Revenge with My Quadruplets

Chapter 62

Chapter 62

Emily didn't know that so many things had happened in just a few hours. She and Teresa were trying their best to hold Louise still and bring her upstairs to Emily's bedroom on the second floor.

"Oh my, we finally made it." Teresa panted heavily as she held her knees with both hands.

Emily and Louise fell onto the bed together.

"You have to wash the sheets for me after you wake up tomorrow." Emily pinched Louise's cheeks. Her cheeks were now as red as an apple, and Emily felt that it was tender.

"I'll get a cup of honey water for Louise. Otherwise, she'll have a headache tomorrow," Teresa said considerably.

After Teresa left, Emily sat up on the bed as well. She helped Louise take off her shoes and coat to make her feel more comfortable.

At this moment, Louise's phone rang. Emily took a look and saw that it was Louise's brother, Nigel. She picked it up.

"Louise, where are you? I called you several times. Why didn't you pick up the phone?" As soon as the call was connected, Nigel's anxious voice sounded.

"Nigel, it's me, Emily. Louise is at my place. She's drunk now." Emily glanced at Louise and used her other hand to tuck Louise in.

"Thank you so much! Mom and Dad are anxious. It's so good to have you here." Nigel heaved a sigh of relief. Who would guess that this new business star felt his hands tied when faced with his only sister?

Emily felt that Louise couldn't say something to Nigel because they were family. Misunderstandings could occur when people cared about each other too much. Chris and Diane were Emily's only family. She didn't want Louise to feel regretful, so she spoke out her thoughts on Louise’s behalf.

Emily's words made Nigel fall silent. Emily didn't push him, either. She knew that Nigel needed time to think about her words. After all, in his heart, Louise had always been the little sister he needed to protect. It wasn't easy for him to change his mind so easily.

"Louise is an outstanding girl. I think she will make you proud," Emily said softly.

"I understand. Thank you, Emily. We all need some time to think about it. We all love her deeply." Nigel was kind of depressed. He didn't expect that his protection would become a burden to his family. They were each other's only siblings. It was normal for them to have some issues, but they could face problems together and solve them.

"Don't worry, she will be fine at my place." Emily comforted Nigel. She could feel the impact of her words on him.

"Call me if you need anything," Nigel said. Then, he said embarrassedly, "Don't tell Louise that I called."

The next morning, Louise was still asleep when Emily woke up.

Emily knew that Louise had only been drinking last night and barely eaten anything. Louise must have been very hungry this morning, so Emily woke up early to prepare breakfast with Teresa.

In the kitchen, Emily got bread, eggs, and honey. She cut the bread into pieces. Then she put the honey into the egg and stirred it. Then she made sure every side of the bread was immersed in the egg fluid.

After she prepared the ingredients, she put the butter in the pot and melted it. Then she put the bread into the pot. The sweet smell filled the room instantly.

Louise was lying on the bed with her eyes closed. She smelled the food, sat up, and went downstairs in a daze. When she sobered up, she found herself sitting at the table waiting for breakfast.

"Oh my, it smells so good." Louise sighed.

What could drive away worry better than a delicious breakfast?

Emily took out the fried bread, sprinkled a thin layer of sugar on it, and placed the bottle of sugar on the side. She put corn, tomatoes, and other vegetables and fruits on a small plate.

Finally, she put a few blueberries on the plate. The delicious breakfast was ready.

"Hurry up, Emily. I'm so hungry." Louise shouted and couldn't wait anymore.

Emily served breakfast. Louise immediately took a photo and sent it to Nigel.

"He can't enjoy the delicious meal. He's gonna be pretty upset," Louise explained.

Emily saw through her mind, but she didn't say anything.

At this moment, Emily heard the footsteps of the two kids. They were coming down.

"Mommy, what's for breakfast today? It smells so good." Diane came downstairs after she smelled the food. She usually got up late.

Diane saw Chris sitting in a chair and was already waiting for the food.

"Chris. Why didn't you wait for me? You're a bad brother." Diane complained.

Chris picked up a strawberry on the table and stuffed it into Diane's mouth.

"Well, Chris, you're not that bad." Diane chewed on the strawberry.

Looking at Diane's sudden change in her attitude, Louise couldn't help but laugh out loud. These two kids were so cute.

Louise teased Diane, "Diane, I'll give you some nice food. Say something nice about me."

Diane covered her nose. "Louise, you stink. Mommy said that girls shouldn't smell bad."

Louise remembered what happened last night. She was still wearing the clothes from yesterday. The smell of alcohol was all over her clothes. She felt terrible. Her image had been ruined.

Chris nodded. "Diane is right. Louise, you should go take a shower."

When Emily brought up another two plates of food, she saw Louis' half-eaten breakfast.

"Where is she?" Emily was curious. Louise said that she was hungry. Why did she go before she finished eating?

"Louise stinks." Diane waved her hand in front of her nose.

  Emily looked at Chris doubtfully.

"She went to take a shower." Chris snickered.

  Emily shook her head helplessly.

"You guys eat first. I'll be done soon." Emily returned to the kitchen to get the dishes.

At the dining table, Chris and Diane were enjoying a nutritious breakfast.

"It would be great if Louise came every day," Diane exclaimed, "So I'll have such a delicious breakfast every day."

Chris nodded. He liked toast so much, especially the one made by his mother. He could have another one.

Emily was very happy to see the two kids enjoy the breakfast she made. However, she had something to tell them.

"Chris, Diane, I have something to discuss with you. You are almost five years old. You can go to preschool now," Emily said gently as she put down her fork and knife.
