Expelled
Expelled
Kindergarten A.
This is the most opulent nursery in the capital, attended by students who are either affluent or of noble birth.
Finally free from the confines of home, Alexander's mood remained joyful throughout the day. However, what puzzled him was that no one took the initiative to approach him. Even when he attempted to engage classmates with a smile, they all avoided him as if he were a ferocious beast. This situation persisted until noon.
During lunchtime, Alexander held his plate and queued up in an orderly manner to get food. Suddenly, two children cut in line. He recalled these two kids. One was named Patrick Costa, four and a half years old, half a year older than Alexander but the same height. The other was Matthew Dubois, the same age as Alexander but half a head shorter, Patrick's sidekick.
Today, he observed that these two always enjoyed picking on him, bumping into him from time to time and tripping him. Thinking that today was the first day of class and he needed to leave a good impression, he didn't bother with them. It was the same now. He decided to be polite first.
"Are you cutting in line?"
Patrick arrogantly tilted his chin, disdainfully looking at him and signaling to Matthew. Matthew received the signal and immediately stepped forward, saying, "Do you know who our Young Master Costa is? Him cutting in your line is your honor."
Alexander couldn't be bothered to argue with them, so he found the teacher in charge of maintaining order. "Teacher Moreno, Patrick and Matthew are cutting in line."
Teacher Trisha Moreno, in her early twenties, had just graduated from teacher training. After graduating, thanks to Patrick's uncle, she took a job here.
Upon hearing Alexander's accusation, her face darkened, and she gave him a displeased look. To maintain a fair and just image, she asked Patrick, "Patrick, is what he said true?"
Patrick shook his head in denial, "No, I didn't. Matthew and I were standing here from the beginning."
Teacher Moreno then turned to Matthew. Matthew immediately said, "Yes, indeed, from the beginning, we've been standing here. Noah is the one who complained first."
Hearing their explanation, Teacher Moreno didn't waste a second before siding with them. She pinched Alexander's ear, looking pretty annoyed, and said, "Seriously? You're just a kid, and you're already throwing shade at your classmates?"
Alexander winced as his ears turned as red as a tomato.
Finally getting it, he realized why Patrick and Matthew felt so untouchable. Figures, they had some big-shot backing them up! Alright then, game on.
"So, you're like, their guardian angel or something?"
Teacher Moreno, looking like a cat with a tail stuck in the door, was breaking a sweat. She gave Alexander's clothes a good twist and continued, "You mess up, but won't own it. Skip lunch today, stand outside, and think about your life choices."
As she let go of his ear, ready to escort him out, Alexander had had enough. Patrick and Matthew were reveling in their apparent victory, smirking away.
"Are you seriously taking their side?" Alexander shouted, his patience running thin. He grabbed Teacher Moreno's wrist, gave it a quick twist, and with a loud thud, she hit the ground.
"Ouch..." she whimpered, struggling to get up.
Seeing their once confident teacher now grounded, Patrick and Matthew were wide-eyed. Patrick stepped back, urging Matthew forward, "Go on, show him what's what. Let him know who he's messing with."
Matthew hesitated, looking a bit unsure about the whole situation.
The blow from Noah just now did scare him.
No matter how they bullied Noah before, he always remained silent and never complained to the teacher.
This was his first time resisting.
And he was quite skilled.
Seeing him hesitate, Patrick impatiently pushed him forward again, "Hurry up! Do you not want to hang out with me anymore?"
Afraid to disobey his command, Matthew gathered his courage, closed his eyes, and rushed towards Alexander.
Alexander's face was full of disdain as he kicked hard at Matthew's chest.
"Ugh..."
Suddenly, a sharp pain stabbed through his chest. Poor Matthew collapsed to the floor, all curled up, sweat pouring down from the pain.
With Teacher Moreno and Matthew out of the way, Alexander strolled up to the main troublemaker, Patrick. Patrick eyed him cautiously, taking a step back in surprise.
"Hey, don't come closer.!Teacher! Noah's going crazy, he's attacked Teacher Moreno and Matthew. Quick, call the cops or find the principal!"
Two other teachers rushed over to check things out. Spotting their fallen colleagues, one teacher dashed off to get the principal and security. Another teacher blocked Alexander, giving him a serious warning, "Noah, do you even get that hitting people is not cool? Keep it up, and you're out of this kindergarten."
Alexander just shrugged, poker-faced, and threw in, "You guys ever heard of Ethan Steele?" Remembering his dad's big shot status in the kindergarten, he added, "My dad practically owns this place, you know."
The teacher, thinking he was bluffing, sneered and said, "Oh, here we go again. Noah, just 'cause your last name is Steele, doesn't mean you're some hotshot from the Steele family."
Noah hadn't spilled the beans about his dad before. When they asked him to call his father, he always dodged it. But now, pulling the same trick, nobody was buying it.
"No, seriously, my dad is Ethan Steele," Alexander insisted.
The teacher wasn't having any of it and looked at Noah with clear impatience.
Just then, the principal, security, and the school doc arrived on the scene. Seeing Alexander about to throw a punch at Patrick, who happened to be the kid of one of the kindergarten's big shots, the principal lost it. Without even checking the facts, he slapped Alexander.
Caught off guard, Alexander hit the ground, blood streaming from a split lip.
Seeing him injured, the principal felt no remorse. With a sharp and sarcastic tone, he said, "From today onwards, you're expelled from the school. Pack your things and leave immediately. Kindergarten A is an aristocratic school, not a place for students like you."
Children admitted here all had certain backgrounds. Afraid of unintentionally offending important figures, the principal had conducted thorough investigations and inquiries about all the children in the school. Everyone here was not to be trifled with, except for this Noah, whose background was a complete mystery, probably someone from the lower class who got in through connections. Young Master Costa was not someone he could offend.
With a fiery pain on his cheek, Alexander got up from the ground, looked at the principal coldly, and said, "Now I finally understand why Noah refused to go to kindergarten! It turns out you all treat him like this."
Thinking about Noah's experiences at school, Alexander's heart throbbed with pain. He finally understood why the doctor diagnosed Noah with a tendency for depression. Living in such an environment for an extended period, it would be strange if one's mental state didn't distort.
