Revenge with My Quadruplets

Chapter 16

Chapter 16

After a few days, Emily recovered.

Because she was sick, she didn't go to see Aaron this week. Instead, she asked Derek to leave over the phone.

That afternoon, a car suddenly stopped outside Emily's house.

Derek and Aaron got out of it.

Emily opened the door and was surprised to see Derek.

"Derek? Why are you here? How did you know my address?" Emily asked.

"Well, that's easy for me." Derek did not answer Emily directly.

"Indeed, why would I ask?" Emily shrugged.

Aaron pulled Emily's clothes, and she crouched down. "Welcome, Aaron."

"I missed you," Aaron said as he looked at Emily.

Aaron stared at Emily attentively and affectionately.

Emily held his hand and led him to the sofa.

"You didn't come as we agreed. Aaron was very disappointed, so I brought him to you," Derek explained.

  Emily nodded.

"Aaron, do you want some orange juice?" Emily asked gently.

  Aaron nodded.

"Mommy, who is it?" Diane's happy voice sounded.

She pulled Chris down the stairs.

She was very happy to see Derek and Aaron because she liked Aaron a lot. Though she was a chatty girl, Aaron would always listen to her and wouldn't think she was being noisy.

"Mommy, can I take Aaron to see my dolls?" Diane took Aaron's hand, and she couldn't wait to show Aaron her toys.

Derek looked at Diane holding Aaron's hand. Aaron did not refuse her, which was a good sign.

He remembered that the doctor had said that since Aaron was very dependent on Emily, letting him interact more with her would help him recover.

Derek felt that bringing Aaron to Emily was the right decision.

  "Go ahead, Aaron." Derek agreed.

  Aaron looked at Emily.

"Aaron, Diane likes you very much. You can go play," Emily said with a smile.

Diane held Aaron's left hand while Chris held his right one. The three children cheerfully ran upstairs to share their toys.

Emily and Derek were on the first floor, and they could hear the kids' joyful laughter.

Happy times always passed quickly. Derek was ready to take Aaron away.

Aaron released Derek's hand. He walked over to Emily and held her hand.

Emily couldn't help laughing. She looked down at Aaron.

"Aaron, you should go home with Derek. Ian is still waiting for you at home." Emily tried to persuade Aaron.

Aaron was silent for a few seconds before he shook his head.

Emily looked at Derek with pleading eyes.

Derek walked over and crouched in front of Aaron.

"Aaron, do you want to stay here?" Derek knew Aaron very well.

Aaron nodded. He grabbed Emily's hand even tighter, as if afraid that Derek would take him away.

Derek and Emily looked at each other in surprise.

"Aaron, what if I don't agree?" Derek knew that he had to speak to Aaron in a more equal manner.

Aaron pursed his lips and lowered his eyes from Derek.

Derek understood that Aaron was unwilling to leave.

"Emily will come to our home in a few days. Let's go back now," Derek sighed.

  Aaron glanced at Derek aggrievedly.

  Derek's lips were tightly pursed.

From their looks, the father and son had the same little habits.

Emily looked at the stubborn father and son. She didn't want to get involved at first, but Aaron was a cute boy. She couldn't help saying, "Derek, let Aaron stay here tonight. I'll send him back tomorrow. Chris and Diane both like him very much and won't bully him."

Derek was silent for a few seconds, and then he looked at Aaron again.

"Aaron, are you sure you want to sleep here tonight?" Derek asked Aaron again.

Aaron looked at Derek and nodded.

"Please take care of Aaron tonight. I'll pick him up tomorrow morning," Derek said to Emily.

In fact, he was not at ease with Aaron staying here. Although Aaron trusted her, Aaron was the heir of the Scott family, so many ill-intentioned people may approach Aaron. Moreover, since Aaron and Ian had been found, they had never slept outside. Derek was a little worried.

However, Aaron was very determined. Derek would try to believe in Aaron's choice, hoping that everything would become better.

Derek sat in the car and looked out the window. Emily and the kids stood at the door, waving at Derek.

Derek rolled down the window and nodded at Emily.

Looking at the house behind him, Derek didn't know how he felt right now. This was the first time Aaron had left him. Derek believed that Emily wouldn't hurt Aaron, but Aaron didn't hesitate to choose Emily and abandon him. It made Derek a little angry.

Meanwhile, Emily brought the three children back into the house.

Derek's gaze reminded her of that night when she got pregnant with the four babies in her belly.

Emily shook her head. She couldn't let her imagination run wild. Derek was Rose's fiance and had nothing to do with her.

"Let's have some pasta tonight, okay?" Emily asked.

Unexpectedly, Chris, Aaron, and Diane enjoyed the same food. They all liked pasta with tomato sauce.

Emily knew that Aaron had mysophobia, so she made Aaron's pasta alone and didn't mix it with the others'. And she let Aaron watch her clean the tableware.

Aaron smiled at Emily when he saw how attentive Emily was. At that moment, Emily felt that Aaron was adorable and couldn't help rubbing his head.

"Mommy, I want you to touch my head too." Diane was a little jealous.

Chris walked over to Emily and looked up at her silently. Although he didn't say anything, his meaning was very obvious.

Emily smiled and stroked the heads of the three children before they were satisfied.

After dinner, the four of them lay down on the sofa and watched cartoons. They had a great time today. Aaron, Chris, and Diane were a little tired. They started to doze off.

"I'll help you guys take a shower before you go to bed, okay?" Emily pinched Diane's face.

Chris pouted. Emily kissed him. "I'll help Chris take a shower first today."

Chris lowered his head in embarrassment. He knew that his mother had seen through his thoughts. Although he liked Aaron very much, Chris was a little unhappy that Aaron wanted to take his mother away from him.

"I'll help you, Mommy. I'll take Aaron to have a shower." After Chris finished speaking, he pulled Aaron to the bathroom.

"Chris, bring Aaron to choose his pajamas first," Emily said.

Half an hour later, the three children appeared in front of Emily in identical pajamas.

"Let's sleep together today." Emily dried their hair for them.

The three children were very happy and threw themselves onto the bed. They resembled each other. When they wore the same pajamas, they looked like triplets.

Aaron quickly fell asleep. He could not help smiling. The corners of his mouth curled up.

"Mommy," Aaron said in his dream.
