Chapter 23: MEETING THE SIBLING

Skylar yawned and stood up from the bed. Her mother and Vino had forced her to spend the night at Vino's house once again. Her mother was mostly afraid of Leon, that he might come back to hurt her again? But Skylar wasn't afraid of him. As long as Vino was by her side, she trusted him to protect her just as he had done in the garden.

Skylar stood up from the bed, walked to the window, and stared at the ocean which was at the far end of the property. A lot of things were on her mind and mostly all of them were about Vino. She has made up her mind to tell him how she really feels about him but one thing was stopping her, what if he's not in love with her? What if he only wanted her for a girlfriend and nothing else? She really needs to talk to Paula about this as she was confused.

Skylar stepped away from the window to go pick up her phone which was in her bag. She quickly dials Paula's number and waits for her to pick it up while wondering where Vino was?

" Hello" Skylar called into the phone as soon as the call connected. She smiled immediately when she heard Paula's sleepy voice on the other phone.

" Hey. How are you? Have been trying your cell since yesterday, hope you're good" Paula asked her. Skylar couldn't help the smile that spread across her face, so typical of Paula's to worry about her.

"I'm fine. I need your help" Skylar told Paula. She heard the shuffling of clothes in the background before Paula's clear voice was heard on the phone.

"What is it? Is this about a guy named Vino?" Paula asked her with a playful hint in her voice. Actually, she was surprised to see Skylar's call so very early in the morning that she couldn't help wondering if this was because of their fight yesterday.

" Yes and no," Skylar replied as she paced around the room. She was confused. Even after putting the call through to Paula, she couldn't bring herself to say what was on her mind. How can she tell Paula that she wanted to tell Vino that she loves him but she's afraid that he might not love her back just like her ex?

" Skylar are you still there?" Paula's voice got through to Skylar on the other line. She came out of her thoughts just in time to hear Paula's question.

"Yes__ I wanted to say"

Skylar couldn't complete her question cause the door chose that minute to ding signifying Vino's entrance.

"Paula, please let's talk later" Skylar called frantically into the phone. She hangs up without waiting for Paula's response. She went to sit on the bed just as Vino walked in, balancing a tray containing coffee and waffle. Skylar smiled at the gesture and watched him deposit it on the bed beside her before turning to peck her lightly on the lips.

" Good morning, beautiful angel. Sleep well?" Vino asked her with a smile on his lips. He winks at her, before carrying the tray onto her lap.

" Yes, thank you" Skylar replied as her eyes glimpse a little flower nestled in between the waffle and the coffee. She picked it up, turning it in her hands she looked up at Vino who was watching her curiously.

Skylar put the tiny flower on her hair. Vino bent to peck her on the lips again surprised as to how fast she could improvise the use of the tiny flowers in her hands. Initially, he had picked up the flower from his garden because he felt the tray looked empty but only Skylar could find use even for a little flower.

Skylar picked up the coffee and sipped on it slowly, savouring the taste in her mouth" What are we doing today? It's the weekend" Skylar pointed out to Vino. She hopes they go to a public place as being confined with Vino in a room was making her want to tell him how much she loves and cherishes him.

Skylar dropped the coffee cup gently back into the saucer. She stood up and went to stand near the window gazing out of the window

" Today," Vino said as he walked closer to where she stood and pulled her into his embrace. He nestles his nose in between her neck" I want us to go see my brothers. They arrived yesterday and will be leaving tomorrow"

Skylar gasped as she gazed up into his coffee brown eyes. Her heart was overjoyed. Surely, he does love her. That's why he'll want her to see his siblings, right? Skylar wondered in her mind.

" Okay, we'll go see your siblings. But I'll need to see mom after that, okay?" Skylar asked him. Vino could only nod but he wasn't happy. He doesn't want anything to take her away from his side, not even her mother but he just has to be patient until he gets married to her.

Skylar giggled as soon as Vino tickled her" Stop it Vino" Skylar said in between laughs but Vino wasn't going to stop anytime soon. Skylar had to run into the bathroom and lock the door to stop his tickling.

A few minutes later, Vino and Skylar were on their way to see Vino's siblings. Skylar was so nervous that she kept clenching and unclenching her hands. A lot of things were on mine. She couldn't help wondering what to do if his brothers didn't accept her.

Her nervousness wasn't lost on Vino who turned to wrap his hands on her hands folded across her laps as he offered her a tiny smile "What are you worried about?" Vino asked her. He was only worried that she might refuse to meet his siblings but she accepted, what then could be on her mind? Vino thought to himself as he turned to pull the car down to the hotel where his two brothers were staying.

