Chapter 48
Chapter 48
The filming was about to begin, and the four children had all changed their clothes.
They were all adorable and looked good after putting on the new clothes. When they stood together, it was an amazing visual feast.
Looking at them through the cameras, the staff could not help but exclaim.
"Oh my goodness! They are so cute! I wish they were my children."
"When the four of them show up together, I'll be willing to buy all the series they put on."
Even Ian blushed over their compliments. He looked at Emily and wanted to seek her opinion.
Emily nodded at him. Ian was encouraged, and a happy smile appeared on his face.
"Aaron, I'll hold your hand." Ian pulled Aaron happily.
However, during the shooting, regardless of what Jimmy and Andy said, Aaron and Ian were still nervous and could not act naturally.
In the end, Jimmy, Andy, Aaron, and Ian all looked at Emily for help, and Emily did not know whether to laugh or cry.
"Aaron, Ian, just ignore things around you. The four of you are playing together. You can do whatever you want, as long as you feel comfortable. You don't have to worry about anything else. Jimmy will do his job." Emily stood beside Jimmy and encouraged them. "Jimmy is a great photographer, and you are great models. I will stay here with you. Let's work together, okay?"
Aaron and Ian nodded. Emily continued, "This is not your job. It doesn't matter what we shoot. Don't be burdened, okay? Consider it as a game."
Emily's words made Aaron and Ian more relaxed. As time passed, they became more relaxed and fit into the scene.
Jimmy muttered excitedly as he pressed the shutter. Emily continuously guided the children to play with the toys in the scene. The four children began to enjoy themselves.
Aaron began to smile, which made Emily feel pleased.
Andy took the opportunity to get the staff to replace the props, and the whole scene was in full swing.
Just as Derek came out of the elevator, he saw a few staff members hurriedly moving the props. He stopped one person and asked, "Haven't you finished filming yet?"
"Yes, it was delayed by something just now, but now it is catching up," the man said and left in a hurry.
Derek softened his footsteps and did not want to disturb the work inside.
He wanted to go straight to the lounge, but the photography team was busy with their work, and he could not help glancing at them. Then, he was completely stunned.
Were the two children in front of the cameras his sons?
Derek was surprised and stopped in place.
Ever since he knew about Aaron's condition, he had always wanted to cure Aaron. He had also consulted many psychologists, but it didn't work. Although he never gave up, he didn't believe that Aaron would be able to stand under the limelight in front of so many people without panicking.
Derek didn't know what he was thinking at that moment. He could only see Aaron and Ian under the light. They didn't feel the slightest discomfort, and they seemed happier than usual.
He walked forward, wanting to get closer to the children and see more clearly.
"That's it, Aaron. Good job!" Emily kept encouraging Aaron. She was too focused to notice Derek's arrival.
Derek followed the voice and looked at Emily. She looked serious while talking to the children, and was focused. Derek suddenly wanted to hold Emily and thank her for the change she had brought to Aaron and her kindness to his two children. He didn't dare to think further. He forced himself to withdraw his gaze and looked at Aaron and Ian again.
As a father, nothing was more important than making his children happy.
Derek stood in the crowd and watched Aaron and Ian. He felt time passed quickly, then the filming ended.
The four children surrounded Emily and asked for her compliments. Then, Derek came back to his senses.
"Aaron, Ian." He called them softly.
Aaron and Ian heard Derek's voice at once.
"Daddy! Did you see that? I became a model. What do you think?" Ian rushed over happily.
Ian could not wait to tell Derek what he had just done. After saying a few words, and Derek did not respond, he stopped and observed Derek's expression.
"Daddy, are you angry?" Ian was a little uneasy.
Emily heard Ian and also looked at Derek. His expression was complicated, but he didn't seem to be angry.
"No, I am happy. Ian, you did a good job," Derek smiled and touched Ian's head. He turned to look at Aaron. "Aaron has made great progress."
Aaron looked up at Derek and then gave a shy smile.
"Alright, let's go change, okay? We'll go to the break room after we're done," Emily knew that Derek was here to pick up Aaron and Ian, so she quickly said.
"Okay, Mommy." Diane took Chris and ran away first.
"Slow down," Emily looked at the lively Diane and reminded her helplessly.
"Got it, Mommy. Hurry up." Diane laughed.
Emily brought Aaron and Ian and chased after them.
The staff was collecting the equipment and props at the scene. Derek seemed a little extra there. He found that he would be in the way no matter where he stood. In the end, he had to go to the lounge to wait for Aaron and the others.
Through the door, Derek could hear the childish voices of Diane and Ian.
In the past, Aaron and Ian had no friends of their own age, yet they could get along with Chris and Diane as if they were siblings. Now, they were much happier than before.
As Derek was thinking about this, the door to the lounge was opened, and noises came through the door. Derek finally came back to his senses.
Ian was chatting with Diane. When he saw Derek, he ignored Diane and ran to Derek.
Diane pouted. Chris held her hand, and then Diane was happy again.
"Daddy, are you here to pick up Aaron and me? I miss you so much. I haven't eaten much today." Ian patted his little belly.
"You had lots of fruits and waffles during the break. You ate quite a lot." Chris broke Ian's lie.
Ian blushed. He thought, 'I am just happy to see my daddy. Chris is so annoying.' He then glared at Chris.
Diane laughed loudly, making Ian glare at her.
"Aaron, they are laughing at me. Let's ignore them." Ian tried to form an ally with Aaron.
Aaron shook his head and tightened his grip on Emily's hand.
Ian was so angry that he stomped his feet after failing to find an ally.
Derek patted his head and comforted him.
