After Divorce: Loved by the Secret Billionaire CEO

Chapter 117 Frame up

Chapter 117 Frame up

Ethan's POV

I felt disgusted as Martha grabbed my hands. Looking up at me with joy.

And the worst part she called herself my mother in law.

Yes I would have gladly agreed to that statement a year ago, that was if Rachel was my wife, but now even if Rachel and I end up together, which I hoped, I would never give her that respect.

I shook her hands off me, glaring at her in disgust.

"Get your hands off me." I said and the older looking woman most did a double take.

"What are you saying? You're here to make sure Lana gets the justice she deserves right? To make sure Rachel spends the rest of her life in jail?"

No the only person who deserve to go to jail right now was Lana, and she was dead!

I took a step back from her staring at her coldly while resisting the urge to just shut her up.

Just one punch from me and she would be out on the floor, that was a bet.

"No... " How can you do this to Lana!" She screamed. "You got her pregnant and now choose to turn your back on her now that she's dead? To support her killer? Just what kind of man are you?!"

Pregnant?

There it was again.

I was too shock with the pregnancy that Martha kept bringing up to actually focus on the fact that she was using those hands of her's to touch me.

"Martha stop that, he is Ethan Wright for fuck sake." Thankfully for her, her husband immediately held her back just before I realized.

From the corner of my eyes, I could see Marina and Mark.

Marina wanted to walk over, but Mark held her back and lead her out of the station, but not before giving me a small nod.

I needed no one to tell me that my best friend was in love with that loud mouth woman already, because he was being so protective of her, he had been right from the first time they met.

"I'm so sorry sir. Please pardon my wife's actions. You know we are all just so emotions since he lost our daughter just few hours ago". I heard Derick say and I turned to face the older couple.

At least one of them could still recognize power even while grieving.

"The truth is I don't care about your daughter's death. I never had anything to do with her, and I'm only here because of Rachel. " I explained curtly.

If there was one thing I hated was giving explanations to people who sure as hell don't deserve it, and the family in front of me was one.

The girl at the back, which I could only assume was one of Rachel's... Lana's cousins had been blinking her eyes and even licking her lips several times since I came in here, such a despicable family.

"Liar!" Martha yelled again, and for a second I thought the woman had gone crazy. " You and Lana had something with each other, Lana told me herself. If not why would she be pregnant?"

Was that really a question?

Who knows why a woman gets pregnant?

I snorted shaking my head at Martha before resuming my cold glare. " Look here Mrs Andrews, I'm going to say this again because of the little respect I have for you because you raised Rachel, Lana and I had nothing to do with each other, absolutely nothing".

I wanted to also ask them to drop the charges against Rachel since they were the main people actually putting her in jail, but I stopped last minute.

Derick Andrews was an ambitious man, and that was the reason he dived into illegal activities just to make more money. There was no doubt that he would ask for something in return and that would be my company, partnering with his failing one.

There was nothing I wouldn't, or couldn't do for Rachel, but I was also very sure that if she found out, she might just hate me even more.

" Then, then who is the father of her baby?" Martha asked as she began to sob again.

The death of Lana must have hit her hard. She only just found her daughter months ago and now she was gone again, I could relate to the pain, but that didn't mean I was going to let her just get away with anything.

"Mrs Andrews, I'm sure you know the answer to that question, or maybe you don't since your daughter isn't really a filial one. But I've just got one thing to say to you... " I took two steps towards her and stopped right in front of her.

" Rachel didn't kill Lana, so I expect nothing to happen to her in here. "

" Mr Wright, you can't threaten us with your position and power, our daughter deserves justice ". Derick said holding his trembling wife in his hands.

Threaten? I chucked deeply.

" I'm not threatening you, when did I issue a threat? But I got one thing though. If anything happens to Rachel in here... " I left the rest of my sentence unfinished, leaving an undeniable threat, or should I say warning at the ending before walking past them and out of the station.

" Even when he is angry he's hot ". I heard the girl who followed them say before they were completely out of hearing range.

Despicable, just despicable.

She came along with a grieving family, yet she was still ogling men, who was going to believe she was grieving?

But in her defense, Lana didn't deserve someone to grief for her. She was a bad person, and she only got what she deserved, the only person I pitied was the poor child in her womb.

And why the hell did she pin the child on me?

The misunderstanding happened just two days ago, how and what did she say to Rachel to make her believe that if was my child?

I sighed getting into my car before driving off.

It pained me to leave Rachel alone in a place like this, but I knew it was better.

I had to leave so I could find out the real culprit as soon as possible so Rachel would be free from the allegation.

Marina was sure about it, so I couldn't have any doubt too, also Rachel denied killing Lana, so that was it.

She was so sure that she didn't kill her to the point that she believed the law would justify her, something I knew would never happen especially if the real killer was still free.

" Well then Rachel, since you don't want me to get you out of prison, I'll just find the real killer of that stupid bitch."

I wasn't giving Lana justice because she didn't deserve it, I was just not going to let Rachel spend more time in that godforsaken place.

I saw the glint in Martha's eyes as I left the station, she was planning something for Rachel and it didn't look good.

I brought our my phone still keeping my eyes on the road and was about to dial Mark's number when I remembered that he was with Marina.

He looked so worried when he left, he must have probably taken her to the hospital.

I would have to talk to the commissioner of police to talk to the chief to make she no harm comes to Rachel, because I had a bad feeling some bad might happen to her, and it was fucking nauseating.

"Just why the hell do you have to die now Lana!" I groaned taking another turn.

The person didn't even even bother to clear the evidence, what kind of murder was that?

And why was Rachel the first and only suspect, Lana has lots of enemies.

This could only mean one thing, this was a fucking frame up.

Now it remains just one question, a question that if answered would end this whole shared and bring out the true killer.

Who hates both Rachel and Lana to this extent?
