, they crave one type of blood. For my daughter, it was her mate's blood.

" Tell him the truth about your heritage. He should know."

" I can't. He thinks I'm human. Dad, it would break his heart when he finds out I lied to him," she said.

After talking to my daughter, I took food for my lovely princess upstairs. She was out of bed, standing naked in front of the glass, watching the vast forest. I wrapped my arms around her body and kissed her neck.

She pulled herself from me, looking at me for a long time.

" What are you thinking about?" I asked, worried.

" Just how happy that we are back together. I don't want this to end," she whispered.

" It won't end," I promised her. I kissed her forehead, and she wrapped her arms around my waist.

" Drink,"

She took the glass of blood I gave her and drank it before asking, "What are you doing today?"

" I'm having company for a few hours. The alpha of the Golden Stone pack is coming over to discuss the traps we laid for the vampires at the blood banks," I told her. She nodded and finished her drink.

" Jenson is serious about this war, eh," she muttered, ruffled.

" Yes, but taking out his minions is one way of stopping it before it escalates," I told her.

We both took a long shower and then got dressed. Elizabeth is preparing for a presentation, so she would use my studies while the alpha and I would be in the lounge.
