Was He Your First?
Nalya
I sat on the floor, hands on my face. Not knowing the next thing to do. Kiyana got on her knees and wrapped her arms around me. She kissed my hair and said, "Nalya, I know you're scared but you'll be fine. I promise you. I'll be here for you, and I know Azura will be too,"
Kiyana was serious and determined. I'd never seen her like this before.
"We'll work hard, and by the time the baby gets here, we'll be more stable," she said. She helped me to my feet, and we went home. I lay on the bed and touched my stomach. Rhaegar's baby was growing inside me. I texted this to Azura, and she flipped, calling me immediately.
"You're carrying the future Prince or Princess of the werewolf race. You have to come back here!" she said.
"No, I won't. I don't care about werewolf hierarchy," I told her.
"You don't understand the danger you can be in if anyone found this out. Prince Rhaegar has enemies, and those people would use you and that baby to hurt him, Nalya,"
"No one else knows except you. Please, Azura, you can't tell anyone," I begged. She stayed silent.
"The Silvius bloodline is strong. Any alpha wolf will know," She was worried.
"That's why I'm in a human town," I said.
"If you choose to do this without Prince Rhaegar you are resigning to a life on the run, on the run from people who will want that baby to use against MY pack," she growled. This was new for me. Azura had never growled at me or shown any animosity.
"Please, you can't say anything about this,"
I convinced Azura not to say a word about my pregnancy, and she gave me her word.
I regretted telling her. I could tell she was scared. I must admit I often forgot what Rhaegar was to the werewolf race. He was their Prince, the most powerful wolf alive, and that came with enemies.
I sighed as I looked in the mirror and touched my tummy. The doctor said it would be visible at four to five months old. I went to the kitchen to grab some coffee, but Kiyana gave me a stink eye.
"No coffee," she warned.
"I always forget," I giggled and drank some juice.
The week has been alright, but I occasionally got sick. I fell sick occasionally but that didn't disrupt my work.
During our break, Boss Van arrives,
"Nalya, someone requests you on table five,"
I sighed and walked up to table five. I stopped when I saw who was sitting at the table.
Alpha Thorn.
He was as elegant as ever in a suit. He smiled as I walked to him.
"You are good at hiding," he said, standing up.
"Alpha Layth- How?" I asked.
"I was determined," he said, embracing me kindly, and I felt him kiss my forehead. I pulled away from him.
"How have you been, Nalya?" he asked.
"I've been well, thank you," I said.
"I missed you," he said. He sniffed the air and looked at me with a frown.
"The perfume you're wearing is quite ... interesting. Strong yet so minimal," he mumbled to himself the last part. Was my scent changing because of the baby? He shook his head and held my hands.
"Why didn't you come to my pack when you left Autumn Moon?" he asked gently, putting a strand of hair behind my hair, and flashes of him kissing me came to mind. I stepped away.
"I wanted to be away from anything wolf-related... Um, can I get your order?" I said.
"I didn't come here to eat food," the way he said it made it all wrong.
"Where are you staying?" he said quickly.
"You located me here and not my home address?" I asked, incredulous.
"How stupid of me,"
Alpha Layth ended up staying until my shift finished. He was ordering so many different things that he didn't touch.
"Babe, who's that man?" Kiyana whispered in my ear, eye fucking him.
"An acquaintance," I brushed her off with the response.
"Is he the baby daddy?" she asked, following me around. I covered her mouth with my hands. No one at work knew of my condition and intended on keeping it that way for a long time.
"No, and I'll go home with him since you have a date," I said.
After my work shift, Alpha Layth drove me home and got my phone number. He attempted to kiss me before he left, but I was quick to move out of the way, and he ended up kissing my cheek.
Alpha Layth called and texted me often. I got used to talking to him every day. We went out for breakfast two days ago. He asked me to be his girlfriend, but I wasn't ready for that in my life right now it felt nice that he was pursuing me. I had not yet told him about my pregnancy.
"You're so glowing!" Kiyana said, eating a plum sexily. I shook my head. This girl was by far the most promiscuous person I knew.
"How was the party?" I asked.
"It was great, and I had sex with the host," she shrugged, putting her feet on my lap. I turned off the TV and looked at her.
"No, that was-"
"A big mistake, I know, he only looked hot, but he is terrible in bed... When will I find someone I'm sexually compatible with?!" she complained. If she were a werewolf, I'd suggest she waits for her soulmate.
"Did you pretend to like it again?" I giggled.
"I couldn't even fake it. It was that bad,"
I remembered the times Rhaegar made love to me so fiercely and wholly. It was always so good and satisfying. My body was getting hot at the memory, and I smiled.
"You're blushing, you naughty girl,"
"I'm not!"
She eyed me, and I threw a pillow at her in embarrassment.
"I just thought of someone,"
"Was he your first?"
