Chapter 20 THE REASON

Mr. Brian, a close client of mine disclosed that Seth Cox is going to every place he could to get help so that he would pay back the investors and save his company.

Mr. Brian told me that Seth Cox only cares about being wealthy but he doesn't want to take the necessary process to be wealthy.

Some days later the news came out and the investors threatened to arrest and throw his family in jail if he doesn't give them back their money. He came to my grandfather and my grandfather saw that as a perfect opportunity to get one of his daughters as my bride.

"It's easy. First, he would get someone to kill you and then me and because I am married to his child, she gets the company and he takes over, that's it," I said and my grandfather burst into a fit of laughter.

"Do I look like someone that would die easily? I mean a lot of people have attempted to do that but did they succeed?" My grandfather rose his brows in a questioning manner.

"Because they never succeeded in the past doesn't mean they won't one day. A lot of people envy us and they want put conglomerate and you think they won't go to any measures to get it?" I clicked my tongue, clasping my hands.

"I will be wary of them but you have to get married and besides, you cannot bring down a mountain and we the Castillo's are mountains that cannot be brought that. I promised to protect you with my life Adrian and I won't fail and make sure to protect you just as I have promised your parents. I will take care of you even at the expense of my life. "
