Revenge with My Quadruplets

Chapter 21

Chapter 21

"I'm here to solve the problem for the Hopkinson Group. Didn't you know that?" Emily said calmly.

Laura looked at Emily in disgust. "What are you doing here under disguise? You cracked the virus so quickly. Were you behind this?"

Rose mocked Emily, "How dare you come here? I'm the one making the final call."

"You will know what I want to do later. Now you should deliver your promise," Emily retorted Rose.

Rose was worried and had no intention of doing so. The person who raised the request could be anyone but Emily.

She couldn't help but complain about Derek in her heart. If Derek hadn't refused her request for help, she wouldn't have had any other choice, and Emily couldn't take the opportunity to crack the virus.

"Peter, please go out, all of you." Laura drove everyone out.

The others felt the change in the situation. They didn't want to know these secrets. After all, the less they knew, the safer they would be. No one knew what would happen to the upper-class families. They were just nobody, and playing safe was enough for them.

Emily didn't stop them from leaving. Even if no one was willing to be the witness, she could make Laura and Rose fulfill their promise.

Soon, only the three were left in the conference room.

Emily looked at Laura. "You don't want to fulfill your promise, do you?"

Laura smiled and slowly walked to the chair. Then she pulled the chair out and sat down.

"Emily, you made Bennett so mad that he fell sick. Then, you went missing without saying anything. What contributions have you made to this family?" Laura said.

Laura was an eloquent woman. She managed to take the moral high ground as she spoke. Looking at the silent Emily, Laura continued, "Besides, Bennett didn't make you his heir."

Emily looked at her. "Well, are you saying that you are his heir?"

Emily turned to look at Rose and mocked her, "Bennett wouldn't choose Rose, either. She's too stupid."

Rose was so angry that she couldn't speak.

"Rose, come here and sit down. You're a lady. Don't be mad at a woman with a tarnished reputation." Laura glanced at Emily.

Rose walked over and sat next to Laura.

Then, Emily walked to the chair closest to her and sat down.

Emily knew that the conversation had just begun.

"Emily, you might not know this, but after you went missing, Bennett disowned you, and there were witnesses. You have no right of inheritance," Laura said proudly.

Emily tried so hard to get into the company, only because she wanted Bennett's legacy. Laura said that to make Emily give up.

"I know," Emily said as she glanced at Laura.

"That's impossible. How did you know about this?" Laura was shocked.

After Emily left the Hopkinson's she was just an ordinary woman. Where did she get such confidential information?

  Did Bennett contact Emily secretly?

But Bennett was determined at that time.

Laura thought a lot in her heart. Then, she calmed down.

"Since you know that you are not the heir, what do you want now?" Laura frowned. She didn't understand Emily's purpose.

"Well, just look at that." Emily pointed at the monitor above her head.

Laura and Rose gazed at the camera, and then it moved up and down as if it was greeting them.

Laura suddenly got up. The chair scraped against the ground with a rasping sound.

"What do you want?" Laura's expression changed.

"Don't be nervous. You are an upper-class lady, so, watch your manners," Emily retorted.

Emily watched Laura sit down again, but she was no longer as calm as before.

Now, Emily was at an advantage.

"The surveillance footage doesn't mean anything. You broke the law by hacking a company's surveillance system. We can just say that the video is edited," Rose said angrily.

Emily shrugged. "Maybe. I am not threatening you. It was only for evidence. After all, you've broken your promise so many times. So, I'm scared."

Though Emily said so, she didn't look scared at all and smiled at Rose.

Rose hated that smile and wished that she could scratch Emily's face and make her disappear.

"Rose, call the bodyguards and get Emily out. She will be responsible for her actions." Laura was done talking to Emily.

Rose got up and walked out of the conference room. She called in the bodyguard standing at the door.

"Laura, you don't understand what I mean." Emily wasn't afraid. She raised the flash drive in her hand. "Do you think the virus has been completely removed?"

Laura's face darkened. She leaned forward and intended to snatch it.

To her surprise, Emily didn't dodge and let her have it, which puzzled her. Laura looked at the flash drive in her hand doubtfully.

"It's useless now. Just keep it if you want it," Emily said with a smile.

  Laura had a bad feeling.

"Let it begin," Emily suddenly said.

Rose was confused. Who was Emily talking to?

Then, she knew that Emily was speaking to her accomplice who was manipulating the monitor.

The data, which had just been recovered, was again transformed into images of monkeys.

  "Aren't they cute?" Emily smiled.

"The monkey virus has been cracked. Even if it appears again, we can find someone to remove it." Rose looked at Emily's hateful smiling face.

"Is that so? Do you think you can use the same method to crack it again? Maybe it'll appear that way, but in fact, it has been in the computer system all the time." Emily revealed a bigger smile.

"What do you want?" Laura asked.

Emily knew that she had won.

Just as she was about to speak, Laura interrupted, "You can never obtain the right of inheritance."

Emily leaned back in her chair. "I know you can't let go of the right of inheritance. That's not what I want. Instead, I want to work in the Hopkinson Group." It was a condition Emily had conceived long before.

Laura frowned. Although she didn't want Emily to work in the Hopkinson Group, it was a much simpler request.

Laura didn't dare to agree. She looked at Emily doubtfully.

Emily lowered her head, so Laura couldn't see her expression.

After a while, Laura said, "We don't have a position for you in the headquarters."

"I want to be the CEO of the branch company," Emily said.

"You bitch! You're going too far," Rose said.

"Shut up. Watch your tone, or I'll teach you how to speak politely in front of your mother," Emily said fiercely.

"You can't be the CEO of the branch. But I can offer you the position as the director." Laura bargained.

  "No problem," Emily agreed.

At this time, Laura realized that Emily's goal was not to be the CEO. She had always wanted to be the director, and she made the other request deliberately.

Laura didn't expect Emily to become so scheming after just a few years.

Since she had agreed to it, she continued, "Good. But I need to make some arrangements within the branch company first. You can't work there yet. I'll tell you when it's ready."

Rose wanted to retort, but she was stopped by Laura's gaze.

"Rose, Emily is raising two kids on her own. It must be hard for her. She's one of us after all, so let's help her." Laura stared at Rose and said.

  Rose no longer objected.

After the discussion, Emily was about to leave.

"Wait a minute, what about the virus?" Laura stopped her.

"What virus? It's just a video." Emily smiled as she opened the door and walked out.
