Don't toy with me: sexiest man of the year

CHAPTER 17

CHAPTER 17

(BRAVE ONE)

Grandma Elizabeth smiled warmly at him with a pat on his back, then she looked and met Angela’s heavily filled eyes, who was staring at her unaware of the uncontrollable tears streaming down her own face.

She smiled warmly then back to Antonio, she hit him hard on the back.

“Get up, stop acting like I’m going to die tonight” she said calmly to him.

“Damn you.”

Antonio snapped and stood to his feet.

He went back to his sitting position, he took a cigarette, with a heavy sigh, he leaned back on the couch and tilted his head up with his eyes closed, releasing a cloud of smoke.

“You know even if you wake up and I am no more, believe me you won’t feel so alone anymore, she’s here with you”.

Grandma Elizabeth said to him.

“Shut up old whore” he replied in a tone mixed with disgust and fury.

Angela was more triggered than ever.

“Old whore? For crying out loud, she is your…”

Grandma Elizabeth shook her head and smiled at her.

“Don't…”.

She mouthed inaudibly.

Elizabeth's angry eyes went back to him, Antonio took a long pull from his huge cigar stick and exhaled the cloud of smoke out.

“Got something to say Freckles?”

He stood up and walked towards her, at a speed that gave her weak legs.

“I…I don't”.

She sobbed.

He stood towering above her, Angela avoided his eyes. They were hot enough to burn her before his actual torture began.

“You were about to say some shit ain't you?”

“Antonio, cut it out, you are scaring her…what's your problem?”

“She doesn't look scared, she was about to scold me, isn't it sweet?”

He grabbed her arm so tight, she was holding back her tears not to make his grandma suspicious of the pain being afflicted to her.

“Tell me what you wish to say a minute ago, come on we are lovers ain't we? I cannot harm you baby”.

She looked up at him, grinning at her.

There were traces of wet tears on his cheeks, did he cry for his grandmother no…maybe her eyes were deceiving her. This monster…Even his grin was enough warning to Angela, it was nowhere past his teeth, those eyes had no idea about his grinning lips.

“I…I…”

He pulled her towards him and kissed her again.

This time it was as if he was actually trying to unalive her from his kiss.

She was trying to pull away but his huge hand on her back was pressing her hard against him.

His lips devoured hers, dominating her mouth, and claiming her as his. His lips were hard but warm forcing hers to soften against his. He bit at her lips making her open her mouth to his so he could dip his tongue inside.

His tongue probed hers and wiggled around every corner. She tried to struggle; she couldn’t let him take her.

How could he be so disrespectful in front of his grandmother?

The front door opened and her maid walked in with her specialist doctor.

They froze for a minute watching the hot kiss.

Until Antonio piercing eyes caught them off guard.

He released Angela, who stood frozen at the spot regretting the day she said yes to this man.

“What are you looking at? Get to work!”

His voice hollered and walked back to his seat.

"Emm..memm..”

The doctor stuttered and turned to his grandmother.

“How are you feeling now, Ma'am?"

She asked for any complications.

"I am alright doctor, once I am done with them I will get back to you".

Grandma informed the doctor.

"Thanks sweet heavens, I was worried when I got Mr Antonio's call, I will be waiting".

The doctor replied and bowed before leaving the room. The female servant followed.

After the door was shut.

Grandma Elizabeth turned to Angela.

“Come here honey".

Angela blinked as if she just gained back her consciousness, a pace forward she noticed her leg was heavy, slowly she kept walking until she got to her.

Grandma Elizabeth took her hands and squeezed them gently, Angela felt a motherly warmth in them. She could also see the love and care in her bright green eyes as she began to speak to her.

“I am glad you are worried for my sake, you even cried, I didn’t expect such emotion from someone who barely knows me”.

That doesn’t make any sense, she is a woman with a large ocean heart, who can win anyone's heart in less than a minute with her kindness, no one can resist feeling the same for her, Angela thought.

Aurora scuffed out a sigh that was neither a cry or a laughter, she wrapped her hands around grandma Elizabeth and hugged her, sobbing loudly.

Antonio gave them a side glance and thought to himself.

“What is that bitch up to, acting like she gave a damn about Grandma's health, she knows quite well that if she is dead she will leave my life for good, seems like the bitch is more interested in me than I thought…however…”

He paused and clenched his fist.

“What the hell was Grandma doing? Scaring me like that…I almost break down in front of that low class girl…”.

He stood up and walked straight to his private bar and got a bottle of whisky.

“I know it's hard to deal with Antonio, but believe me…he is not as bad as you think" Mama Elizabeth said to her softly.

Of course he is way worse than I think, I am sure you know not a half of his atrocities..you know not half of it, he is even in his best character In Front of you!

Angela yelled in her head.

Angela nodded.

"Antonio That’s enough already, stop pouring out your anger in that glass".

Grandma yelled at him then she shook her head vehemently, "Dealing with him is literally harder than dealing with five stubborn kids".

The sound of the glass dropped on the centre table was loud, attracting their attention towards him.

“That’s it, let's get you to the room for your medicals”.

Antonio said tightly and walked towards them with a frown.

"I will see you tomorrow dear" Mama Elizabeth waved at Angela.

A female servant opened the door, bowed and pulled her wheelchair out of the room.

Angela stood like a statue for minutes not knowing what to do or say until the door slammed shut.

She wondered how the story could've ended if Grandma Elizabeth had died that instant.

Her freedom will be granted that instant but….. yet…yet … Why does she feel bad and hurt thinking about it?

It's so complicated!

A hot air was exhaled from her slim nostrils.

Why do good people always have a little time with their loved ones, no issue if it was to be that brat instead of her in that wheelchair, she thought.

The memory of her mother crossed her mind, hot tears streamed down her face as if her thought had bursted the seal of her once endless tears.
