RUNNING AWAY FROM MY BETROTHED

CHAPTER 232. HIS VOW

CHAPTER 232. HIS VOW

CONTINUATION OF DAMIAN’S POV

In no time, despite her weirdness, her irritating temper and stubbornness, regardless of was chasing her away and her predicaments, despite how lost she seemed, I and unapologetically fell for her. Head over heel. I fell deeply in love with sweet weird Ellie, and I gave her my all. Love finally hit me, and I drowned so in it and got stuck there. I never wanted anything but the happiness she me. I clung to that. She is my solace and everything that brings peace and .

But then again, I learned of her real identity, and reality slapped me like hell. I was man who had brought so much pain into her life. The man she loathed so much.

The reason she was never happy. The reason she had eloped and gone into hiding.

The reason she suffered so immensely for disobeying her father. The man she loathed all her heart.

The revelation hit me like a tidal wave, drowning me in guilt and regret. I had been the cause of her deepest sorrows, the catalyst for her escape from a she found unbearable. The more I uncovered about her past, the heavier the on my conscience grew. She had fled from the very world I represented, refuge from a fate she couldn’t accept, and here I was, standing as a stark of everything she had tried to escape.

I remembered the stories of her defiance, how she stood up against the expectations on her, and how she fought for her freedom. She was brave and strong, but struggles had left scars. Scars I had played a part in inflicting.

The woman I had come to cherish, the one who brought light and joy into my life, had suffered because of me. The love I felt for her was now tainted with the of the pain I had caused. I was torn between the desire to make things and the fear that my real identity would only bring her more anguish. I would nothing but loath and resentment from her, and that was something that my heart not handle. And even herself, I knew she could not handle that kind of of tidal because I knew she was deeply into me. I didn’t want to ruin the peace and she had found.

I questioned everything. How could she ever forgive me? How could we move past dark history that bound us together in such a cruel twist of fate? The memories of time together, the moments of happiness and connection, now felt fragile, by the shadows of our past.

Yet, despite the turmoil, I couldn’t walk away. The love I had for her was too strong, deeply rooted. I had to try to mend what was broken, to show her that my feelings genuine and my intentions pure. I needed to prove that I was more than the man had caused her so much pain and that I could be the one to bring her happiness peace.

The idea of losing her paralyzed my bones, and I knew I couldn't handle the pain of her wrath. I was hurting enough to know that I was that person she never to lay her eyes on; another additional pain would have killed me. That's how I loved my sweet Ellie, and still how much I do.

Choices are good lessons for the future, and I have learned mine. Staying away from was hell, and I wouldn't let anything separate us ever again. As I stare into her eyes right now, her cute face in my arms, I promise to protect her with my and love her the way she deserves. She is my all—the last thing I want to see closing my eyes at night and the first thing I want to see when I open them in morning. With her, I am complete. Her people are my people, and her enemies are just like her battles are mine. Whoever has motives to hurt her will have to go this wall called Damian Almeda Riccaforte first. She is my all. My priceless . My soul!

The end of Daniel's perspective

"Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?" Damian speaks after what feels like a century of pure staring. I don't know in which jungle his mind wandered off to.

"Was my beauty what you were admiring for that long?It is not like you are seeing me the first time!" I chirpingly query, trying to lighten the mood.

"Even in eternity, I will never get tired of admiring it. I feel so special knowing that beautiful goddess is all mine," he says, leaning in to kiss my lips gently. A short that doesn’t take more than a second.

And I want more. "Why don't you make me feel how special I am?” I tease.

He cocks his head, raising a brow as he cruises his eyes around my office for a while.

He finally closes our eyes and says, “Right here?” He asks.

I smirk. He has a mind, you know. I shake my head. “In our supposedly matrimonial ," I suggest, my voice tinged with a mix of challenge and desire.

He chuckles, his excitement evident. "Mmh. No rules anymore?" he asks, his eyes with anticipation.

Rules again? What rules? "Shut up before I change my mind," I tease, trying to keep a face.

"Please don't, love," he murmurs, his voice soft and earnest as he stands up.

"Then let’s be quick, hun! I am starving," I reply, my impatience and longing making heart race.

He stands up, taking my hand and leading me towards the door. The playful banter us is replaced by palpable tension, an anticipation of what’s to come. I can imagine. The fire is already burning.
