Revenge with My Quadruplets

Chapter 46

Chapter 46

Emily was drowsy and propped up her chin with one hand. The sunshine in the afternoon shone on her, and she looked like she was glowing.

At that moment, someone knocked on the door. Andy, who had just left, poked her head in and put on an embarrassed smile when she saw Emily.

Emily tilted her head in confusion and asked Andy with her eyes.

Andy pushed open the door and moved sideways to let the person behind her in.

Derek saw Emily under the sunshine. He felt that the sunlight in the break room had warmed his heart, and he was stunned.

"What's the matter, Derek?" Emily's voice was low. She didn't want to wake up Chris and Diane.

Hearing Emily's voice, Derek came back to his senses after a few seconds. Only then did he think of his purpose here.

Aaron walked out from behind Derek and smiled shyly. Ian held Aaron's hand and waved his other hand happily. Even his body was shaking.

Emily was touched and also laughed.

"Diane, wake up. It's time to eat." Diane was awakened by Emily's gentle voice.

She hugged Emily and asked for Emily's kiss. Finally, she opened her eyes.

When Diane saw the people in the room, she blinked in confusion and rubbed her eyes. After making sure that it was not her illusion, she screamed and threw herself into Emily's arms.

"Mommy, I'm so embarrassed." Diane felt her face burning when she thought of what she had just done.

Emily coaxed Diane for a while, yet Diane still refused to raise her head. Chris sighed. It seemed he had to do something.

"Diane, if you don't eat, your favorite food will be mine," Chris said in an exaggerated tone. As he spoke, he paid attention to Diane's reaction.

As expected, the power of food was unlimited.

"No! Chris, you are so bad. That's mine." Diane raised her head, and the feeling of shame had been replaced by anger.

Emily laughed and secretly gave Chris a thumbs-up.

Afraid that Diane would be shy again, Aaron covered his mouth with his hand and laughed silently.

Derek looked at Aaron. Ever since he met Emily, Aaron smiled more often than he ever did.

Ian asked Diane curiously, "How does it feel to be in Mommy's arms?"

"You'll know it if you hug your mommy." Diane's face was still a little red. Ian's question made her a little unhappy.

"I don't want to hug Rose." Diane's words hit Ian's sore spot and he was unhappy.

"Why are you being so tough on me? I don't want to talk to you anymore." Diane turned her head angrily.

"I don't want to talk to you either." Ian turned his head to the other side.

  "Ian," Derek warned Ian.

Ian didn't respond to Derek. He felt wronged and thought, 'I don't like Rose. Why is Daddy mad at me? He is so annoying.'

"Ian, Rose and I are sisters. You can hug me and feel it." Emily couldn't bear to see Ian cry. After all, the children were innocent.

Ian immediately turned around and hugged Emily. Emily could feel the little hand holding her neck trembling. Tears were dripping down her neck, and she caressed Ian's head lovingly.

After a while, Ian let go of Emily. When he raised his head, no one else could see that he had just cried.

"Emily smells good and it's comfortable in her arms," Ian said to Diane.

Diane raised her chin proudly. "Of course. My mommy is the best in the world. I forgive you now."

She and Ian had just quarreled a few minutes ago, but now they had made up and played hand-in-hand.

"Do you want to eat something?" Emily felt awkward as Derek watched her. Derek often had a cold face, and no one could guess what he was thinking.

"It's OK." Derek looked at the table and knew that there was not enough food for them. Aaron and Ian should have eaten Emily's food just now. Derek came over on a whim and did not expect that it was time for lunch. He thought that he was not considerate enough, so his expression got gloomier.

Emily noticed Derek's expression and didn't know why he suddenly became angry. She couldn't help thinking, 'What a moody man!'

Derek lowered his head and sent a message. Soon, someone knocked on the door again. Several people walked in with food. Hamburgers, stakes, ham, sausages, and other food filled the table.

"So much food! They are enough for ten people to eat!" Emily's eyes widened. Was Derek's in such an appetite?

The shock in Emily's eyes was obvious. Derek straightened his clothes and cursed his assistant, Eric, in his heart.

"The extra food is for the other staff members," Derek explained.

Aaron ran to Emily and sat down. Emily helped him get the food. Chris rolled his eyes at Aaron in disdain.

"I miss you," Aaron said to Emily. His eyes were filled with Emily's reflection.

"Aaron wants to see you very much. Ian had never been to the studio and also wanted to come, so I brought them here," Derek explained.

"But we still have to continue shooting in the afternoon..." Emily said awkwardly.

"It doesn't matter. They won't disturb you. The shooting will go on as usual," Derek said. He wasn't a person who would mess up the work with personal matters.

  Then, Derek's phone rang.

"What's the matter, Eric? Okay, I'll be right there," he answered the phone.

Derek hung up the phone and stood up. "Emily, please help me take care of Aaron and Ian. I have something to do and need to go out for a while. Just let them play in the lounge. I'll be back before you get off work."

Derek seemed busy, so Emily had no choice but to agree.

"You two, be obedient," Derek said to Aaron and Ian.

Then, he pushed the door open and walked out.

Not long after the four children finished their lunch, the break ended. Emily asked them to clean up the trash before assigning tasks to each of them.

  "Diane," Emily said.

  "I'm here," Diane replied.

"Come with me to complete the shooting." Emily assigned the task.

"Okay, Mommy." Diane puffed out her chest.

Emily turned to the three boys and said, "You guys can use the tablet or play games in the lounge. I will check on you during the break. There are drinks and snacks in the room. If anything happens, tell me immediately, understand?"

"Okay, Mommy." "Okay, Emily," The three boys also puffed out their chests and replied.

"I hope we can finish the task perfectly," Emily said with a smile.

The five of them clapped at each other, looking like a family.
