Chapter 47. A NEW BEGINNING

I heard him say.

It's been over a week since Adrian confessed his feelings to me and we have been trying to get to know one another.

Unlike the other time when he asked us to be friends, now it's different.

We still have our respective rooms but now, he tries to get me even involved in a lot in his life while I also talk to him too.

We've gone out on dates, had fun, watched movies, and teased one another.

It felt nice really warming up to him and so far he has been respectful to me.

There were times we almost kissed but he pulled back at the last minute which made me wonder why but I never questioned him.

"Hi," Adrian said as soon as I let him into my room.

"Hi," I replied.

"What brings you to my room?" I asked him.

"I didn't tell you this because I just got told last night and I didn't want to wake up. I am going on a business trip for two weeks but I'd try my best to finish everything up and return to you," he informed me and I felt my stomach sink.

"You are leaving? Like right now?" I asked him and he nodded his head.

"Yes, I am leaving. Like I said it was last night I got the call," he said and I sighed.

It's just been a week and it seemed like I've gotten so used to him that having him gone for that long was affecting me.

I am the clingy type and that's why until now, I still miss Sarah when it's not like she died.

"Okay," I replied not knowing what to say.

"Hey, are you okay?" Adrian asked and I'm guessing he said that because of my facial expression which I'm sure was giving me away that I wasn't happy about this news.

He curled his index finger under my chin, lifting my face so that we would be staring at each other.

"I'm not going to stay that long. I promise to call you all of the time. I also do not like that I am leaving you here or do you want to go with me?" He suggested and my eyes widened.

"You... Want me to go with you? I mean you are going there for business and I do not want to cause any hindrance for you. I mean..." I trailed off when I saw him smile.

"What?" I asked him.

"Hindrance? Do you think you will be a hindrance? We are just getting to know one another and this is another beautiful experience for us. I mean we never went on our honeymoon. I have been avoiding that since but this could be an opportunity for us. We can explore around and then have more time to ourselves, what do you say?" He asked.

His idea wasn't really bad.

"It's a business trip for you and it can't be our honeymoon," I told him.

"Of course, it won't be our honeymoon. It will just be a pre-honeymoon," he said and I chuckled.

"That's not a bad idea. I didn't pack or do anything and I look..." I said, looking at myself in my pajamas.

"That's not a problem. Just wash your face and put on any outfit. The rest will be taken care of. You do not have to do anything," he told me and I furrowed my brows in confusion.

"What do you mean?" I asked him.

"We will go shopping there. We are going to Istanbul. We will go shopping there and have a lot of fun. Turkey is a beautiful country and after my business meeting, we can stay an extra week, what do you think?"

I like his idea. Goodness, it's like I'm getting more and more hypnotized by him.

Every time I look into his s eyes, my heart flutters and his smile makes me go crazy. I was falling more and more for him.

The way he speaks to me and how he takes care of me felt so nice. I didn't know having someone would be this nice.

I mean with him at first, it was bad but now it's different.

"Okay. I will quickly wash off," I told him.

"Have you packed?" I asked him while running to the bathroom.

"Yes. Everything is packed already. I just need you and we will leave for the airport," he said.

"How many minutes do I have?" I asked him before I began to brush my teeth.

"You have just fifteen minutes," he replied.

"We have to get to the airport in less than an hour so you have fifteen minutes," he clarified.

That fifteen-minute was enough for me to brush and take my bath.

I was able to brush and take my bath in a jiffy. I didn't even both trying to search for clothes as I just put on the first clothes I saw.

"How long did I take," I asked him as I tye my hair in a bun.

He chuckled before glancing at his wristwatch. "Exactly fifteen minutes. I must give it to you. Most ladies won't use that fifteen minutes to do all of this," he said and I smiled.

"I guess I'm not most ladies," I told her and he nodded his head.

"Of course, you are not because you are my lady," he said and I blushed, feeling my stomach rumble in joy.

"Shall we?" He said and I walk in front of him with him behind me.

"Wait a minute," Adrian said and I halted on my track.

"What is it?" I asked him.

He came and stood in front of him. I thought he was going to hug me for some second until I felt something cold around my neck.

It's a necklace. A heart necklace that was customized with the acronym A and S was in the heart.

"A as for Adrian and S as for Sophia?" I asked and he smiled at me.

"Yes. I want you to have it around you all the time," he said and I smiled.
