Revenge with My Quadruplets

Chapter 124

Chapter 124

Kingsley opened his eyes and met Charlotte's gaze. The next moment, he looked away.

"Prepare to enter. Rehearsal is ready to begin," Carolina's words prompted everyone on set to take their places. Kingsley stood up, while Charlotte walked onto the stage.

The scene depicted the first encounter between Juliet and Romeo.

The stage was elegantly designed, resembling a grand banquet. Brilliantly lit candles and soft, romantic music created the perfect ambiance. The crowd, dressed in elaborate ballroom attire, danced energetically in the center of the dance floor.

Kingsley's Romeo was dressed in an ornate dark blue outfit with a mask, wandering through the ball until he spotted Juliet, played by Charlotte, on the other side of the stage. She wore a white gown, resembling a delicate rose.

Romeo was captivated by Juliet's beauty, and he felt as though she was the only person left at the ball. He approached her to the accompaniment of music, his heart racing with excitement and anticipation.

Romeo bravely approached Juliet and bowed gracefully, admiration evident in his gaze. His voice was gentle and passionate. "If I dare touch your beauty with these unworthy hands, will that sin be forgiven?"

Kingsley's portrayal was both reserved and gentlemanly, his dark eyes deep as the sea. Everyone on set was entranced by his performance, and many held their breath unconsciously.

All eyes were on Charlotte. Her exquisite beauty, like a porcelain doll, raised the question: Could she truly match Kingsley's performance?

As Kingsley gazed at Charlotte, her expression remained open and honest. His gentle eyes quickened her heartbeat, but she swiftly composed herself to respond as Juliet would. At that moment, she became Juliet, drawn to Romeo's charm and sincerity. She smiled, meeting his gaze with a hint of shyness and a twinkle in her eyes. "What a strange traveler, why are you here?" she responded playfully and softly.

As the dialogue unfolds, the hustle and bustle of the ball seemed to fade away, leaving Romeo and Juliet alone on the stage. They slowly moved closer to each other, as if they were the only two people in the world.

Romeo's eyes were focused on Juliet, and his every word was filled with deep emotion. Juliet felt herself warming under Romeo's gaze. There was no denying the strong attraction he felt for her. Her heart raced as though an irresistible force was drawing them closer.

As the ball came to an end, Romeo and Juliet must part ways for a time, but a spark of love had already ignited in their hearts. This scene of their first encounter intertwined their destinies.

At this point, the first scene of the initial encounter between the hero and heroine had been rehearsed.

Charlotte was called aside by Carolina, who patiently points out the shortcomings and necessary improvements.

Kingsley glanced at her, emotions stirring in his eyes, as though something was breaking through the ground, eager for the chance to take root.

Finally finding a moment's respite, Charlotte felt a wave of relief. Her heart nearly beat out of her chest at the thought of having just rehearsed with Kingsley and his soulful eyes, and even her ears turn red with emotion.

Glancing at Kingsley, who was not far away, Charlotte suppressed her excitement and walked forward, speaking with a flushed face, "King..." But she abruptly stopped.

Kingsley sat in his seat, eyes closed. Hearing Charlotte's voice, he opened his eyes.

Charlotte saw the hostility and dislike clearly visible in his deep black eyes.

Right, it was dislike.

Charlotte was slightly taken aback.

She did not expect to see such emotions in his eyes when she met him again.

What could be the reason for this dislike?

In the next moment, Kingsley abruptly stood up and brushed past her without even giving her a glance.

At that moment, Charlotte thought she heard the sound of her heart shattering like glass.

During the afternoon rehearsal, Charlotte seemed to be in a daze, scolded several times by Carolina. Seeing Kingsley's increasingly cold expression made her feel a sudden sadness.

After the rehearsal, Sherry handed Charlotte a bottle of water. Charlotte looked at her and felt an urge to cry.

"Did I mess up?" Charlotte's lips quivered, and her delicate face took on a sad, forlorn look like an abandoned kitten.

Sherry softened instantly when she saw Charlotte's expression. "No, you're doing very well!"

Noticing Kingsley's figure as he was about to leave, Charlotte mustered up her courage and quickly caught up to him. "Kingsley!"

Kingsley stopped in the crowd, turned around, and looked at her steadily.

Charlotte, feeling a bit nervous, took a step forward.

Someone seemed about to intervene, but Carl, who was next to Kingsley, stopped them with a look.

Charlotte approached Kingsley smoothly, standing upright, her hands nervously clasped together, leaving red marks on her white, jade-like fingertips.

"Kingsley, about the rehearsal earlier, I'm really sorry for causing a delay. I'm sorry!"

Kingsley remained silent, creating an awkward atmosphere.

Charlotte felt uncomfortable, sensing that Kingsley was in a foul mood.

"Don't say that," Kingsley coldly said.

Charlotte was confused. What did he mean?

However, Kingsley gave her no further chance, walking right past her.

Carl shot her a deep, complex look, one she found hard to interpret.

What was going on here?

Meanwhile, back in the break room, Kingsley ordered everyone out.

When Carl pushed open the door to the room, he was met with a chilling aura emanating from Kingsley, cold as ice and utterly consumed by paranoia.

Carl braced himself against the pressure and walked in, observing Kingsley on the couch.

Kingsley was trying to control his emotions like a caged animal, and Carl's gaze held a hint of pity beneath his glasses.

"Kingsley, it's time to take your medication."
