Chapter 121
Chapter 121
"Mr. Fisher, I think you shouldn't watch romantic dramas from now on," Gloria could only say euphemistically.
If it was a few years ago, Gloria would have laughed about it, but she now reminded herself every minute of who Derrick was.
"That's what you think. I don't think I'm wrong," said Derrick indifferently. He continued, "Fine. I want you to look at me with admiration. Keep in mind that I am your customer. You must satisfy all my requests."
"I refuse," said Gloria. She felt that her mind was a mess. She had no intention of doing such a silly thing with Derrick.
"Gloria, have you forgotten that I am your customer? If you don't do as I say, I will talk to Emily," said Derrick.
"Fine. I will do it. Don't go to Emily," Gloria said hurriedly. She didn't want to receive complaints.
After Gloria finished speaking, she looked at Derrick. Seeing him looking at her expectantly, she had to pretend that she admired him while cupping her face with her hands. She said, "Is this OK?"
"Don't move. That's right. Just stay in this position," said Derrick.
Then he took out his phone as fast as he could and walked behind Gloria. He wrapped his arm around her and took a photo. In the photo, Derrick was holding Gloria, who was shy and covered her face.
"Great! Let's go in now," Derrick said and held Gloria's hand. Then he was about to enter the amusement park.
Gloria pulled a long face. Feeling in a pickle, she said, "Mr. Fisher, you took a photo of me without my permission. You must delete it."
"Why should I?" Derrick asked.
"I didn't agree to have a photo with you," Gloria said helplessly.
"But I managed to take the photo anyway. Why should I wait for you to say yes?" The haughty look on Derrick's face reminded Gloria of those bad boys she encountered when she was in the werewolf school.
Gloria was pissed off. She said firmly, "Are you going to delete it or not?"
"No." Derrick was still tough.
"How could you do this?" Gloria complained.
"What can you do anyway?" he snorted.
Gloria pondered for a moment and realized that he was right. She couldn't do anything to him. So, she had to compromise. She said, "Then, don't show it to anyone."
Derrick revealed a victorious smile on his face. He said, "Alright. You have my word."
Gloria seemed to forget how Derrick tricked her into this place.
Derrick was overjoyed. He said happily, "Come on, let's try the roller coaster."
"I don't think so," looking at the track of the roller coaster, she said worriedly.
"Don't tell me you are afraid. How can you be so timid?" Derrick was surprised.
"I am not afraid." For some reason, Gloria did not want to admit that she was afraid. She said stubbornly while pretending to be tough.
"Then hurry up. You won't cry when we are on the roller coaster later, will you?" said Derrick.
"Of course not!" Gloria retorted immediately. In the next second, she followed Derrick to the roller coaster, ignoring how scared she was.
The roller coaster was very exciting. Gloria gritted her teeth and didn't scream out because she wanted to compete with Derrick. She was a little pale when she got off.
However, Gloria found this throbbing feeling new and fun.
"Yeah? Are you OK? You've been so quiet. Are you too scared to speak?" Derrick said with a smile.
"I'm not totally OK. You know what? Why don't we give it another round?" said Gloria stubbornly.
In fact, Derrick had been observing Gloria quietly. Looking at her pale face, he said, "It's enough for me. I'm going to the merry-go-round now."
"That's for kids," said Gloria.
"Seriously? Even a merry-go-round is too much for you?" Derrick pretended to be surprised and said in a loud voice. As he expected, Gloria's expression changed.
He continued, "Even kids are braver than you."
"I am not afraid at all! Let's go!" Gloria was provoked, and Derrick got his way again.
Looking at Gloria's back, Derrick smirked.
With the same trick, Derrick took Gloria on a lot of projects in the amusement park. Gradually, she became the one taking the initiative to participate in those projects.
"Well, it's time for us to go now. I'll give you a ride to your dormitory." Derrick checked the time, grabbed Gloria, and headed to his car.
"Just take me back to Fittro Club," she said.
"Fittro Club? Why don't you take a look at what time it is now?" Derrick smiled.
Only then did Gloria realize that it was already very late.
Derrick took Gloria back to the dormitory, and she got out of the car. As she stood next to his car, she hesitated on how to say goodbye to him.
Derrick suddenly pulled Gloria toward him, lowered his head, and kissed her on the forehead. She ducked hastily, turned, and ran to the dormitory without saying goodbye.
Standing behind her, Derrick shouted, "Gloria, let's take the Ferris wheel next time."
Gloria paused, and Derrick knew that he hit the nail on her head. When they were at the amusement park, he saw the eagerness in her eyes when she was looking at the Ferris wheel.
Gloria didn't turn around. She felt a lump in her throat, and after a while, she asked him in a hoarse voice, "Mr. Fisher, did you really want to go to the amusement park today? Or was it because you knew that I wanted to go?"
Derrick sounded surprised. He said, "Don't be that confident. I wanted to go there, that's all."
Gloria breathed a sigh of relief. She said, "Good night." Then she hurried upstairs without hesitation.
Looking at the entrance where Gloria disappeared, Derrick took out his phone, clicked on the album, and looked through the photos of Gloria smiling and enjoying the games.
There was a smile in his eyes. He wanted nothing but her hearty smile. The truth was, he never enjoyed amusement parks.
