Lost in Nature
Lost in Nature
(3rd person P.O.V)
The following day, Erika decided to wake up early in the morning to complete her remaining work before trying the method mentioned in the book to find Victor's whereabouts so that she didn't have to worry about the pending work if it took a long time to do that.
After lunch, she brings her mother-in-law Melisha to a corner to talk with her. Erika explains everything about the process and its consequence. She asks for help to guard her and wake her up if she feels something is wrong with her or feels that Erika is in danger.
Erika asks her to see a way to send Logan outside the castle for some work for 2 or 3 days. So that he does not worry about her, Melisha suggested that it would be a good idea to make some reason to leave the castle for work. Then drive Logan outside the castle and find a scheduled place to go through the process because if he wants, it will take little time for him to reach Erika and disturb her. Erika also agreed with her idea.
Erika told Meisha that she would create a magical space near the cherry tree outside their garden with a few rooms, a kitchen, and a garden. And ask her to bring a book with her to pass the time.
During dinner, Erika and Melisha informed their family that they were going out somewhere to work purpose and would be out for 3 to 4 days. Zack and Logan insist they will also go with them, but both refuse their offer. Then they insist that they bring at least Alex with them. Otherwise, they will not let them go outside. After some arguments, Erika and Melisha had no choice but to give up and allow Alex to go with them.
Alex and Melisha pack the needed things and follow Erika as she walks out of the castle. Alex was surprised when Erika brought both of them into her space. It was a small living room with T.V., bean bags, a table, chairs, and a couch, with two bedrooms, a garden, and a kitchen in it. Melisha chuckled, seeing Alex's reaction, and explained their reason for coming here, and Alex nodded his head in understanding, knowing how overprotective Logan was for his mate.
Alex and Melisha talked with each other or read the book they had brought. Erika put a barrier around her space and found a quiet place. She let Mika take control of her body and start meditating. It takes some time for her to empty her thoughts. When she feels closer to nature, she lets nature mix with her energy and tries to feel nature's energy.
Erika knew she had her family waiting for her, and she had the responsibilities she needed to perform. She feels like she is as light as a feather. She can also feel the life energy of all the living things surrounding her, from small insects and plants to the people around her. She feels like she doesn't want to do anything and stay like this becoming one with nature. But she knows that she can't do that.
She feels conflicted between her desire to be one with nature and performing her duties. In the end, her desire wins, and she feels like losing to the wilderness, but before she can lose herself completely, she feels someone punch her hard on her head and her concentration brokes.
Erika opened her eyes and saw Melisha with tears in her eyes. Erika did not waste a minute and tightly hugged her.
"What happened, mom? Why are you crying?" Erika asks as Melisha sobs in her arms while hugging her tightly as if she is afraid that Erika will disappear if she lets her go.
"While you were lost in meditation, we received a call from Dad that Logan felt like losing your connection with him and started panicking. He would have destroyed the castle in his demon form if dad had not stopped him on time. What happened?" Alex asks while trying to calm himself.
"I faced the consequences I have told you guys. I was so lost that I almost lost my desire to be one with nature that I almost lost myself in nature until mom woke me up," Erika said while caressing her mother's back with her hand to calm her down.
"Please be careful, Erica. We don't want to lose you," Melisha said, breaking the hug and wiping her tears.
"It's better if we call them and inform them that you are alright before he wakes up and destroys the castle," Alex said and dialed his father's phone number.
"It's almost time for dinner. I will go and cook something to eat for us," Melisha said and excused herself. Erika offered her help, but Melisha declined, saying that it would be better for her to talk with Logan and get some rest.
When Zack received the call and started talking with Erika, Logan woke up and stole the phone from her, bombarding her with questions and asking her to come back right away. It takes a lot of convincing and pressure from Erika's side and insurance from Alex to calm Logan down and let him allow them to stay outside for some more time.
After that, Erika walked to one of the rooms to calm herself down and walked inside the living room to have dinner. Then the three of them decided to take a walk in the garden to calm their frantic heart. After walking and talking with each other, they sit on a swing in the garden, lost in their own thought.
Melisha was tired, so she excused herself and went to her room. Alex, who was waiting a long time to ask Erika what happened when she was meditating but hesitated, not wanting to upset her mother, took this opportunity to ask her. Erika explains how she becomes one with nature, how it feels when it finally happens, and how her desire to stay like it takes control over all her rational thoughts.
"I won't be able to understand until I have experienced it, but you must be careful while trying this method again and knowing the consequence of losing yourself. We can't afford to lose you. It will drive Logan crazy, and this world will fall into commotion."
"Please, be careful, Erika, huh?" Alex said while putting his hand on her and looking at her. Erika nodded her head in understanding.
"Get some rest tonight. Try again tomorrow," Alex said, looking at her for answers. He got up from the swing when she nodded and went to sleep.
