Don't toy with me: sexiest man of the year

HOPEFUL DAY

HOPEFUL DAY

The next morning Angela woke up earlier, a little excited. She was filled with hope about meeting Antonio again. According to Yuki, if she could meet him with Hinata absent, they will have a chance. So she decided to start the day on a positive note. She slipped out of her bed, careful not to wake the house and cleaned up the whole house, in case he decides to visit the family. After the house was sparkling clean, she went straight to the kitchen humming music. She decided to make all their favorites: fluffy scrambled eggs, perfectly golden pancakes, crispy bacon, and a fresh fruit salad with strawberries, blueberries, and slices of orange. For Junior, she made his favorite oatmeal, sweetened with a bit of honey and topped with cinnamon. Once the breakfast was ready, she set the table. The sight of the table, so beautifully prepared by her, made her smile with satisfaction. "The kids are going to be so happy, I made their favorites... I can't thank those Angels enough". She giggled and then headed to the kids' rooms, starting with the twins. She gently nudged Lia first then leaned down to kiss her on the forehead. "Good morning, my love," she whispered. Lia stirred, blinking awake. "Mom?" she said, still groggy but noticing the unusual softness in Angela's tone. "Is something up?" Angela only smiled and shook her head. "Just wanted to wake you up with a kiss, again...yesterday you know... I was a bit moody". She said and left Lia curious but too sleepy to ask more. She did the same with Liya, who grumbled something about wanting more sleep but couldn't hide her surprise at her mom's affectionate wake-up. Angela had always been loving to them, but today, there was an extra spark in her actions, not to mention. After waking her teenage twins, Lia and Liya, with kisses, she made her way to her youngest child, Junior. The four-year-old was still curled up in bed, clutching his favorite stuffed toy, a Spider-Man. Angela smiled at him and leaned down to plant a gentle kiss on his cheek. Junior stirred and opened his eyes, immediately smiling at the sight of his mother. "Antonio Junior". She softly whispered his name. "Mommy!" he exclaimed, wrapping his small arms around her neck. "Good morning, my little man". Angela replied and carried him downstairs to the kitchen, where she had already set the breakfast table. Each plate was carefully arranged with scrambled eggs, toast, fresh fruit, and pancakes with syrup. The twin's favorite. Angela placed Junior in his high chair and began to cut his pancakes into small, manageable pieces. "Here you go, sweetie," she said, holding a forkful of pancake up to his mouth. Junior eagerly took a bite, his face lighting up with delight. As she continued to feed Junior, Lia and Liya entered the kitchen, still somewhat in disbelief at their mother's sudden change in mood. They quickly exchanged glances and communicated silently. As they all sat down to eat, Lia couldn't hold back her curiosity any longer. "Mom, you seem really happy today," she said, eyeing her mother carefully as she sipped on a glass of orange juice. "Did something happen?" Liya, always the more direct of the two cuts in. "Mom," she began cautiously, "You're in a really good mood today. What's going on?" Angela smiled at her daughter, her eyes twinkling with a secret she wasn't ready to share. "If this works out. Imagine their faces when they see Antonio again. Although they would be more happy to see their uncle Jace. Until now, I haven't said anything about it to them, and they must've been tired of along questions. Even about Kerry, my poor babies". She paused abruptly. "No, don't think about it, don't ruin the mood". She said to herself and looked up at them, smiling broadly. "I just woke up feeling good today, that's all". She replied, picking up a piece of fruit from her plate. Lia wasn't convinced. "But why? Yesterday you were so... different," she pressed gently. Angela simply shrugged, a smile tugging at her lips. "You know, sometimes a good night's sleep changes everything". Liya joined in, eyeing her mom with suspicion... "You're not telling us something," she said, half-joking, half-serious. Angela chuckled, enjoying their reactions. As they ate, the twins kept throwing curious glances her way, trying to decipher the reason behind her sudden happiness. But Angela was careful not to reveal too much. She wanted to keep the surprise, after all she is still unsure how Antonio will truly react after she tells him everything about them and about Junior. She smiled at Junior, who seemed uninterested in their conversation, happily munching on his oatmeal.
