HIS SECOND MATE

Breakfast

Derrick's POV

Angrily, I rubbed my hands on my face and groaned tiredly.

Leaving my bed, I walked into the bathroom, took off my Short and stood inside the cold shower.

Slowly I scrubbed my body while my wolf kept howling for her.

''Shut up.'' I murmured Angrily

My wolf was the talkative type, but since I came back to California he has been silent, and hardly speaks. He only howls, whispers, or groaned, but doesn't communicate with me even though I've been trying to communicate with him.

I left the shower, tied a towel around my waist before leaving the bathroom, I opened my closet and saw different color of shirt lined up.

Tiredly I picked up a Blue shirt, closed the closet and opened another closet which has my jeans lined up. Without choosing, I picked up a black jean and closed that closet. I went to my shoe rank and took out a black boots before placing them on bed.

''Mate.'' My wolf howled again, but I sighed heavily and totally ignored it.

I stood In front of the mirror and gently combed my hair, which was overgrown. I rubbed a body lotion produced by our family company before spraying a body spray on my body.

I walked back to my bed, picked up my underwear from the bed, put it on before going for the Jean and shirt.

I put on my clothes, sat on the bed and put on my boot before going back to the mirror.

I stared at myself one more time and realized I was ready to go, so I picked up my phones and left my room for the dining table for breakfast.

''Good morning Alpha.'' Servants greeted, and I nodded my head to their greetings.

I got to the dining and noticed father and James were already seated and having their breakfast.

''Oh, you finally came, I thought you won't make it for breakfast.'' Dad expressed those words like a tease which I totally ignored

I dragged out a seat kept for me and sat on it.

''Are you okay, you look angry, or is this your morning look.'' James asked with a soft chuckle,

I stared at him with a pale look before looking away. I noticed the seat Juliana usually sits on, was vacant, and I became curious

''Where is Juliana.'' I asked while placing an empty plate in front of me

''She went to the wolfly gathering.'' Dad replied

I nodded my head to his Words and dished some food in my plate before taking a spoon of it in my mouth.

''Juliana's mate will be coming here for an introduction of marriage with his family.'' Dad announced

''What date.''

''26th of this month.'' father replied

''Very well then, we will be expecting them.'' I spoke up as I slowly chewed

''When is Delilah coming back.'' James asked after my younger sister.

''She is with her mate in Australia, but they are not married yet, so I believe she will be here for the wolverine festival.'' Dad replied

''And when is that.'' James asked

''That should be by the end of next month after the full moon.''

James nods his head and went back to his food. We all ate silently until I stood up

''I have a meeting with the Wolfe and thereafter there is a meeting among all the alphas in California, so I'll take my leave. See you later, James.'' I walked away, not even allowing them to speak.

I left the dinning table and walked towards the big meeting hall in the mansion, which was beside my office.

I got to the entrance of the hall and saw my beta standing by the door.

''Welcome alpha, but it's still early, it's just a few minutes pass 9am.''

I totally ignored him and walked into the hall, as I stepped into the hall I noticed the hall was scanty and there were not up to twenty people in the hall.

With hastily footsteps, I walked towards my seat kept at the center of the hall.

Immediately, my subjects saw me, they lowered their heads in respect while I passed their seats.

I sat on my seat and relaxed on it while I tapped my left fingers on my laps with my gaze moving around.

I could hear soft whispering and murmuring as everyone was surprised to see me this early.

''Anthony.'' I called out to my beta who stood beside me

''What time did you say again.'' I asked even though I was aware of the Time

''10am.'' he replied

''Alright.'' I nodded my head and check my wristwatch, only to see that it was 9:20 am, and the hall was still scanty.

Groaning softly, I closed my eyes and mind link every male wolf in the park.

Being their alpha I could mind link with thousands of people so far as they were from my pack.

''You have ten minutes to be in the meeting hall or be ready to see the other side of me.'' I mind link those words to every male present in the pack, including the few ones that were already sitted in the hall.

I took in a deep breath and slowly opened my eyes before asking Anthony to take his seat in the front row.

Angrily, I Moved my gaze around and noticed Clinton was already sitted at the front seat, which was kept for my inner men.

We met eyes with each other, and he slightly lowered his head in respect.

I moved my gaze to the door as I noticed it was opened widely, and members of my pack came rushing in while sweating profusely, indicating there were running.

They met eyes with me, but quickly lowered their head in respect and rushed for a seat.

I sat there and watched as they kept rushing into the hall and quickly took their seat until the hall was filled.

I check my wristwatch and noticed it was already 9:45am

I moved my gaze around and noticed nobody wanted to meet eyes with me, apart from few of my inner men.

''Can we start now'', I spoke in a loud voice which echo in the room.
