Chapter 103
Chapter 103
When their skins touched, both of them suddenly woke up. They had crossed a line, and their actions just now seemed immature, completely out of character for them.
However, neither of them, as people who had never deeply loved before, understood that sometimes true feelings, regardless of personality or reason, could emerge.
It was as if everything fell into place naturally, as if it was fate.
Just as Alessia and Dominic were thinking about how to resolve this awkward situation, the bathroom door was pushed open.
"Daddy, mommy, it's time to eat!" Eleanor's childish voice rang out.
Not far from the room, the landlady was arranging the dishes on the table. She turned her head along with Eleanor and saw the man pinning the woman against the wall in the bathroom, cupping her face, a suggestive sight.
"Oh! Daddy and mommy are kissing, you can't look!" Eleanor quickly covered her eyes and turned to the landlady, gesturing for her to cover her eyes too.
"Okay, okay, I won't look," the landlady replied with a smile, averting her gaze.
If there were a hole, Alessia would want to crawl into it immediately.
Alessia couldn't find a place to look, and she saw Eleanor closing the bathroom door from the outside.
Indeed, she and Dominic were like their daughter's personal bodyguards!
Alessia was speechless.
Dominic had already calmly released her.
"Don't get the wrong idea, I have no intentions towards you," Dominic said, lifting his head.
"Mr. Carter, neither do I. I don't have the habit of going back on my word," Alessia replied, looking up at him.
Both of them tacitly understood that they would treat this moment of excitement as an accident.
Dominic straightened his clothes and walked out of the bathroom as if nothing had happened.
Alessia washed her face and closed her eyes in front of the mirror, completely erasing the scene from her mind.
She reminded herself that she must not make the same mistake twice, especially since Dominic harbored such strong animosity towards her grandfather. Although she didn't understand why Dominic resented her grandfather, that was the barrier between them.
If something like today were to happen again, it would be troublesome if she couldn't restrain herself.
She didn't want to get involved in romance; she just wanted to find her grandfather, cure Elle's illness, and retrieve her lost memories.
Alessia sighed, calming herself down, and then left the bathroom.
In the room, the landlady had already left, and Dominic and Eleanor were eating.
Alessia walked over, picked up her plate, and no one mentioned what had just happened.
Even Eleanor seemed to have forgotten. After finishing her meal, she obediently climbed into bed and quickly fell asleep.
After finishing his meal, Dominic lay down on the sofa.
Alessia silently tidied up and also slept beside Eleanor without making a fuss.
She slept until two o'clock, although she didn't make up for her sleep completely, she did regain some energy.
Leaving the hotel, with Dominic driving, they arrived back in Toronto by five in the evening.
As the car entered the community, Dominic didn't give Alessia a hard time this time. He let her take Elle back to the villa opposite theirs while he returned to his own home.
When Alessia entered the house, she saw Bianca, Riley, Christopher, and Christian.
She had called Bianca in the morning after finding Elle.
They had rushed back to Toronto.
Jessie and Dylan had left after confirming that Elle was safe.
As soon as Eleanor entered, Christian hugged her tightly, his small hands constantly patting Eleanor's head. "Elle, I am sorry."
"Chris, it's not your fault. The bad person is just too bad. There's no way to guard against thieves for a thousand days without catching them. She targeted me, she would come sooner or later," Eleanor comforted Christian back, incredibly obedient.
Bianca angrily said, "I knew Sisca was not a good person, but I didn't expect her to be this bad. Let's see how she still pretends to be a pure and innocent flower after this. It's best if she gets locked up for good this time."
"You've been scolding all day, have some water," Riley handed a glass of water to Bianca.
Bianca took a sip and blushed.
Riley said, "You've been on guard all day. Now that Elle is back, you should go back and rest."
Just as Bianca, who was calm just now, heard this, she immediately exploded, "Are you trying to kick me out?"
"No, I'm just genuinely concerned about you," Riley said with gentle sincerity in his fox-like eyes.
Bianca felt that things weren't that simple. She stood up, separated herself from Riley, and said to Alessia, "Sister-in-law, although this incident was caused by my brother's bad luck, in the end, my brother is also a victim. Now that my brother has completely rid himself of Sisca, there are no obstacles between you and my brother."
Riley said, "This burden has been thrown off, but who knows if your brother will attract other burdens in the future."
"Riley Sinclair, you just can't get along with me, can you?" Bianca said, hands on her hips.
Riley remained composed, his demeanor unchanged. "I'm just discussing the matter at hand."
Alessia watched the two about to start a fight next to her, feeling helpless.
Mature and steady Riley surprisingly could quarrel with fiery Bianca. Perhaps they were destined to be a pair of quarrelsome lovers.
Alessia didn't intend to meddle. She held Elle's hand, who had just reunited with her two brothers and shared her joys and sorrows, and went upstairs to take a shower.
Perhaps because Elle was lost and then found again, she was particularly good at stirring up emotions.
Christopher and Christian followed behind, climbing the stairs together.
Alessia felt warm in her heart. The feeling of a family loving each other was really nice.
She hoped that when they grew up, the relationship between the three siblings would remain unchanged, just like before.
As Alessia stepped onto the second-floor staircase, her phone rang.
She glanced at the caller ID and found it was from the Carter family's old mansion.
