Derick's POV

Everything in me was screaming for me to stop the car, but I totally ignored, and drove off.

I watched her through my reverse mirror and noticed she was still walking like a lost Lamb, lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice when I drove pass her.

I took in a deep breath and kept on driving while my wolf kept howling in anger.

''What the hell is your fucking problem.'' I yelled to my wolf

''You are supposed to be inactive to charms and spell, but here you are, acting like a dog.'' I spoke angrily.

My wolf growled in anger and shut himself away from me

''Better.'' I sighed and kept driving, I drove out of Agora town, passed Emma's town before I got to the venue of the meeting which was held at the fearless pack.

I parked inside the mansion that belongs to the Alpha of the fearless Pack. I came out of my car and saw a servant lowered his head

''Welcome alpha Derick, please let me show you the way.'' I followed him as he led the way.

We passed a few rooms, before he opened the door of a room and stood aside for me to walk in.

I stepped into the room and the door was shut from behind by the servant.

I walked into the room and noticed the seats were arranged in a circle and four alphas were seated already.

Without being told, I walked up to the empty seat and sat on it without saying a word to anyone.

''As usual, you will always want to show yourself, since your father has been in this meeting he always keeps to time but today is your first day here after coming back to California and you are already ten minutes late.'' Alpha Linus spoke angrily.

Hearing those words from him, I scoffed and chuckled softly before speaking up

''I'm not my father, you should start getting used to me because you will be seeing more of me.'' I spoke with a devilish smile on my face, which angered Linus the More.

''This is California, those over there might be scared of you but not me, I'm not scared of you and will never be.'' He spoke as he clenched his fist with anger.

I scoffed and chuckled softly before moving my gaze to him

''I don't exchange Words with servants…'' He did not let me finish before he stood up from his seat and groaned loudly

''You dare call me a servant.'' He yelled at the top of his voice

I scoffed and arranged my already scattered hair before speaking

''Everyone knew how you became an alpha, but I won't go into details…''

''Derick…'' He yelled but Emma's Father who was the eldest among us spoke up

''Stop this, both of you, stop it right now.'' Linus groaned angrily and walked back to his seat.

''This isn't over.'' He telepath those words to me

''And I'll be waiting.'' I replied

''You are alphas from well-respected packs, what do you think will happen if your subjects sees you behaving this way.'' Alpha Didimus finally spoke up.

The room was silent for a while before Emma's Father spoke up

''We are all here representing the five packs in California, and has the goddess will have it, we've been living in peace and harmony and I hope this continues even when I leave.'' We all heard him, but none of us said a word.

''As you all know, my son Elliot will be made alpha few days from today, and today might be my last day in your midst, so I want to set everything right before I leave.'' Everyone nodded their heads to his words apart from me.

Emma's Father took in a deep breath and continued

''We need a new leader amongst us, even though we are all alphas, it's a must that we have a leader amongst us, so today we are going to choose a new leader that will be fit to represent us in the world wolverine gathering. So, we are going to nominate, and I'll start by nominating alpha Derrick.'' The moment he said those words I heard whispers from alpha Linus and alpha Didiums while alpha Joshua was quiet as he was since I walked in.

''I knew you will nominate him since he is your soon-to-be in-law.'' Linus spoke with a soft groan

''Stop it Linus and make your own nomination.'' Emma’s father spoke angrily

Alpha Linus groaned softly but did not say a word

''I nominate alpha Linus.'' Alpha Didiums spoke up

''I nominate myself.'' Alpha Linus spoke up with raised shoulders, which I find ridiculous.

''I nominate alpha Derick.'' Alpha Joshua, who was the youngest among us, spoke up.

When I heard my name from him, I was a bit surprised Because we've never talked to each other before.

I noticed Linus groaned angrily at Joshua, but he totally ignored him and looked away.

''I nominate alpha Joshua.'' The moment I said those words, everyone eyed at me with shocked filled eyes because they were expecting me to nominate myself, which I didn't.

''It seems it's a tie between alpha Derick and Alpha Linus, and we all know what that means.''

''A fight will have to take place.'' Joshua spoke up happily, like he has been waiting for it.

''Bring it on.'' Linus spoke up without fear

Seeing his boldness I chuckled softly and shook my head

''Remember, you are not enemies so don't fight like one.'' Hearing those words from Emma's dad, I chuckled softly and shook my head, if only he knew the enmity that has existed between us, he wouldn't approve this fight.

''The fight should take place in my personal woods, it's at the back of my office.'' Alpha Diddums suggested

We all agreed to it and stood up from our seat.

Alpha Didimus led the way to his personal woods, which was surrounded with small Bushes and trees.

''Alpha Derick, please step forward.'' I left where I was standing and stood in the center,

''Alpha Linus, please step forward.'' He majestically left where he was standing and stood before me with anger burning eyes.

''I've been waiting for this moment for a long time.'' He telepath those words to me.
