His Mate, His Girlfriend

Chapter 137. Reunited

Chapter 137. Reunited

Love

I exhaled. There was no way out of this room. I was trapped.

I sat in the corner of the room and buried my face in my legs. The door opened, and I looked up. Maleck walked in with a charming smile on his lips.

" Hello, there,"

" I want to go home, please," I croaked. Maleck frowned

" You can consider this as your home for the time being,"

I glared at him. He was carrying a dress and heels in his hands. He placed them on the bed.

" I have children who need me. Please let me go without a fuss, Maleck." My voice was soft now, and tears rushed down my face. He crouched and wiped the tears from his eyes with his thumb. I gasped at his touch.

" Don't cry. It doesn't suit you," he whispered. I punched him across the face, pushed him, and quickly got to my feet to run. However, before I could reach the doorknob, I was tugged back by my hair. Maleck threw me against the wall, and I came crashing down the floor with a thud. Pain coursed through my body. I stayed in the same position, waiting for the pain to pass, but it didn't.

" I want you. I have you, and you're not leaving," he growled. Maleck grabbed my throat and lifted me to stand against the wall. My legs were wobbly. I fell to the ground. He cussed,

" What did Damisha do to you?" he murmured. The wolfsbane was now taking root in my blood.

" Go clean up and wear that dress. We are having dinner. It's our first date," he was excited.

" I'm not dining with you," I snarled. He turned his head to me with a sneer on his lips,

" I wasn't asking."

How many psychos was I going to deal with in one day? Maleck left the room. I sat defeated for a moment, wiping tears from my eyes. I didn't want to feel powerless anymore. I had to do what I could to save my life.

I sat in a meditation position. I needed to be reunited with Vee. It can't be too hard since the witch is dead. Her magic would have weakened. I did the breathing exercise taught to me by the lycan Prince.

I closed my eyes and shut down everything. I only focused on my bond with Vee. Only vee.

I felt everything around me fade. The only thing I could hear was the sound of my stable heartbeat.

I felt like I was being transmitted to another dimension. My soul was, at least. I opened my eyes to a white abyss. I didn't know where I was. My eyes searched around, and a smile curled on my lips when I saw the back of a lycan. It looked like Vee, except her cream-white fur had a mixture of rich gold color. It shimmered. It was captivating. I took steps towards the lycan. I couldn't help but notice that my feet were not touching the white ground as I walked. There was no ground.

' Vee?' I called, still unsure. Her neck twisted towards me. Tears burned my eyes. It was my Vee. Her eyes lit up when she saw me. I ran to her, hugging her.

' Vee, I missed you!' I cried. Tears were running down my face.

I pulled away after planting a kiss on her fur.

' Vee, what happened?'

' The witch trapped me in the hell of the beyond. A three-tailed white wolf helped me and transported me here to wait for you,' she explained quickly. Three-tailed white wolf—Was it a spirit? The realization hit me. Nicholas did mention a white wolf in the beyond. He must have asked her to help Vee. If we got out alive, I'd thank him.

' The fur... It's lovely. What happened?'

' Zio told me to drink from a golden lake. When I did, it must have colored my fur. It healed the injuries I had due to fighting bad spirits,'

Zio, who was that?

' Who is that?' I frowned. She rolled her pretty eyes,

" It's the three-tailed wolf. Catch up, please!" she snapped. I missed her so much. I stroked her fur again. It was lovely.

' The golden color and cream-white fur mix beautifully.'

' Yeah. I saw,'

' So, where is this place?' I asked, looking around. The white abyss seemed unending, and there was nothing in sight.

' We are in the middle. We are between the physical and beyond."

Vee took in my appearance for the first time. A low growl left her.

' Love, you look terrible. What happened?'

' Long story. We need to leave this place. We are in danger in the physical world,' I told her.

' I know what to do. Open your mind to me at a deeper level. Our energies must mix,' she instructed.

I sat in front of her and closed my eyes. I opened my mind to her. Something within me shifted. I felt our spiritual energy merging until we were one again.

When my eyes opened, I was back in the room. I was still in the same position. We did it. I could feel Vee in my mind. The fusing took a toll on her, but she was strengthening me.

' We did it,' her voice was barely audible.

I was still struggling with the injuries on my body. My lycan could only do so much.

' It will take time to heal you. I didn't expect the fusing to render me so weak,'

' I understand. Don't put any pressure on yourself, please,' I told her. I couldn't lose her again... There was no getting her back from death.

I inhaled deeply and wobbled to the door. I opened it. The first smell that hit me was rogues.

There was a party in the distance. I heard chatter and music. That would explain the emptiness in the packhouse. The packhouse was dimly lit. I rushed down through the dark passage. On my way, I grabbed the sharpest piece of shard I saw. I might need this soon. I was proud I made it to the first floor undetected, but I wasn't too lucky as I reached for the door this time. A wolf spotted me. He was too drunk to notice me.

" What the fuck happened to you," he slurred.

" Just games,"

" I know. Today's match is crazy! A fight broke out at the party," he shook his head and walked away. I exhaled in relief. As I made a corner, I bumped into a rogue.

" You... How.. The alpha said-" Before he could finish his sentence, I charged at him and dug the shard in his flesh. He let out a howl. Fuck. I grabbed his face and hit his head against the hard ground, knocking him out cold.

There was a loud bang somewhere and a growl.

" Where the fuck is she?!" I heard Maleck's angry voice.

I jumped on my feet and stealthily rushed out of the room. I didn't waste my strength hiding my body.

I was looking for an exit. However, I couldn't find it as I was unfamiliar with this packhouse.

My senses weren't too heightened.

I was running in circles. The rogues after me were hot on my tail. I finally managed to find a backdoor that led to the forest. I had no time to waste. I pushed it open, about to bolt into the forest, when my knees weakened, and I fell. I physically couldn't run. I was fucked. A vicious growl resonated, and my breath jolted as Maleck stood before me. He was pissed. There were rogues beside him. All in their form. The guy I attacked was standing in the back, glaring at me. Blood was dripping from his chest. I felt myself waver. Is this the end for me? This time, I was sure he'd lock me up for good, if not kill me for attempting to run away. I had no strength to fight anymore in me. I did all I could.

Maleck took steps towards me, and before he could reach me, a flash of black fur dove into his body.
