Chapter 116. Be My Girlfriend

" Let him go, Luis," my date obliges instantly. However, he threw Maybin against the DJ table. The music died down, and everyone was looking at us. Luis turned to me with a faint smile,

" You good?"

I nodded slowly, still gasping for air. He didn't even break a sweat.

" I need fresh air," I answered.

He extended his hand to me, and I took it. We left the club as everyone still watched. We took a walk through the quiet bright streets. We were both silent for a while, enjoying the air of the night,

" I thought you were divorced already," he said. I sighed.

" He's refusing to sign the divorce papers,"

" But why? And why can't your brother and grandmother help you there? They hold power in the city," he said. Indeed, but I didn't want them involved with this. My brother was finally getting his life back together. I don't want to ruin that now. CC was out of the city. If my brother and grandmother got involved, it wouldn't end well for Maybin and his pack. I couldn't do that to those people who were good to me.

" I just can't right now. If they got involved, it would be ugly. We are talking about sanctions which would impact him financially,"

" The bastard cheated on you. He deserves it," he said casually.

" His people don't, plus there is a child in the middle, which makes it worse,"

Luis stopped walking, and stared at me with a raised eyebrow, " You have a child with him?"

I shook my head and explained to him what was happening. Luis was in thought for a while,

" Do you mind giving me the divorce papers?"

" He's stubborn. He wouldn't sign them. Trust me, I tried," I sighed. Maybin knew I wouldn't do anything too drastic because of Apollo, so he was taking advantage of that.

" I can be pretty persuasive. Trust me," he said.

" Apollo- I want-"

" I know, Witch," I couldn't contain the happiness I felt when he called me that.

We were both hungry, so we went to grab food at a Thai restaurant. We ate the food hungrily. It must have been the alcohol in our system that made us eat so much food!

It was after 11 P. M when Luis drove me home. We were both smiling as our date came to an end. I had the best time tonight. Luis leaned in to kiss him, but I stopped him,

" Vanessa,"

He sucked in a breath, " Vanessa is just my job. I can't abruptly cut her off without jeopardizing my mission,"

" Nothing will ever happen between her and I," he promised.

" And your gay lovers?" I sighed, remembering Maybin had brought that up earlier.

" Well, you turned me fully straight," he laughed. I couldn't help the proud smile on my lips.

" What are your intentions towards me, Luis?"

I don't want us to have misunderstandings in the future. I needed to know now what we were.

" I want you to be my girlfriend,"

My heart raced in my chest as I stared at his serious expression.

" Are you sure?"

" The attraction I feel for you is no joke," he answered. I smiled and nodded.

" I will be your girlfriend,"

he smiled and kissed my shoulder before going to kiss my lips. I accepted his kiss. My new boyfriend pushed me against the wall. His hands were caressing my neck. Luis was such a good kisser. I was lost in pleasure.

" Zey," a voice I recognized called softly, and I pulled away from Luis. I turned to the sound. I was surprised to see my sweet angel, Apollo. He was escorted by a security guard.

" Oh, my goddess, darling, what are you doing here?" I asked, worried as I hugged him.

He wrapped his arms around me. Apollo seemed cold even with the warm clothes he wore.

" I just wanted to see you, but you were leaving when I got here, and the other guard kicked me out, so I waited for you outside," he said in a shaky voice. Hearing that, I held him tighter. That security would have to answer for me. How could he kick a boy out in the night? My lycan was angry, too. We were very protective of Apollo.

" Ma'am, I found him outside the gate when I clocked in. He was sleeping on the bench," the security man said. I touched his forehead, and it seemed he was developing a fever. I shared a glance with Luis.

I took Apollo inside the house and immediately got to work on bringing down his temperature. After an hour, he had warm soup, and I tucked him in bed. I went downstairs to Luis, who was waiting patiently. I wrapped my arms around his waist, and he leaned to kiss me,

" How is he?"

" He will be alright. I gave him some medication," I sighed. I grabbed my phone. I needed to tell someone from Maybin's house that he was there with me. They must be going crazy looking for him. However, no one picked up the call. I'd try again later.

' Maybin will lose his mind,' Zey chuckled,

' We'll let him suffer a while,'

" Can I have those divorce papers," Luis said. I didn't fight him about it. I grabbed the papers and gave them to him.

" Don't kill him," I said. He smiled.

" I'll try not to, even when the temptation gets strong,"