"I'm just scared. I mean, what if your brothers don't like me? What will happen after then?" Skylar whispered to him with tears in her eyes. She couldn't bring herself to think about what she will do if she and Vino are separated. She has grown to depend so much on him that she couldn't bear being alone without him in her life.

Vino stares at her, he flicks the tears from her eyes with his thumb. He bends to kiss her lightly on the lips before turning to focus on the road "You don't need to be afraid. Even though my brothers don't like you, that doesn't mean I won't accept you. I care about you, Skylar" Vino told her, trying to reassure her. He saw the smile return on her face only then could he allow himself to relax. He was scared she would change her mind.

Vino pulled into the Thompson Hotel and walked out of the car. He went behind to open the door for Skylar before handing the keys to the valet to park the car.

He led a shocked Skylar down the lobby into the elevator that will take them to the penthouse suite where his two brothers were lodged. Skylar was surprised that he didn't even check-in at the reception and no one bothered them.

She raises her eyes to take in the name of the hotel. Skylar gasped; she didn't know his family owns a hotel. She turned to stare at Vino, wondering in her heart, how rich is he?

Vino felt her eyes on him, he turned to pull her into his body as the elevator kept counting the floor. His lips met her, as he felt Skylar pull into him, deepening the kiss. All control swept out of Vino as he ran his hands down her body hungrily trying to calm his nerves.

His subconscious was telling him to be wary of the people watching them in the control room but Vino wasn't listening to any of that. He let go of Skylar's lips, unbuttoned her shirt, and freed her breasts to his eyes. Vino's eyes widened, he bent to take her nipples into his mouth as he sucks on them, using his other hands, he kneads her right nipples causing Skylar to moan loudly, she threw back her head in abandoned enjoying the feel of Vino's lips on her nipples.

Vino was about to have his way with her when the elevator suddenly dinged, signifying their arrival at the penthouse suite. Vino cursed inwardly, he bent to arrange Skylar's dress to cover her breath as he offered her a sad smile. He couldn't believe he had to lose control just by the touch of her lips.

Vino turned to rearrange his trouser to cover his now hardened erection which was begging for release. He guides Skylar out of the room after signalling to the control room to delete the video.

Skylar was beyond embarrassed. She couldn't believe that she let Vino do that to her and in a public place but a part of her was glad, she has experienced what having sex in the elevator was and she is ready to try it again with Vino.

She came out of her thoughts as soon as Vino knocked on the door. A deep voice call comes in causing Skylar's nerve to return in full force as Vino opens the door into the room.

As soon as they stepped into the room, Vino was enveloped in a tight embrace by his brother Victor who caused Vino to giggle in excitement. Skylar could see that the brothers all cherished one another.

Vino seemed to remember Skylar's presence in the room, he drags her to him and introduces her to his little brother who doesn't seem so little. "Skylar meets my little brother, Victor. He's the baby of the family and an actor" Skylar smiles and stretches forth her hands for a shake but she was enveloped in a hug by Victor who was excited to meet her.

"Nice meeting you, Skylar. We've heard so much about you as Vino wouldn't let us rest. Every sentence he speaks, there's always a Skylar in it" Victor told her as he ushered them into the sitting room.

"Where's Michael?" Vino asked Victor after looking around for his elder brother. He nods in greeting to the maid who has brought them wine and prepares to fill their glasses with the wine.

"Oh! You know how he is? He can't bear to stay away from Nina for a day? He has been on the phone all night and day with her" Victor responded with a shrug. He didn't understand what love means? He was attracted to Leslie and the sex between them was good but he can't even imagine himself being putty in her hands.

Vino smiled at Victor's sentence and turned to pull Skylar closer to him. He could understand where Michael was coming from as he couldn't bear to stay away from Skylar even for a second. He loves her so much and he couldn't wait to tell her just that but he needed to be sure that she loves him too. He wouldn't want to look stupid and heartbroken when he confesses his feelings to her and she rejects him.

Vino came out of his thoughts just in time to see Michael descending the stairs with a bright smile on his face. He walked closer to Vino and pulled him into a hug. Skylar couldn't help feeling jealous of their happy family. She wished she wasn't the only one her parents had; she would have loved her siblings as much as Vino does to his.

"Hi! You must be Skylar, right?" Skylar turned to see Vino's older brother talking to her. She smiled and nodded at him.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Michael, this naughty boy's older brother. I'm so thankful to you for putting him back in the right way, we were all afraid that he wouldn't get married after that tragic incident" Michael told Skylar with a smile on his face before going back to his seat but Skylar couldn't help wondering what tragic incident happened to Vino.

As Vino drove her to her mother's place, the words of Michael were still evident in Skylar's mind and she hoped to find the solution to it soon, while also praying that it doesn't affect her relationship with Vino.
