Chapter 53 Are you fucking kidding me?
Chapter 53 Are you fucking kidding me?
Rachel's POV
Marina's countenance changed as soon as she said it. She was, she was afraid.
"How are you sure she was talking about me?" I asked as soon as I heard the ding sound from the elevator.
Marina gave me a dumb look "Who else could Olivia and Lana have a common hatred towards?" She asked with an incredulous tone as she led me... Out?
"Where are we going?" I asked surprised.
Because Marina was in front of me I wasn't able to see the she pressed on the elevator, but now I was very sure it was not to our floor.
"Well, right after I saw the two talking together, I also saw Olivia whisper something to George Stone; now he called off the break and ordered me to call all the actors back to set, well... To call the actors back to their rooms to pick up their things." She completed.
But by the time she was done, I could clearly see which floor we were up, oh... And it wasn't even a floor, it was the freaking roof!
What the hell!
Holy shit! I exclaimed as I looked down briefly from the roof. We were high... Very high! Just how many stories is this building? Was this even legal?
What did Olivia want, to push me off the damn building?
"Marina..." I ran catching up to her.
Damn her long legs. I had the same, actually a little bit longer but since I was so distracted with trying not to have an heart attack from how high we were she was in front.
"Does Oliver want to throw me off this building? Just because of a man? Marina, if she even thinks about doing that I would die! You know I have a killer dear for height..." I trailed off.
Then it dawned on me.
"This was Lana's plan?" I asked in a whisper, but Marina heard it.
I had two main fears in life, flying and heights. Not a lot of people knew the second one because I masked it really well, for fuck sake I even joined gymnastics, but the fear never left me. Lana was part of the very few people who knew this fear, now she was using it against me.
"Bingo..." She exclaimed stopping to look at me.
"My bet is that both of them are walking together to ruin you Rach, and when I saw Olivia whispering it was probably to move the location of the set which is what is happening."
Moving? They're moving!
But my part in the movie was almost done... I was to die in my next few scenes!
"And I also think that this..." She pointed at the roof top we were at making me remember my fear of heights. "...This, was Lana's idea. Because even though we were moving, a plane would suffice, but they just had to go with helicopter."
Heli... What!
My eyes widened as I stared at Marina in shock. Now I understood why she sounded so worried on the phone, that was because she should be. I would never survive and helicopter ride, it was the combination of my two worst fears!
"No.. no... No" I shook my head "...Marina, you have to convince the director to change his mind, tell him that one of the actors has aerophobia, and acrophobia for Christ sake! I can't get on an helicopter!" I shouted looking over my shoulder.
Goodness... The fear of height had began kicking in, argh... I need to get down now!
"Don't you think I tried?" Marina yelled back her brushing her long hair which the wind kept on blowing to her face. "I tried to talk to George, o explained your entire situation to him, but he said you can manage, he explained some shit to mez that made sense at the moment. I'm sorry Rachel, but you have to get on the helicopter."
Manage? Are you fucking kidding me!
"You better go tell that director of your's that his third female lead would be dying early if he doesn't change his transportation plans." I warned, my hands clutching my purse tightly as I brought it to my chest.
God, this was so high.
Marina walked up to me and pulled by hands away from my chest holding it in hers. "Rach... Rach... Rachel!" She shouted before my eyes could look away from the ground and towards her.
My heart was beating so fast right now I could swear it would jump out from my chest at any minute.
"Rachel, you have to get in that helicopter..." No, I shook my head but Marina gave me a look that meant she was not done.
Yeah... Okay, you want to hear what she could say that would make me hop on that helicopter.
"Rachel, if you don't get on the helicopter, you're letting Olivia and Lana win, and we can't have that. I know your afraid, I can see your afraid, but if you don't do this now, Lana would smile in triumph when we arrive at Miami..."
"Miami?" I asked interrupting Marina from her long brave speak.
Miami was one of my favourite places in world, guess Lana forgot about, or she didn't know where we were going. As much as I hated traveling, the only place I made an exception too was Miami, but that too was by ship.
A smile adorned Marina lips as she nodded. "That was the good news among the two bad ones. I don't think Lana knows where were going, if she did she would have opted against it." Then her smile disappeared and she was back to being serious.
"Rachel you have to show Lana that she had completely lost control over your life, and the best way to show that is by not falling for her antics... So, you're getting on that plane." She said at the end.
I snickered looking at her. She didn't even ask me if I wanted to get on the plane... Tsk
But I was going anyways, it was definitely not her speech whish inspired me, but I needed to show Lana that I was no longer the scared Rachel she knew before.
Even though I was; in fact I was terrified!
"Fine, since you begged." I said rolling my eyes at Marina who chuckled, byt deep down I just kept on saying my prayers.
"How many helicopters?" I suddenly asked.
"Er... It was five I think. The first two female leads in one, the two male leads in one, the camera men and stunt team in other, the directors on one, and the last one for the last main lead alone... Now that I'm saying it out loud, it was probably still Lana and Olivia planning to make you die in the helicopter, but no worries, I told the director that I was riding with you." She said giving me a gentle nudge on my arm as we began walking towards the helicopter again.
A smile unconsciously came to my lips. Marina was the best friend I could have gotten if I hadn't listened to David's complaints about her. But there was still time to make it up.
We arrived at the large aircraft and my eyes spotted Raine behind it.
What was he still doing here? Wasn't he supposed to be in another helicopter with the second male lead Kaiser?
The director made a few changes to the script three weeks ago and introduced a new actor, Kaiser, who played Ron, a guy who fell in love with Mara when she was staying with Agnes.
But he didn't last though, Joyce killed him too. Aftee her husband went with Mara, she went on a killing spree and began to locate every single person that ever loved Mara and killed them off.
"Raine..." I called out to him as he walked towards us.
"What are you still doing here?" Marina asked. Raine winked before his lips spilt into a full blown grin.
"I was about leaving when I remembered a certain someone had fear of flying... I guess the director really didn't put you thoughts when he changed the script." He said with a wink at me, I rolled my eyes at his mockery.
If even Raine noticed it why didn't the director himself?
Was he so blind to Olivia and Lana's tactics or was he just fucking pretending? I wondered breathing in deeply.
"Anyways I decided to ride with you, and I brought..." He reached out to a bag behind him and brought out his headphones. "I also download most of Cat Burns songs and a few others hate songs for me just for you." He said with a smile giving me his headphones.
I don't know why he's being nice to me, not like he wasn't always, but it was weird. Anyways I took the head phone from his hands, I was going to really need it if I was riding on that huge hunk of junk.
"Thank you."
