Confinement
Confinement
At the moment he received the results, Justin felt like the whole world had darkened.
It was pitch black.
Not a trace of light could be seen.
Despair emanated from within and without.
Karen was really pregnant?
She was carrying his child?
If Samantha found out that Karen was carrying his child, she definitely wouldn't marry him.
Karen, on the contrary, held onto his arm full of hope, anxiously asking, "Justin, I'm really pregnant! Don't you want our child to have a father?"
Justin stared at Karen intensely.
He wanted to strangle her.
If she died, then all the problems would be solved.
He had never disliked Karen as much as he did at this moment.
He hated himself even more.
Why did he have to touch Karen that time?
If he hadn't, Karen wouldn't have gotten pregnant.
Justin pried Karen's hand off and went to find the doctor with the test report.
Karen thought he wanted to inquire about the condition of the child and happily followed along.
However, Justin asked the doctor, "Doctor, we don't want this child. When can we have the procedure?"
Upon hearing this, Karen stood there in disbelief, not daring to believe that Justin would decisively decide to terminate her pregnancy without any sentiment toward the child or them as mother and son.
The doctor looked at the test report and solemnly said, "The best time for an abortion is between 35 and 55 days. This child is not yet a month old. If you're sure about not keeping it, come back in ten days."
Justin asked anxiously, "Can't we do it now?"
The doctor shook his head, "The child is too small, it's not easy to locate. We're afraid it won't be clean. It's best to come back after 35 days."
Seeing that the doctor said so, Justin couldn't say anything more. He pulled Karen out of the hospital.
Once in the car, he warned, "This child cannot be kept. Don't go anywhere these days. I'll find a place for you to rest well. In ten days, we'll get rid of this child."
Was he planning to confine her? If the child isn't aborted, he won't let her out?
Karen finally came to her senses. Tears fell from her eyes in an instant. Her emotions became agitated.
"This is your child, how can you be so cruel as to abort it?"
Justin said expressionlessly, "This child cannot be kept. Unwanted children shouldn't be brought into the world."
Karen grabbed Justin's arm and pounded it like a madwoman. "Justin Alexander Fletcher! How could you treat me like this? I like you so much. What's so good about Samantha? She's a woman who's had a bastard child. You'd rather have her than me...? You'd rather play daddy to someone else's child than have your own flesh and blood...?"
Justin's eyes flashed with a cold light as he raised his hand and gave her a hard slap. "Watch your words. Samantha is not a bastard, and Samantha is also a victim. Just based on what you just said, you're not even comparable to Samantha... No... you don't even have the qualification to be compared to Samantha."
Karen was dumbfounded.
She covered her burning cheek, staring at Justin with tear-filled eyes, utterly heartbroken, unable to believe that he had actually hit her.
Seeing her silent, Justin grabbed her wrist and approached her, threatening fiercely, "I warn you, if you dare to slander Samantha again, I won't let you off. Only you and I know about the child. If a third person finds out, I'll make you and the child disappear from this world completely."
As he spoke, his grimace was like a nightmare from hell.
Karen was petrified. She hadn't expected that a child would push Justin to this extent.
This was a completely different Justin from the one she remembered.
Justin continued, "Samantha has finally agreed to marry me. I absolutely won't allow anything unexpected to happen. If you dare to ruin my wedding, I'll kill you."
The fierce warning made every hair on Karen's body stand on end instantly.
She dared not resist anymore, clutching Justin's hand tightly, pleading, "Justin, I really like you. Please, don't hurt our child. This is the fruit of our love!"
But Justin couldn't care less.
He started the car and took Karen to the newly purchased villa, took out his phone, and called his assistant.
"Get me ten bodyguards to XX."
Half an hour later, the assistant arrived with ten bodyguards at the villa.
Justin instructed expressionlessly, "Watch her closely. If she tries to escape, you're all dead."
The assistant had never seen such a boss before, hesitating for a moment before nodding, "I'll make sure Miss Karen is well looked after and won't let her leave."
"Take away her phone and forbid her from contacting anyone."
The assistant immediately confiscated Karen's phone.
Justin nodded in satisfaction, unwilling to stay any longer, and left without looking back.
Karen got up to chase after him but was stopped by the assistant.
"Miss Karen, Mr. Fletcher said you can't leave here these days! Please don't make it difficult for us, otherwise, we'll have to take strong measures."
Karen's body went limp, slumping onto the sofa.
She felt hopeless, regretful.
She shouldn't have been so impulsive.
She shouldn't have come to find Justin alone.
She should have worked with Ethan.
If she really was confined here and had to undergo an abortion in ten days, then everything would be over.
Her child, her dream of marrying into a wealthy family, everything would be over.
But now that things have come to this point, what else can she do?
After leaving the villa, it was already late at night.
Justin parked the car outside Samantha's community, looking at the still lit house, feeling restless as he loosened his tie.
Anxious.
Regretful.
Unprecedented anxiety and regret.
He was ashamed of his actions today.
He actually threatened a woman with confinement.
But the thought of Samantha leaving him again because of this made him afraid of losing his sanity.
He had waited for Samantha for four years.
Loved her for over a decade.
After experiencing numerous difficulties, finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, he absolutely would not allow any accidents to happen again.
Absolutely not.
At the same time.
Samantha stood by the window, preparing to close the doors and windows and go to bed.
She casually glanced at the entrance of the community.
Because she lived on a low floor and in a building facing the street, she immediately recognized Justin's car.
She stood by the window in puzzlement for a full five minutes.
Seeing that Justin hadn't left yet, she couldn't help but change her clothes and go downstairs.
Justin was staring blankly at the house where Samantha lived when suddenly his car window was knocked on.
He snapped back to reality and pressed the window button.
The window slowly lowered.
Samantha's worried face appeared in his line of sight, making him momentarily flustered and unreal.
Seeing him staring at her without speaking, Samantha thought something was wrong and couldn't help but reach out to check his forehead's temperature, worriedly asking, "What's wrong with you? Did something happen?"
Her palm was warm and soft.
The warmth transmitted through the skin to his body, flowing into his heart along with the bloodstream.
It made Justin's cold heart suddenly warm up.
